How To Lose Weight Or At Least Not Be Lazy

How to lose weight and be lazy

I spent September through about March just sitting at home, mostly on the sofa, eating what I wanted when I wanted and lost about 25 pounds. I also breast feed my now ten month old daughter which is said to burn about 500 calories a day. It also helps that I eat whole real foods. I avoid enriched (white) flour, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors and colors and anything that looks suspicious. I also (obviously) avoid animals and animal products. I still nurse my daughter about five times a day. Perhaps I'll gain some weight when she is weaned which would be okay, since I could stand to gain five pounds. Then my clothes could fit again.

The worst thing I do is to not exercise. I miss yoga and walking, both of which are good for physical, emotional and Spiritual exercise. Eh. At least I'm not sitting around eating pure junk all day and not walking. (I know people who do that and then complain of their health problems. Hm. Go figure.)

I want to lose weight but I'm too lazy!?

Everyone who starts exercising starts somewhere. Most people read something on the internet about big heavy weights and they look at the model posing with his muscles out and decide thats how they want to be, so they try it and stop because its too hard. I was the same as that. I heard heavy weights and alot of running would make me fit and healthy in 8 weeks. Its a load of rubbish. You'll find an advert on the page selling some protein shake or to sign up for the newsletter that comes with it, whatever. Its a con. Even the muscle model started somewhere and here's where you should start and listen up, this is important:

You may not realise but to stop being lazy, you need to move. Ok, when you move around, fat burns and turns into energy. When it turns into energy, you have the energy to move. Thats a very important circle you need to remember. You're lazy because you dont move.

You have to start very slow to prevent injuries to your body, so go for a walk down the road and back. If you've got a bike, get on it and ride a mile in one direction, turn round and come back. When you get off your bike you'll notice you're full of energy. Its then, you keep moving, dont do exercising as such, but do activities like clean your room, mop the floor, clean the doors, hoover the carpet, wash the dishes, clean the car, mow the lawn. Just keep moving brother!! In an instant you're not lazy anymore, and the more you do, the more energy you'll have, and its then you can think of bigger and better things to do like go for a run, ask your mates for a kick about with the football in the park, go for bigger bike rides, and before you know it, you'll be an active young man, looking dapper in his school clothes. Good luck.

The Lazy Guide To Weight Loss1. Drink WaterLots of it! It’s not only good for you in flushing out toxins and keeping your organs operating optimally – which further aids in shedding pounds – but water also fills you up so you eat less.2. Sleep MoreIf you’re sleeping, you’re not eating, and more sleep means the less energy your body needs from caloric foods. Aim for 8 to 9 hours a night, or at the very least, 1 to 2 more hours than you’re used to getting.3. Eat BreakfastFruit, whole grains, or even a to-go bar. Giving your body energy in the morning kick starts your metabolism to help burn calories for you and keep your hunger pangs in check.4. Walk 30 Minutes A DayListen to music, ponder your life’s purpose, or call your mom. Just stay active for 30 minutes a day and you’ll start to see the effects.5. Eat As Much As You Want!Of carrots, apples, oranges, edamame, or any fruit or veggie that satisfies your need to nosh. These are filling foods that are good for you, and after a few days, your body will crave those instead of that bag of greasy potato chips.6. Keep Coffee And Sweets, But Have Them EarlyIf you’re craving that piece of cake or a cup of coffee, don’t deprive yourself. Just have them early in the day, not right before bed. The sugar and caffeine will inhibit a good night’s sleep, which can lead to overeating the next day.7. Forgive YourselfDon’t beat yourself up for missing a workout or feeling tight in your jeans. Negative thoughts contribute to depression, which can contribute to weight gain and overeating.8. Snack MORE!Eating smaller bites throughout the day will keep your blood sugar from spiking and keep you from overeating if let yourself go hungry for too long.9. Keep Calories In FoodDon’t drink them. You’ll feel fuller if you have food over a soda. If water doesn’t do the trick, add lemon or lime juice, or a bit of orange zest for a kick. If you’re ordering an iced tea, keep it unsweetened if you can.10. Cut Out AlcoholDespite the calories on the label, the way your body processes alcohol is not as straightforward. Alcohol lowers your metabolism, suppresses fat-burning testosterone, and converts to insulin, keeping the pounds packed on. Essentially, it fuels your body’s desire for fat storage. Give it a rest until you meet your goal, and then introduce alcohol back into your life gradually. If you want to lose weight, slow the aging process, reclaim your health, achieve your ideal body and live longer, then AVOID These 5 Steps

What is an easy way to lose weight if you're lazy?

Eat simple foods very slowly, you'll get more out of less. Have multiple smaller meals/snacks and space the time in between according to hungry. You'll be less hungry if you ate the previous food(s) slowly and thoroughly. If you don't want to bother with cooking, have a large apple for breakfast. If you are still hungry, add a banana or orange.Skip lunch and drink some water. If you are hungry, go buy a fast food bean burrito or warm one up where you are at. Later, when you get hungry at home, make a big batch of popcorn, then think about what you'd like for dinner that is easy if you're still hungry after eating the popcorn. Make a simple vegetable sandwich with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, very thin spread of mayo - the least amount possible not slathered on. Go to bed a little hungry, you can lose weight in your sleep. The next morning, you may be hungrier, but try the fruit first and wait until you are hungry again. If you don't move around much, you can get by with less food. But, if you are real active, you will need to get more substantial meals to help you have energy.Try a baked potato with some mustard or salsa, some whole wheat spaghetti with sauce and no cheese or hamburger. These are fat free options that help fill you up with food that provides quick energy that your body can easily burn if you are more physically active.Fruits and vegetables can be eaten like they are. You don't have to cut them up pretty. Try eating a bell pepper as it is or just break off a piece of cauliflower off the main bunch, or eat a whole carrot or stalk of celery.Have smaller plates to eat your food off of, so you trick your mind into thinking you are eating more. Drink water before a meal to help fill you up before starting to eat. Wait 20 minutes after each plate to see if you are full before starting another plate.

