How to clean a cap and make it smell good?
Hey nearly every day i have this practice thing i have to go to and the coach always tells us to wear a hat. i wear a baseball cap and its the only one i have i do that but lately i think my hats starting to smell and i want to wash it. is there any way to wash my hat and make it smell not sweaty?

I throw mine in the wash... but you gotta grab it before the spin cycle ! leave the lid open so it won't cycle to that point...... then i rinse it in the sink, drip dry for a half hour, then i stuff a towel in it to form the shape.... cold water, gentle cycle and a mild detergent is a good idea because the colors fade..... and i've seen those hat forms, i think you can use it in the dishwasher too... between washes i'll spray lysol air freshner/disinfectant in it....

How can i get a smokey smell out of my hat?
Ok, so i had a little camp fire last night and now everything i wore smells like smoke. i am able to wash my shirt and pants but dont know quite what to do about my hat since you aren't really supossed to get it wet. what can i try to completely get rid of the smell?

Lightly spray the hat with undiluted white vinegar. Pour the vinegar into a clean spritzer bottle and use this. Or just dab the vinegar onto the hat with paper towels. Be careful not to over-saturate the hat. The vinegar will stink, but the smell dissipates. Vinegar removes the smell of smoke, so it should work on you hat that has a "mystery smoke smell". How do you make your flat brimmed hats smell better?
so... i own flat brimmed hats and the smell of my head is gradually adding up. now the interior has a weird odor :[ this is what one of my hats are: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&... puma monolines. i don't want to wash my hats yet. i was gonna do that in the summer. (yea, i don't know how to yet ^^ but i youtubed it) is there any methods to get rid of the smell coming up? I prefer your answer to be personal, as in you have done it before. thanks in advance
Why does my hair smell so bad when I wear a hat...?
Weird question, but whenever I wear a hat, it makes my hair smell, even when I`ve just washed my hair. I washed that hat as well but it still smelt! Why does it smell and how can I stop it. Please no innapropriate/stupid/rude answers and no "just don`t wear a hat" answers! Thanks!!!
