Excel: Write a formula that calculates each employees vacation time earned for the year.?

Those employees have been accruing vacation time at a rate of 1.54 hours per 40 hours worked each week, for a maximum of 80 hour per year. If the employee hasn't worked their full 40 hours that week, they earn a proportional fraction of their vacation pay. If they have worked overtime, they only earn the maximum of 1.54 hours for the week. Employees do not earn vacation time for vacation hours taken in the pay period.

A1= ID
B1= TITLE
C1= FIRST NAME
D1= LAST NAME
E1= HOURS WORKED TO DATE
F1= HOURS WORKED THIS PAY PERIOD
G1= HOURS TOTAL HOURS WORKED (The formula for this is =Sum(E2:F2)

Yes, I can help you with that. An organisation used to have tie up with specific banks that their employees will have an account in your bank as well as company's account as well. So, when a new employee joins, after 3 months or so, he asked to get a salaried account in those banks and representatives used to come to the organisation for registering these employees. After that, once the account activated, the employee submit a cancelled cheque to the Finance Dept.. to authorise the dept. to transfer his salary directly in his bank account. After that, the finance dept. maintain the separate list of the employees with their account numbers, employee id, on basis of bank.In the end of every month, when HR dept. transfer the calculated salary for each employee, the finance dept. prepare the list of all the employees alongwith account number and the amount of salary need to be credited. And, submit the same to the bank authorities. After that, the bank just debit and credit all the relevant accounts with the amount and all the holders get informed about the credit of the salary. Now, what's the necessity?# It reduces the paper work, time, efforts of all the parties. # And, minimize the process of salary transfer as well. Hope this helps. Thank you!

Hello there,This you can’t do in one go though you can do one by one which is time consuming. But this is possible if you use Banks’ services.….. there is already software avaialble in almost all the Banks for effecting transfers to various accounts from single account. For this you need to give the account number which is to be debited with authorisation along with the list of accounts numbers, names to which the money transfer is expected to be done in soft copy in Excel format. That’s it, the job is done by Batch postings by running a small programme which is already avaialable. We used to do it for one corporate hospital in Kolkata. This works when all the employees when they have accounts in the same bank/branch where the remitter has account. If it is various banks also it is possible to effect through NEFT…but in this case whether “batch postings” in one go are possible or not I am not sure…you may get in touch with the nearest bank. Logically it should happen when you add one more excel column for IFSC Number for Bank. Hope this clarifies.

Create various bar charts, pie charts,... Sort data by header rows using three sort criteria. Name cells and reference them on a different sheet. Protect a sheet. Lock data. Text to columns.

An advanced level may need to be able to create and use pivot tables, complex formulas and functions, linking multiple sheets or pull data from webpages.
Create a pivot table and graph displaying some data using page, row and column fields. Create a formula to grab the 3rd digit of a 10 digit number and depending on the result, change the information in another cell. Create a macro. Modify visual basic. Pull data from a server and perform functions on it.

I've worked in payroll several years. It's just easier for me to figure the starting time in the morning up until noon, then figure from noon till signout and add them together. Ex.. 7:15 - 12 noon is 4.75 hrs. Noon till 3:45 is 3.75 hrs. Add together for 8.5 hours. If lunch is unpaid and an hour long, then the time would be 7.5 hours worked. I know this adds an extra step, but it's easier for me. And you are right, time is generally rounded to the nearest 1/4 hour (15 minutes) and in decimal, would be .25, .50, and .75 (1/4 hr, 1/2 hr, 3/4 hr). Hope this helps.
