How To Reduce Acne Redness

How to reduce redness of acne?

So yesterday everything was fine, my skin was perfectly clear except maybe like one pimple on my hair line, but i don't mind that it wasn't big at all. So i did my usual face washing routine, and went to bed. I woke up this morning with like 4 pimples on each cheek, and im freaking out. I have a wedding to attend to today, and i am a bridesmaid. The pimples are like extremely redddd! I look like a pizza, and i don't wanna show up at the wedding with a red red face.

So is there anything i can do to reduce the redness bye a big amount at least bye like 5:00 PM? Right now its 2:30PM, and i need to reduce the redness fast. I cant put on tons of make up to cover the redness, because that irritates the acne more and more, and i end up washing the make up off, irritating the acne MORE!

Please, anything!

How to reduce acne redness?

Hey! I had really bad acne issues for a while, but, I kinda found something that nearly gets rid of the acne.

If you use Isopropyl Alcohol, which I use through a spray bottle by replacing the contents of a Neutregena body spray bottle with the Alcohol, it reduces a ton of reddness and kills ALL the bacterias. I use it once a day after I shower.

Before I go to bed I wash my face and place on Benzoyl Peroxide from Clean & Clear on it and then a moisturizer over that and it helps prevent acne big time.

I also take a Vitamin C Supplement which is incredibly good for you and your skin. Also drink a TON of water. I am a bodybuilder/heavy lifter and drink about 1.5 Gallons a day. I research this stuff constantly, the average person who drinks a entire GALLON a day will see so many benefits then the one who does not even if you don't do a lot of physical activities. Skin looks healthier and your body in better shape! (flushes out oxidants, metabolism is faster 'aka you lose more weight')

For the zits specifically, I would use the Isopropyl Alcohol and the directly after that put on the Benzoyl Peroxide. Also use soap and a scrubber when washing your face/body.

I hope this helps, the above regiment is how I have nearly gotten my acne to be gone (occasionally I get a little something), and it works extremely well. The Alcohol is strong, and I know someone will say its bad for you, but so is have the artificial crap we directly eat as food everyday. Just do it in moderation, I switch off between it every other day. You'll see a huge difference.

Additionally, DONT use any Salicylic Acid product on them, it tends to leave a dark red spot where the zit used to be even after the zit is gone.

How can I reduce redness and swelling in acne?

You can use many products in your own kitchen that are natural and safe to use. Some of them include eggs, honey, oatmeal, extra virgin oil, lemons, etc. But here is a really good (and inexpensive) remedy you may want to try:
Take a whisked egg white and rub it over your face. You can leave it on for 15 minutes or sleep with it on. I recommend sleeping with it because the results are so much better! In the morning do your normal clease, tone, and moisturize! The egg white tightens your skin and leaves your skin soft and smooth. This isn't going to happen overnight (would be great if it did!) but you will definitely see results if you are consistent! If you have acne scars/blemishes use 100% cocoa butter or Vitamin E oil to "fade" away the scars.
***Also, remember to:
*Drink plenty of water!
*Keep your hands out of your face!
*Cut back on sugary, greasy, and fatty foods as well as sodas!
*Leave your pimples alone! Do not pop, poke, or pinch them...it's better to leave them alone and let them go away on their own than to wake up with an acne scar/blemish.
*Cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face at least 2 times a day.
*Stay stress-free!
***HOPE THIS HELPS!***

Does ice really help reduce redness of acne?

Well yes and no. Ice can reduce redness for a few hours. Since the pimple is an infection you skin will heat up agian after a few hours because you body wants to fight the infection. Just like when you are sick and have a fever. this is the same thing on a smaller level. This will not cure the pimple.

Since your skin is natural you need natural products.

Things to do to help oily face, pimples, blackhead & the such....

1.) Don’t ever pick/pop them... If you must pop them wait till they have a head and use cotton balls. Popping causes the oil & bacteria to go to near by spots and cause more pimples
2.) Wash your face twice a day. Morning and before you get to bed.
3.) Do not over wash your face.
4.) Get a natural soap that contains Tea Tree EO. I get mine at:

http://www.itsyoursoap.com/index.php?mai...

Tea Tree EO kills all the nasty bacterias that causes pimples. A plus this soap doesn’t smell girly. Smells like peppermint and cools the skin.

5.) Also get an astringent. But use it only every other day because you do not want to send the oil producing pores into overdrive.

If you follow these things for a few weeks your skin will look great

Just remember this dry skin looks old and worn. You face needs a little oil to look youthful.

How to reduce redness around pimple?

There are a bunch of different answers to this question. My uncle ( who is a dermatologist ) said the following things could work:
* Mix honey and lemon and apply to area
* use cool water
* apply eye drops to area ( not to sure if this one works)
*or my way, use toothpaste to dry out area over night and then the nest morning use a pore unclogging scrub to completely eliminate it (Biore). Good Luck (try one at a time)