How do I lose weight if I'm lazy and don't want to work?

Hey Michael,Don’t sweat it, we ALL feel lazy at times, ha ha!You know what - not everyone enjoys exercise, and the thought of getting up to exercise just makes them feel ill!Yes, you can lose weight through diet alone, although it’s not the most sustainable way to do it, and it can take longer to lose weight with diet alone.Question is …. How much weight are we talking about?A little, just to tone up?A fair bit to get rid of a possible beer belly?A serious amount from years of making bad food choices?Another question … What is your dietary nutrition like?Fairly good, with a few unhealthy treats here and there? Not so good, Regular fast food meals, sweet treats?Totally awful, Fried foods, takeaways, fast-foods, chocolates, beer?Depending on the above, and the fact that exercise is not on the current horizon, I would suggest as follows:Adjust your diet …Reduce / Cut-out white carbs such as sweets, chocolates & cakes etcReduce / Cut-out beige carbs such as ‘white’ bread, pasta, rice & potatoesIncrease Protein intake from Chicken, Fish, Eggs, low-fat dairy etcIncrease Water intakeIncrease Fresh fruit / VegReduce / Cut-out Alcoholic drinks (high in sugar!)Reduce / Cut-out Fizzy drinks (Coke, Lemonade etc)If the thought of trying to take on all these changes at once smacks you in the face, then just choose 1 unhealthy choice per week and swap it out with a healthy choice - Repeat each week.As you progress, you’ll find the less you have something, the less you’ll need it! I swear :-)The recommended safe rate of weight loss is around 1–2 pounds per week, with 1 pound being equal to 3,500 calories per week (500 calories per day reduction) or 2 pounds per week being equal to 7,000 calories per week (1,000 calories per day reduction)Depending on the overal amount you wish to lose, you can work out roughly how long it would take to lose that bodyweight by diet alone.Think about doing a little exercise though, because the benefits alone should want to make you reach for you trainers!Good Luck, Michael :-)

Good way to lose weight for a lazy teen?

Here are a few tips;

WHEN to eat for losing weight...

• Eat (at least) three times a day.
Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That's the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight... you must eat (the right things, of course)
• Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
• Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.
OK, one apple after 18:00
• Don't starve
Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.
Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.
• Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast--eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.

WHAT to drink for losing weight...

• Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the "hunger" sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don't believe the slogan "water makes me fat". Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.
• Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed!
Don't drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.

Exercise for losing weight...

• If you want quicker results - exercise would be good.
• Don't just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts...
I guarantee THIS won't work for your weight loss...
• Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don't be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants!
• Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don't regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated.
• Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don't shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too?
• Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat.

Good luck!
Hope this helps~

What's an easy way to lose weight with exercise? I'm super lazy, weighs 270 lbs, and wants to lose at least 120 lbs. What I can do? I'm trying a keto diet right now.

Btw, exercise is a crappy and inefficient way to lose weight. I’m not saying it’s not beneficial, it’s just not the best way, especially in isolation. You have to realize that food got you to your weight, and unless you change your eating behaviors it won’t fluctuate too much. Start by cutting out sugars and processed foods, especially refined grains and carbohydrates. Eat single ingredient foods. Start slowly reducing your carb amounts per day. Start at 50 grams per day for 1 week, then reduce 5–10 grams a day/week till you get to 20 grams per day. Your carbs must come from non-starchy vegetable. Eat moderate protein, your body turns excess protein into fat. (Simple versions). Make sure you are getting good healthy fats. Here is the big key. Eat only to satiation. When you are full STOP EATING. Now go to YouTube. And start researching intermittent fasting. Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Berg, Megan Ramos, Dr. Ken Berry, ketogenic diet, 2 Keto Dudes, Jimmy Moore, Dr. Mercola, etc. I read the book The Obesity Code, by Dr. Jason found on July 26 and since then I have lost 65 pounds. I have two knees that need to be replaced so I can’t do much working out. It can be done.

Best way to lose weight if you're lazy and unmotivated?

I am the same way and I've finally started to change a few things and have seen real results, and it's only been two weeks. I feel like a month from now I'll be at the weight I want to be--where I don't feel weighted or uncomfortable, and my pants fit normally again. College has not been good for my waistline....

anyways.
What I have done is drink water constantly (especially when I eat a lot of carbs, it helps with digestion). Plus, I drink a glass of green tea once a day if I remember. Another change I've made it to FORCE myself to eat carrots or some vegetable when I want to go out an eat chips or cupcakes (LOL). I let myself use reduced fat ranch dressing with the vegetables, otherwise I would never eat them. I also will have an apple with a little peanut butter if I have one around. I still eat dessert, but only once a day instead of whenever I want. Plus, I started eating raw nuts-- almonds and walnuts--not too much, but they are filling and delicious. Other than changing up a few snacks I have been trying to eat normal portions and not binge (bc that was my problem), but let myself have what I want, just be reasonable and try to find the healthiest recipe. Always get your fruits and vegetables in each day!

So, most of this is probably stuff you've already heard/done, but really try to apply it to yourself. Maybe just one thing and a time, but they are helpful. If you can do 20-40 mins a day of cardio it will really help. Help yourself ! get rid of that muffin top ! it doesn't deserve to make you have to buy new pants, beat it !! (:

edit: nice name!
