My IDM does not show a download panel for any videos (both in web players and YouTube), but it automatically starts to advertise downloads out of nowhere. Is there any way to solve it?
You can follow these steps:Un-install Internet download Manager.Un-install the chrome or Firefox or any browser you have.Then Go to C> Program Files ..drive or installation directory where you IDM system files are kept previously.Delete the folder Internet Download Manager.Now, Restart you system.Reinstall all the above software one by one ( I meant first the web browsers then IDM).First don’t switch to any account on the Chrome.Now, Download any file.Second Now you can switch to any account.If problem occurs then open the http://chrome://settings/ then you can scroll down and click on “Show advance settings” then scroll down and click on reset setting.If problem still occurs then open IDM options and “ Check out all the boxes whose subheading says “ Capture Download from the following browsers” then click OK.If problem still occurs then you have to download new IDM . ( You can download it from torrents ).
How do I stop Chrome from downloading a file in an Android?
In my case the suggested processes didn't work. My redmi note 4 is running on Android M. Neither of the chrome browser or download manager seems to support management of ongoing downloads. The clear cache wala funda doesn't work either.So I did something unconventional and that worked, surprisingly.Go to “Explorer” app. Then go to storage. Choose internal storage. Open “downloads”. Find the name of the file of which the download is taking place. It would just show the amount of data downloaded till then. Select it and delete. As simple as that.The notification bar will show “download unsuccessful”. Bingo, u're done.
