My yahoo mail is sending emails itself, how can i stop this?

1. Change your password!!!!!! While at it, also update your security questions and make your secondary email contact other than Yahoo/Hotmail-> use Google's gmail. When you change your password, Yahoo/Hotmail re-encrypts your session cookie based off that new password. Since the hackers still have your old cookie and with your password not changed, they still can send out emails without you knowing.

2. Do not click on emails that you do not know or go to websites that have these scripts that will steal your current cookies to access your accounts. How do you know if they have these scripts? You don't. That's why you don't open them. If you do click on them, you will need to change your password again.

3. Do a virus scan just in case but most likely they will NOT show up since it is NOT a worm/virus for your case. But, do a scan just in case to eliminate that possibility.

4. You can try to contact Yahoo/Hotmail, but like many have said, they won't do anything.

5. Always log out of your email when finished and never click on "Keep me logged in" check box to clear out the cookie

6. Make it a habit to CLEAN out your web browser cookies, since ANY site can have these security exploits without you knowing!!!!!

7. Export your contact list as a backup since some hackers are getting bolder and will delete all of them.

I did all these steps above and the emails have stop going out.

To Yahoo/Hotmail engineers/staff reading this: You should consider encrypting the current IP address within the cookie to ensure that whoever is using it, IS AT the current IP address and if not have the person re-log in with their ID and password to gain access.

Should I turn off my computer if it's stuck on the loading screen "getting Windows ready don't turn off your computer"?

The old adage “if it’s not working, restart the computer” apparently applies to Windows even when it tells you specifically NOT to turn it off.I got this screen when just trying to reboot my computer (windows 10) and even though the disk light was blinking as though it was up to something, I eventually powered down the machine. It booted back up without issue as though nothing had gone wrong… As others have stated, Windows is pretty resilient these days.In a worst-case scenario if you take this action while it’s actually installing an update, you could run into trouble. Most likely, all you’ll have to do is roll back the update. The chances of causing catastrophic damage are pretty slim.As others have also stated: if it’s really stuck then you don’t have much of a choice. Unless you have a really slow, old computer, it’s hard to imagine being legitimately stuck on this screen for more than about 40 minutes. I couldn’t even wait 15.

I can't get past my pc login screen?

A few days ago I booted up my hp laptop and the login screen was frozen. I kept clicking anywhere on the screen, but it was unresponsive for a good while (maybe around an hour). However, I was able to log in and my laptop was working normally. Yesterday I used my laptop and I realized that whenever I tried to save a picture off the internet or move files, my laptop would just close the internet browser and the desktop would reload and close my files. So I thought restarting my laptop would fix the problem, but then the login screen became unresponsive again. Now today, I tried restarting my laptop multiple times, and sometimes it would turn on but stay on a black screen for about 5 to 10 minutes, and the login screen would be unresponsive again. Sometimes I am able to click around but then it just goes back to being unresponsive. Yesterday, I tried logging in with my password (both typed and picture), and even if I got the password correct it wouldn't log me into the laptop but stay on the login screen. It didnt say my password was wrong, it would just stop loading and stay on the login screen.

Any help is appreciated, I think my laptop is just old and I want to login to back up my personal memories.

Why does Microsoft Security Essentials keep uninstalling itself from my computer?

It sure sounds like malware. Boot in safe mode with networking. Run these two to do a full scan:

After cleaning your computer, consider using a better antivirus like Avast. It has a higher detection rate than most of the free AVs and has the fastest scan engine.

Why does my computer monitor keep shutting off for seemingly no reason?

If you keep getting a ‘No signal detected’ message, my guess is your monitor is not getting a signal, so there is nothing for it to show. The usual cause is a computer error or a loose monitor cable. Check the cable connection, see if the screen reactivates and your data is still there. If it’s the computer screwing up, you’ll need to reboot the computer os whatever else is called for for it to stop doing that.If the computer is working fine and nothing’s wrong when you get the monitor working again, and there is nothing wrong with the monitor cable connections, then the next culprit would be the monitor cable itself. Or the adapter, if you’re using one. It’s rare, but cables and/or adapters do occasionally fail, and this is the least-expensive possible fix.The next possibilities are the video card or the monitor itself. This can get pricey, and if you’re asking this question, you probably shouldn’t try to do this yourself. Time to call a tech or take it in for service.

I can't log in to Tumblr?

So a couple days ago, I went to Tumblr, and none of the links would work, I couldn't like or reblog anything. I refreshed the page a few times to see if it would fix itself, and when it didn't, I tried logging out and logging back in. But for some reason, whenever I go to the log in page, the background loads over the login so I can't type anything. I don't know what's wrong?
