How To Make Your Thick Hair Thinner

Is there any way to make hair thinner?

I have extremely thick hair also (my stylist says there is enough hair on my head for 3 people!). About every other time I get my hair trimmed she thins it. Exactly how she does it I don't know. So go to a salon and ask around, someone will be able to help you.
But you need to make sure that your hair is really that thick. If you get someone that doesn't know what they are doing then they could thin your hair out too much. And trust me, you would rather have hair that is too thick rather than hair that is too thin.

Thick hair to Thin hair ?

john frieda devolumizer makes your hair really flat.

you cannot make your hair less thin or thick cuz guess what? its the hair you were born with.

i think you can go to your hairstylist and have them use a tool to "thin" it out, but it'll grow back. maybe try doing something that plays up your thick hair.

do a long genie ponytail, put your hair in braids and take it out, scrunch gel in it and have volumized waves.

Q: How can you make your thick hair thinner?

OMG....your kidding me right?!! I have the same kind of hair as you...........there really thick/thin and there're black and to top it off there're meduim.
I'm dealing with the same promblem as you so i know how you feel. Here's the stuff i use to make that promblem go away:

-I straighten my hair. It really helps when your hair are straight. It looks good too!

-Get layers. Go to your local hair salon and get some bangs or layers. It looks really good. If for whatever reason you can't go to the hair salon then with your praents perrrismissin...why not cut them youself?

-Use baby oil in your hair. I know that when you hear those words you might be saying "ewwwww" or "gross...greasy hair!". But really it doesn't do any harm. The only think you have to be careful of is not putting on too much becasue it'll look really really greasy and too shiney....and since you have blaxk hair it'll show clearly.

-Buy a shamppoo that is specifly made to slove that promblem. Sometime it helps when you rub it around your scalp. .......altleast that's what i've heard!!

-If your going to the salon then ask them to get your hair thinned out. It'll help!!

-Sometimes thin hair looks really good when it's straight. So why not ask the salon lady if you can get your hair chemicaly straighten. That way you won't have to straighten it all the time and it'll look way better too!

-mabey someone here has the answer your looking for.

-ask a frind/nighbour/sibling etc.

The best thing to do is probley to get alot of layers with some side bangs. It'll look really good and you'll actally want thick hair!

What should I do to make my hair thick? I have thin hair by birth?

Hair and scalp health are determined by 3 factors; Genetics, environment and lifestyle. Those are not in order of precedence as it's been said, "Genetics load the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger." So starting with overall healthy lifestyle is key. Eat plenty of fibrous veggies, quality protein(both local when possible) and keep the junk food in moderation. Be active and outside as much as possible. Overall hygiene is important as a clean scalp is best for growing hair. Look for a sulfate free, plant based shampoo. (L'occitane, Phyto, and Bumble & Bumble are great) Wash your hair everyday and especially after working up a sweat as DHT build up on your scalp will promote hair loss. The idea that you shouldn't wash your hair every day comes from using low quality products.Once you have the basics covered then you can look at things that will build off of them. Massaging your scalp or using a quality brush helps get blood their which will feed the follicles allowing them to grow healthier hair faster (think of a farmer watering his crops) 5-10 mins every other day should do it. Reducing stress is important. you've probably heard of cortisol (the stress hormone) as it's been buzzing around social media for a while. If you feel stress is out of control it will tax the systems of your body in many ways and hair loss is a common result. Look to activities that you enjoy and help you feel peaceful.Building off of that you can look at treatments and vitamins designed to help. Hair growth supplement - Hair XT 100  has shown to be very successful in helping people grow thicker healthier hair and combating hair loss. Its an all natural blend of vitamins, minerals and herb designed to nourish your scalp have the healthiest follicles (Back to the farmer analogy. Think watering fertile topsoil instead of a more sandy landscape) There are drugs out there that will help, but remember that they are foreign to the inner working of your body and if you are going to use them, they should be used as a short term band aid in conjunction with the above mentioned protocol to start the hair growing process at its roots (pun intended.) Hope this helps!

I used to have thick hair, now its thin?

You should dbe careful not to use relaxer which contains lye. It's really damaging to the hair. Also use volumising conditioners and shampoos, and don't wash everyday, if you don't need it.
Also make sure that your blow-dryer gives out good heat, which really contributes to healthy, voluminous hair, and use natural products like olive oil or hemp.
The, drink LOTS OF WATER, and oil the hair regularly.
With this, you should be good.

Can someone with thin hair gain thick hair?

Use essential oils to thicken your hair. Chamomile, lavender, rosemary, thyme, geranium, cedarwood, almond oil, coconut oil, Indian gooseberry oil and many and many more, help thicken hair follicles.Apply 10 to 20 drops of your chosen oil to your scalp, and massage the oil in with your fingers. Use you fingers to rub the oil down to the tips of your hair. You could also mix 3 to 5 drops of essential oil into your shampoo or conditioner when washing your hair.Deep condition your hair by adding five to 10 drops of essential oil to 3 to 4 ounces of castor oil, olive oil, jojoba oil or sunflower oil. Apply the oil to your hair, taking care to cover each strand. Wrap your hair in a towel and let the oil sit for 30 minutes, then shampoo and condition as normal. Also would recomend use cuts like http://hairstylezz.com/best-long-short-angled-bob.../ that magically add volume to thin hair .

Why is my hair thin at the ends but thick at the roots?

Thanks for the A2A, I'll try my very best.Do you mean your hair as a whole or do the individual strands get thinner down the shaft?Everyday we lose a lot of hair but we also grow new strands everyday. Your hair can seem thicker and fuller at the top because of new hair growing that hasn't reached the length of the rest of your hair yet. The stands taper in at the bottom because as it begins to grow it comes out of the follicle finer and gets bigger as it grows, so the thin ends are hair that hasn't been cut and left to grow naturally.I hope that made sense and helped. I just woke up so maybe it still only makes sense in my head and not in words yet. Let me know if I can clarify a bit better for you when I wake up :)
