If you try to log in many times with wrong password you will have to wait 1 min before you can try again. :)
How to protect my IP (skype)?
Basically the only way round it is to use server based real time audio/video links. Any peer to peer link will allow the person you are currently connected to with applications such as Skype to find the effective IP you are using, whether that is your own address or the address of a proxy. Individuals do not normally get hit with a DDoS attack. It takes too many computers around the world all sending information to you at the same time for DDoS to work. Controlling so many computers is beyond the scope of most individuals as they have to infect those computers with malware that can be remotely instructed to attack an individual address (yours). DDoS attacks are nearly always aimed at large organisations. Providing you simply do not respond to an attack, the attacker using a plain DoS (not DDoS) attack from their own computer will not know whether their attack had any effect. Also, unless they have an ISP connection that is significantly faster than yours, a DoS attack will hurt the attacker more than it will hurt you. The important speeds for a DoS attack is that their uplink speed is faster than your downlink speed. I hope this helps.

HOW DO I TURN OFF CAPS LOCK??
Look at your keyboard and to the LEFT side there will be a key with CAPS LOCK on it press this key once and your capitol letters will become lower case press again and they will be capitols so that is how you control the capitol or lower case letters. There is also the SHIFT key if you want to have the letters toggled but not locked also it gives you the option to use the double use keys for there respective uses
