How To Get Sued By The Chamber Of Commerce And Influence

The Supreme Court (Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission) ruled that?

In the week or so before last Tuesday's senatorial election in Massachusetts there were numerous commercials on the radio for Coakley, most sponsored by various public employees' unions. I heard very few for Brown. The bottom line is that most people are smart enough to be swayed by news and debates and not by incessant commercials deriding "the failed policies of George Bush." Enough people in Massachusetts figured out that George Bush is not the president anymore. It's Barack Hussein Obama and they had had enough of his policies. I don't think this will do anything except add to the net profits of media companies. People will vote for the better man/woman regardless of the number of commercials sponsored by unions or corporations.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is launching a campaign opposing Trump’s tariffs. What effect will this have on republican business owners' view of Trump?

This may be hard to believe, but many established large business owners do not support Trump. Most supporters of Trump in his bid for the presidency were blue collar, skilled workers who hope to benefit from his imposed tariffs. There are two ways to know this: 1) the states that tipped the scales for Trump’s win in 2016 were Wisconsin & Michigan; and 2) Trump received little contribution from business owners or bankers. He won based on: building a wall; abolishing unfair trade; lowering taxes; and building up the military. As you probably already know… the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has never supported President Trump or his policies; so it is quite expected that they would oppose him now. Any business owner that supported Donald Trump for president is probably still on his side. Most business owners are certainly NOT represented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. According to Trump, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is part of the SWAMP.

What qualifies someone to be a China hand (expert) in western countries?

It’s always difficult to define when to call oneself an expert, but I assume our company (WalktheChat, specializing on e-commerce in China) counts a few people whom we could call experts - experts enough so that major fortune 500 companies regularly invite us to provide consulting and give speeches. There are a few elements which suggest expertise in our space:Ability to have a holistic view of an ecosystem: whether it’s e-commerce like in our case, but also in politics, language or tea, or whatever field. In our space, this would mean understanding how the major actors (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent) influence the market, what is their strategies, why, how smaller players in the market relate to them and what are the trends underlying these actionsBeing able to bring beginners up to speed: China is complex, and often very hard to grasp for foreigners. A so called expert should be able to talk to complete beginners and enable them to understand an area through a step-by-step explanation. An expert should also be able to go more in-depth with an interlocutor having a deeper topical understandingCapacity to go from theory to implementation: a lot of people tend to claim themselves “China experts”. The difference between a wannabe and a true expert is usually the a capacity to deliver. Where a “faker” would easily be able to present slides and strategy, true expertise suggests the ability to turn tactics into concrete actions (in our case, that would mean generate sales for our clients)Many companies are stepping forward today claiming to be able to be “China experts”. More often than not, they try to confuse their clients, pretending things are more complex than they actually are, and charging huge fees. We take the opposite approach, trying to educate people and helping them get a clear view for themselves. And that’s what I would call true expertise.

Starting a construction company help?

Starting a construction company?
So I really want to have a Construction business when I am older, I think not only that is a business you can make big bucks in if you do it right. But, I am also a football lineman and live in a rural forest so I do a lot of manual labor, I get things done physically, and this company will let me keep working and smelling to high havens when I get home which makes me feel successful But I have a few questions for you Yahooians and see what you can ponder.

1st off, how really do you start a successful construction or trade company? I am thinking about majoring in business at my nearby University then later start the business. What do you think?

Question #2, okay, I know there are a lot of aspects to construction, such as:
Asbestos & Mold Removal
Building Construction
Woodworking
Cleaning Services
Demolition & Site Prep
Electrical
Excavation
Fencing & Decking
Flooring & Tiling
Handyman
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Junk Removal
Landscaping Services
Locksmith
Masonry
Painting & Wall Covering
Paving & Concrete
Plastering, Drywall & Ceiling
Roofing
Tree Service
Welding & Metal Work
Windows & Doors

How many of these specialties can a construction company plan to be able to do? Sure you can know how to do all, but what seems realistic?

I thank you for reading my question and thoroughly appreciate it! Any imput I will enjoy to hear.

Why do some people think it's acceptable for China to steal the West's intellectual property and not follow WTO rules?

Information on this is a little sketchy, but from more than one source I’ve noticed that the major complaint is that American companies doing business in China, as a condition of doing business there, have to sign over some of their intellectual properties. Frankly, I don’t know if this is true, or not, and I doubt that there are actually many people who can actually speak to this with authority. However, I’ll make the point that if true, no one is “stealing” the intellectual property, they’re willingly giving it up as a condition of doing business there. In other words, because they want to do business in China, they’re willing to give up some intellectual property for the privilege. That’s not stealing. It may feel like being hijacked, maybe even blackmailed into doing so, but if it is a condition of doing business then it’s a choice they willingly make.On the other hand, and more disturbingly, Russia, North Korea, China, and probably Israel, and who knows who else, all have state arms that are actively engaged in hacking, breaking into American computers systems for the purpose of stealing intellectual property.Interesting that the one method gets all the publicity while the other method simply goes on quietly in the background. That’s called “propaganda,” which by any other name is meant to influence public opinion.Let me get this straight. Companies willingly give up intellectual property for the privilege of doing business in China, and this we call “stealing,” while the real thievery goes on quietly in the background all the time, and this we simply ignore. People are such sheep…

Why does it seem like all woman spaces are more accepted then all male spaces? Is this equal?

Thank you for the A2A,This is an interesting question and actually a good observation. Generally speaking, female-only spaces are seen in a more positive light than male-only spaces that are often seen as sexist.I imagine the origin comes from how we always think of women needing personal space away from peeping toms. Thinking about it now, women only groups have always been a thing from nunneries to nymphs in mythology. So it's pretty deeply ingrained in our culture to give women their own spaces. Now in the modern age, everyone is so set on tearing down the establishment and doing away with tradition and 'smashing da patriarchy' they want to get rid of these gender exclusionary spaces. Except they don't really latch on to the female-centric ones. I guess this is one of modern day feminism's tendrils of influence. To be completely transparent I am 100% in favour of gender exclusionary spaces. Boys clubs and girls clubs alike. There are a few reasons, but I like this quote from Hajime Tabata (Final Fantasy XV's release director)"Even the presence of one female in the group will change their behaviour, so that they'll act differently. So to give the most natural feeling, to make them feel sincere and honest, having them all the same gender made sense in that way,"And that's just it, being around the opposite sex always ends up being somewhat performative so there should be gender segregated spaces where people can just chill. Not only that but space where you can participate in gender-typical behaviour without the judging eye of 'enlightened' modern day women with disdain for traditionalism? Sign me up to sew a goddamn doily and make the perfect cup of tea!So when it comes to dismantling things like boy scouts or letting anyone into special segregated spaces like that I'm against it. It isn't as if these spaces are one of kind, for boy scouts we have girl scouts, and for basement dwelling gaming clubs we have girl gaming clubs too and even if one counterpart was missing we have the resources to make it!
