How To Keep Hair Straight In Louisiana

How to keep my hair from frizzing right when I walk outside?

I live in Florida, which is the most humid state of them all! I totally know your feel. I'm going to recommend a few products that you should add to your routine that WONT make your hair oily! ^-^
You can purchase Aveda products at a sally beauty supply store, or online. Get the Smooth Infusion conditioner! After you shampoo your hair, apply the conditioner and leave it on for at least 5 minutes. Then, rinse your hair with cold water. After you get out of the shower, wrap your hair in a towel for about 10 minutes, then apply Beyond the Zone Straight Shot Kill the Kink (also can be purchased online or at sallys beauty supply) to your hair. You don't need very much of this, a little goes a long way! Afterwards, blow-dry your hair with the attachment to make your hair straight. If you don't have one of these, buy a round tunnel brush. The bigger the brush, the straighter your hair gets... but the harder it is to handle. After blow-drying, (use heat protector) and straighten your hair! It'll be easy to straighten!
I'd also recommend going to a salon and getting your hair thinned out. Thick hair is hard to deal with in the humidity if you want it to remain straight!

Vaseline in hair after straightening it?

Try putting Vaseline on your arm hair first and see HOW EASY it is to wash off. Imagine how that would be FOR YOUR WHOLE HAIR.

Count how many times you wash the Vaseline, can you imagine hair loss? Yes, that had happened on YA HAIR before. Who ever told you to do that, is doing a prank on you!

How to keep hair straight in Louisiana's humidity?!?

I have naturally past the shoulders curly hair. When I straighten (i have the Chi) my hair and walk outside with louisiana's humidity, it takes less than 5 minutes for my hair to start to curl. First, its the shorter hair that is in front of my ears, my hair is straight and it goes into a full on curl.. Then the hair on the side my swoop bangs are on start to flip outwards. Thats pretty much it, but its definitely enough to have tp put my hair up. I normally wear it curly, but it starts to get boring and I like to straighten it up for a change. Is there a product out there that is good against humidity? I desperately need it ! Thabks in advanced.

Why is the “mainstream” media attacking Trump for visiting Louisiana when Obama is doing nothing but playing golf as reported by the same media?

It’s ridiculous this need of people demanding the appearance of concern rather than the actual fact of useful help. People certainly can’t be relied upon to understand that undramatic behind-the-scenes emails, texts, and phone calls that muster resources and coordinate the actions of thousands of emergency workers is more doing something than showing up with a truck and handing out Play-Doh® to people who’ve just lost everything.I’m sure the people who received their emergency Trump kit feel gratitude for how much Trump appeared to care about their plight, so much so that he showed up in person to shake their hands and offer sympathies. Even if Trump only stopped for 15 minutes at each spot, long enough for the cameras to get their shots. It boggles my mind that these people would say something like, “We lost everything, but we knew you would come. This makes it all worthwhile.”[1]Really? It was worth losing your home and everything in it so that Trump could come to town and sign your hat? That’s what your life has come down to in the end?Even former Democratic senator Mary Landrieu, who is supporting Clinton, said, “I want to thank Mr. Trump for coming” because “he brought attention to our state, and we need that now.”[2]Which is ridiculous. I don’t live in the U.S. and even I’ve been hearing about the flooding everyday for the past week. The media is doing a bang up job of shining a light and bringing attention to the state and the struggles there. Those of you in Louisiana may not realise that because you’re sitting in the middle of a crisis, but rest assured, you DID NOT need Donald Trump to go there for the rest of us to know what was going on.What’s going on here is the need for those in distress to feel that outsiders, the rest of the country — the ones whose opinions they don’t otherwise care about when things are going well — are actually thinking of them, praying for them, sending them emergency supplies, helping them rebuild their homes……and coming to town to take selfies with them, I guess. I guess that’s ultimately what’s most important to people when they’re in distress. Not ever having lost my home, I can’t know what it’s like for Louisianans. I imagine the last thing I’d want is to shake hands with and get an autograph from a politician, but what do I know?~Footnotes[1] Louisianan: 'We lost everything,' but Trump's visit 'makes it all worthwhile'[2] Obama’s flood of hypocrisy opens the door for Trump

How can I stop my hair curling at the ends?

You're not the only one in the world, believe me(: I have the same problem. But after trying tons of products and different methods I can finally fight humidity! Ahaha. Well first I use frizz-ease serum to make my hair smooth. Just use a dime sized amount, depending on your hair.(btw I have thin long hair that reaches to about half of my back) make sure to work it through so that you don't have greasy looking hair. Then straighten it. I always straighten it in layers because you won't leave any hair that way. When you're finished, use some hairspray. I use rave 3x because it doesn't give me the sticky hard feeling, but keeps my hair in place. Just spray lightly, not too much. My hair lasts all day(; for extra humid days, before I go outside I just clamp my hair with a large clip to minimize exposure to the humidty. And when I get indoors or to my destination, it looks like iit did before I left home(; hope this works for you!

Creole from Louisiana or new-Orleans ?

Creole is the non-Anglo-Saxon culture and life-style that flourished in Louisiana before it became a part of the United States in 1803.

Louisiana Creole is a blending of three different ethnic influences: the west European, west African, and includes a significant input from the Native American. BEFORE Louisiana was purchased into the Union, (otherwise before Whites got a hold of it & ripped the defintion apart) Creole was NOT a thing of skin complexion. It was whether or not your bloodline derived from the above stated places. There are Creoles who are extremely dark, and Creoles who can pass for white. And in the past, all were accepted as Creole. NOW...its more a thing of skin complexion. Society has made it so that people only believe u can truly be Creole if u are light skinned with wavy or bone straight hair. But this is not the case at all. The majority of creoles vary between many shades, and those from Louisian typically speak broken French.

Hair curls up because of humidity?

There is not much that can be done apart from re-straightening your hair. Try blow drying it straight after a shower, and then straightening it. However this does cause dry ends and therefore split ends. You could also try chemically straightening it but this is expensive and not healthy for your hair. Embrace your curls!

Is it true that in Colorado, you dry really fast when getting out of the shower?

Out of the shower... no! I live in Colorado, but I travel several times a year. I've been to California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, South Dakota, Michigan, Louisiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and Mexico... and I don't recall drying slower or faster out of the shower in any of those places. I have really long hair too (down to my waist), and I never use a hair dryer, just air dry... and I don't recall it drying slower or faster anywhere either. Out of the shower, it's all the same.

On the other hand... out of the pool, some places can be faster than others... based on how hot it is outside!
