How To Know If You Naturally Fell Asleep Or Blacked Out Drunk

How to know if you naturally fell asleep or blacked out drunk?

I was extremely drunk a few nights ago and remember everything becoming very hazy at one point around 4 or 5 am so I remember getting in bed, but I don't know if I blacked out or just fell asleep how would one know the difference? Also, would you know if you had sex with someone or could you possibly not remember during this period of time? Could you be blacked out and doing things?

If you fall asleep in the bath, will you drown or will you wake up?

This happened to my brother-in-law. He was a junior doctor working stupid hours and fell asleep in the bath. He’s a tall guy and presumably the bath was short so he had his knees bent and he just slid under the water. He told me he woke up straight away opened his eyes and saw the ceiling of the bathroom all shimmery as he was looking up through the bath water. You apparently don’t drown or even ingest any water. There is a reflex that stops you breathing as soon as you go under water.I presume that’s similar to the one that means babies don’t drown if their heads go under water even though they don’t understand what holding their breath means. And maybe that’s the same thing that I find when snorkelling. I always find that it feels more difficult to breathe, not when my mouth and nose go under water but when my eyes go under!

Can you actually die if you have blocked nose and you forcefully closed your mouth with a tape?

I was so curious I tried it.Both nostrils were pretty badly blocked and I hate that dry mouth I wake up with at night when you have a blocked nose. So I thought this swelling of the mucous membranes and excess snot are actual bodily processes for protecting me from further infection, so surely they won't kill me?I strapped my mouth shut with gorilla tape (other brands are available) right round my head 5 times, switched the lights off and went to bed.Pretty quickly the panic set in but also the realisation that there was a small amount of air getting through one of my clogged nostrils but was it enough to keep me alive?Panic was actually increasing my need to breathe so I focussed and calmed myself. Focusing on the slim slipstream of air through one nostril helped, as did slowing my breathing. Shortly I went to sleep and guess what? When I woke up I had a nice damp mouth!

Is it physically possible to sleep while on LSD?

In the heady days of my youth, I did waste a few hours of a few good trips by falling asleep.  So... in my experience, it is possible... yes.... you weren't expecting some medical thing with charts and graphs were you?EDIT:  If you are trippin balls right now, and you feel like you have to get some sleep because you need to work or go to school in the morning, I can't really help you with that.  If you had started doing something REALLY physical at the beginning of the trip (like going to a festival show and dancing for 4-5 hours), then maybe you could fall asleep in the passenger seat on the way home.  But if you dropped last night, and it is 3 am, and you are staring at the clock going "omgomgomgomgomg I have to get up in the morning, why can't I SLEEP!  I think I'm stuck like this it isn't going to stop this time"....... then again, I can't really help with that.  You could try a nice warm blanket and some hot chocolate... maybe a boring western on the TV?

Is it possible to sleep after drinking coffee?

Yes, I never had trouble sleeping after drinking coffee. Everyone is different. It may be possible for you. Only you know how it effects your sleeping. It is mostly about out mind set. If you allow it to affect you, or not. We tell out bodies how to handle our lives, by what we tell ourselves. I can react or move beyond in the power of the universe replacing the fears which cause our illness. Being pro-active is the best. Do what you want and let the pieces come together.

I got drunk last night and peed the bed?

Normal? Well it happens if you drink yourself into oblivion. Normal people don't do that, though. I think if, as an adult, you start wetting yourself you should seriously think about your drinking. Maybe I sound harsh, sorry. When I did that it kinda told me I had a problem.

How could I make a drunk person sleep?

I feel like you’re asking this question because you’ve had to deal with some stupid drunk at a party or some situation where it was better for the drunk to sleep versus make further chaos with stupid actions or attitudes.First, this sucks and we’ve all had to do it - I’ve tried ignoring them, I’ve tried feeding them, and short of killing them the only thing I’ve found that works is out drinking them. Now most of my social events are with people around 25 and up so it’s a group who can handle booze - but when someone is being a terrible nuisance sometimes it’s for the good of the team to take it on the chin and handle the drunk. The worst thing is drunk guys who get drunk and want to fight - these guys or gals you shouldn’t drink under the table but in the most friendly way possible help them to leave. Angry drunks don’t need more booze but the the drunk that is just telling the same story over and over again or Dj’ing their favorite tracks on repeat are easier to deal with.Good luck.

Is being 'blackout' drunk a good excuse to cheat or hit on someone other than your girlfriend?

So my boyfriend and I went to a New Year's Eve party at his cousin's place. It was just a few friends and we're all very close. He has a nice cabin out in the woods so we thought it would be perfect to ring in the New Year there.

We all got to drinking and my boyfriend had been drinking since the late afternoon (2pm) and I started drinking at 8pm. We were all having fun and then around 10:45 my boyfriend got a little too drunk. He started puking and I had to stay in the washroom with him for a while. I remember it being 11:40pm before we came out. I got him to brush his teeth and gave him a peppermint gum to get rid of the smell.

12am came around and I kissed him. He was still pretty drunk but so was I. I got immediately turned on and we went upstairs to the guest bedroom to fool around. Things got hot and heavy but he couldn't get it up. I was drunk and aggrevated with trying, so I got up and left the room. Apparently when I left, my friend walked in without realizing he was in there and he apparently asked her to "give him a bj". She immediately came out and told me and I freaked! Of course she didn't do it (I know cause I had only left the room for like 2 minutes, then turned around and went back up). I got pissed at him and he said that no way did that happen. Eventually I forgave him. Then next day I mentioned how he puked for so long and he said "no I didn't", and I had to him that he did, but he says he doesn't remember at all. I don't even think he remembers most of the night! He never mentioned our fight so I don't think he remembers. Should I bring it up to him? He remembers everything after like 1:30am. He doesn't even like the girl he supposedly asked to give him a BJ, he's always hated her, so it doesn't make sense. And usually when we fight he'll bring it up the next day and try and work things out. What should I do?

Why do I fall asleep after I eat and how can I prevent that?

Every time I eat, I almost HAVE to sleep about an hour later. Is there something I can do to avoid that happening? Like, eating or drinking something specific to maintain a steady blood sugar ratio? Or types of foods that specifically cause it and should be avoided (although obviously I cant always do that!).
