How To Join Mca Will That Help Me

I am BCA graduate. Should I join TCS with part time MCA from Sastra University or go for full time MCA after 2 year experience at TCS?

Ya so if you are BCA graduate then you have these two options in front of you -You can go for Shastra but it is of 3 years (no lateral entry). In Shastra 3 subjects are of your course and other 3 depends on your performance in TCS. So, there might be huge chances that many more companies dont give recognition to Shastra MCA degree.But if you take break of 2 years from TCS you can do MCA in 2 years. After 2 years you can again join TCS . And it will have recognition from almost all companies. And one year advantage too ;)But for those who are financially not so stable.TCS Shashtra is really efficient with 15 k per semester.Good luck :)

Is anyone doing /did MCA from IGNOU while doing a job? How is/was your experience?

I did my MCA with A grade in 2006 and at the same time I was doing job in a small software company as application developer. I joined IGNOU in 2001 for BCA+MCA.I cleared my all BCA papers in 2005 and started job hunting, and fortunately I got the opportunity (part-time@3000)in a very small company but that was enough to kick start my carrier. I worked there for 10 months and then got offer from next small company but bigger than the previous one with a increased salary(full-time-10000). I enjoyed my studies and job well. Experience was awesome, as the journey was full of challenges everyday. I agree with "Ankit Patel" on comments about IGNOU study process, it really takes hard to get it done. No helps, guidance from your center, classes and projects are just for formality. there is minimum attendance required to be eligible for practical exams but centers manages that as they are more happy if you are not going there for study, but I really enjoyed, I attended all the classes(theory and practical) as per schedules given by center. I many times faced annoying looks from faculties when they see students on time for classes.  Since the question is about MCA with job: it was good. Job in software company helped me in my studies a lot and so I was able to get a good grade. Job helped me in paying my fee easily. Many people find it difficult to manage Job and study in parallel. That wasn't the case with me, I was able to manage this as I was used to it. I did many jobs (helper at STD booth, Paan shop, tea stall, taught in couple of street level primary school, taught home tuition etc) since school time, So it was not that difficult for me. Good part of all this is I learned that "Whatever the situations are, it completely depends on you that what you want to achieve and how". Best of luck for your future!!
