How To Make A Ratchet Clothing Jumper

How do you wear an off the shoulder shirt without showing your bra straps?

Every time I wanted to step out in an off the shoulder top or an expensive bare-shoulder dress, I used to be pretty keen on covering up the bra straps that otherwise make a show. I either hide it by pinning up under my dress or buckle them up together at the back. But, all of these were mostly irritating me and I ended up running back home to take the bra off. Sometimes, my inability to hide the straps even left me with rashes in the skin.Though I got a few suggestions from my friend on how she uses a strapless bra, I wasn’t able to find a proper place to buy one. And moreover, I had a notion that these fancy bras were a celebrity thing and cannot serve the common woman’s purpose. But, I was wrong. Last month I did order a strapless tube bra from an online lingerie store, Shyaway and was completely flattered by it. I even blamed myself for not getting it much earlier. It had no hooks as in that of a normal bra and it was pretty elasticized to support the busts. My favorite red off the shoulder top had never looked that pretty.

Is it possible to live in the United Kingdom without a heating system?

Yes. I have an immersion heater for hot water but no house heating although the computer equipment probably raises the temperature a few degrees. I find that there’s usually only a couple of weeks per year when it gets uncomfortable. Winters these days are milder than when I was a kid and this winter has been particularly mild. Global warming seems quite nice here ;-) Usually it is cold enough for snow to lie on the ground for a while but this year it didn’t happen. In 30+ years the water pipes have only frozen once, for about two days.I work in an office 3–4 days per week so it isn’t as bad as for someone who is at home all day.I think that people with house heating get too used to it and their idea of normal temperature ratchets up over time. I find 20°C in a building uncomfortably hot but there are people that think of 27°C as normal. Spending that much on heating seems obscene. Right now it is night and the windows are open to get some airflow and the temperature is comfortable. The weather forecast says it is 9°C.It all depends what you are used to. I grew up in north east Scotland, which is normally a couple of degrees colder than where I live now. I have a memory of taking the train from Aberdeen to Inverness for the Christmas holidays. My friends and I were in shirtsleeves but there was a poor guy who’d just flown in from Africa sitting in the corner, shivering while wrapped up in multiple layers of jumpers, anorak and gloves. It is quite funny when there is condensation on the window and it is on the outside.

What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

First date outfit help?

Okay, so ive been talking to this guy and this weekend he's asked me to go out with him. We decided to go into the town centre, which is absolutely huge, and just have a day looking around shops and things like that. I have no idea what to wear though?! He dresses nice all of the time, he wears clothes like ratchet and similar clothes. I'm not sure what to wear, could you help me?

What should I look for in a good roadside emergency kit?

Honestly, most pre-made kits are terrible. They tend to have low quality components that don't work well or fail after very few uses. It will probably cost more, but you are better off just making your own "kit". I have had the same one in every car I have owned, I keep it all in a milk crate. It contains the following:A pair of 20 foot long, 500 amp, 6 gauge jumper cables which are far better quality than the old lamp wires with paperclips provided in pre-made kits. If you don't live in a cold weather climate you can go shorter, say 12 feet.A four-way lug-nut wrench which comes in handy because the one included with most cars is useless for more stubborn lug-nuts.A four screw driver set of both Straight and Phillips heads, each one in both a short and long handle. DO NOT bother with one of those with the replaceable bits, often the shaft is too wide to get in hard to reach places.A basic wrench and ratchet setA basic outdoor first aid kit which includes a Mylar emergency blanket, it shouldn't be any bigger than a pencil box because you will have to replace it yearly due to the extreme hot and cold temps it will get exposed to in your car.Fluids: 1 bottle each of: power steering fluid, 50/50 mix radiator fluid,  motor oil, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid.A set of common fuses, and a flasher for the car model I am currently drivingOne replacement bulb for each unique exterior light (headlight, tail light, blinker, break)A paper atlas for my home region4 road flares...I mean ACTUAL flares, not those stupid cones no one can seeA rain parka, the kind that folds up into a little pouch the size of a mint tinOne mini flash light (two AA), and a full-size mag-light. I would also keep my AAA card in my glove box with a tire pressure gauge. Yes, you need AAA; just suck it up and pay them. I also try to keep the habit of bringing a fresh bottle of water with me (filled from the tap of course) every time I use the car so I always have water in my car.p.s. I also keep a rearview mirror reattachment kit in my glove box...I have the bad habit of knocking it off and it really isn't a safe thing to have happen. But this is probably just me.
