How To Improve In Soccer

How to improve my kick in soccer?

even though you said your legs are strong enough you can always use a little extra muscle on your legs cus this will help your speed a little and you won't have to work as hard to get a good shot off. make sure you work on your abs cus when you shoot you are twisting your body and that uses your abs

second make sure you are striking the ball properly. when your just going for power you have to take about 3 steps back and accelarate into the ball. make sure you strike it w/ your laces more specifically hit yoru sweet spot (a bone in the middle of your foot that is kinda higher than the rest of your foot). and make sure you follow through when you kick the ball you hsould kinda be jumping into it and make sure you land on your leg you shot with (look up some videos of ronaldinho shooting to see exactly what i mean cus he is a great example of how to do it properly). and to keep your shot lower lean over the ball more and if yoru volleying keep your knee over it to keep it low and on volleys don't worry about power just concentrate on yoru timing cus you are just redirecting the ball so it should already have enough power.

o and to practice hitting yoru sweet spot you need to take off your shoe and feel around for the bone that is kinda like the peak of the top of your foot and put your hand on it. and when yoru shooting like in practice or at home as soon as you shoot bend down and point to where you struck the ball on your foot and see if it is yoru sweet spot and keep doin this until you are hitting it EVREY SINGLE TIME. i promise if you don't already do this your shot power AND accuracy will improve trememndously.

o and you can also ask one of those girls that has an amazing kick or your coach and i am sure they will also give you more advice

this is the BEST advice about shooting i have ever gotten so i hope this helped you as much as it has me. good luck

How to Improve Soccer Skills?

Most importantly you need to be working to become a better Soccer player each and every single day. If you think you’re “good enough” you’re wrong. Make a commitment to improve in some way every day and you will be on the road to Soccer success.

If you want to become better you should be looking to improve all areas of your game not just a select few: Technical Skill, Physical Fitness, Mental Toughness, and Tactical Understanding.

First of all you need to start training on your own - work to improve the basic ball skills, dribbling, shooting, passing, and ball control. Example: Dribble a ball around the house, practice your passing and shooting on a wall for 10 minutes a day.

Work to improve your fitness: strength, power, speed, acceleration, endurance, and flexibility. Example: every second day do 50 push ups, 100 squats, and 50 sit ups .... go for a run every morning, gradually increasing your speed each time.

Next you need to always give your best effort on the field. Remember you only have one chance to play that game so leave it all out there. Make a promise to yourself to be the hardest working player on the field, every time you step on the field.

You should also start watching professional Soccer at least 1 game per week, you can learn so much from pros. Don't just watch the ball, watch specific players and watch what they do both on and off the ball.

If you’re really serious about seeing those improvements your talking about pick up my Free Training Guide and complete the Beginner training program at the end of the book. I promise if you stick to it and give your best effort each day you will see changes in your game. You can get that Free Training Guide as well as weekly tips and updates by filling out the form on the right side bar of my website, I will post the link in the resource box.

I want you to write back after you have completed the program and tell me about your improvements. Best of luck and keep me posted on your progress.

How do I improve my first touch in soccer?

See other answers, especially Jayant. Practice is inevitable, but your feet (both feet) should have enough feel of the ball. Dribble alone. Think of random maneuvers and time your left-right-front-back moves.Mark goal width and try to push in ball from i) penalty kick point and ii) from a little further away. Then practice to do same while coming racing in. Note carefully which of your foot side is strong. Usually people are right-footed.Always do a bit of stretching before doing practice. Thanks for a2a.

How do I improve soccer juggling and tips?

Juggling in soccer is a good exercise because it helps the calves but it also helps you get used to the ball and enhances your controlling skills. You’d have an excellent control if your juggling skills are super. To juggle, make sure the ball lands on the flattest surface of your foot and keep it straight and firm to prevent the ball going to different direction. Always practice with both feet and not just your preferred foot. Use your arms to give you balance. Tune it so that you’re firm. This will also improve balance. This will improve your weaker foot and improve its ability to control the ball. Always try to play keepy-up (it’s a juggling game between two or more, the ball never touches the ground). Also try juggling smaller balls cause it makes the bigger balls easier to juggle. How to juggle for beginners

How to improve stamina for football ( soccer ) ?

Hi everyone. I am a 15 year old football player. Football is my life, I try to involve it in everything. So basically there is this extremely important local tournament that is sponsored by La Liga.. the ACTUAL La Liga so it s very important. During the tournament some scouts look for good players and then those players get tested to join an elite team, pretty much like the NFL combine. My main aim is to be able to join the team but I cannot do it with my current stamina. I have a very toned body, I am actually the fastest student in my school but I just don t know what s wrong. I always move around during PE class while playing and I don't get as tired. Before the tournament I went to the gym and used the treadmill for about 30 minutes everyday ( running only ) hoping to improve my stamina but nope. When I played in that tournament last year, I was VERY VERY nervous and that somehow made me lose my breath very quickly. While playing I was already out of breath after literally one sprint. I was struggling very hard for the rest of the game. I am pretty sure it has to do with how much I always get nervous. What s weird though is non of my teammates have the same problem, they all seem to be fine even though my friend was as nervous as I am. I have no health issues at all. Can someone please help me ?

How to improve my accuracy in long balls in soccer?

Accuracy takes some time to develop but you can do little things to help this. As far as long balls go, stengthening your legs and abbs will help a lot. Do more sit up, leg lifts (lifting you feet 6 inches off the ground while lying on your back), and weights for your legs. For accuracy, start by making sure your accurate with short distances. A good drill I do a lot is placing the ball on the PK spot or 18 and shoot at the posts and see how many times it takes to hit all 3. Once you get that down, start doing it from further away. Try keeping the ball in the air to make it more game like. Another quick and easy drill to do is get a team mate and stand 20 yards or so apart and try to hit the ball to thier chest. Move further apart to increase your accuracy on longer passes. Keep juggling to help you game over all. Hope that helps. Good luck!
