How To Reduce Redness of Sunburn - FAST!?

Use cool compresses tonight. You can fill a large bowl with cool water and add a couple of tablespoon of white vinegar to it. Be careful to not get it in your eyes though. The cool water will help to sooth it and reduce any swelling and the vinegar will soothe it even more. Be sure to keep it moisturized so it doesn't dry up and peel. There is a product here in the States that is made by Panama Jack and its a gel with Aloe in it along with a numbing medicine called Lidocaine. The Aloe is great for burns, is a great moisturizer and the Lidocaine will numb it so you won't feel the pain. You will also need to take an anti-inflammatory medicine. Here we use Ibuprofen (the brand name is Advil) I don't know if it's available there but I am sure you have something similar if it's not. If you are using the cool compresses it could greatly reduce the redness by tomorrow. If so, just brush on a bit of bronzer on your nose, cheekbones and forehead to tone down the redness even more and to give you a nice glow. If the redness is still pretty noticeable, then do use a foundation but add some moisturizer to it before you apply it and lightly apply powder so your face doesn't dry out and look all flaky. I am all out of suggestions other than to tell you that if your face (or anywhere else) starts to swell or blister go to the emergency room or your doctor's office. You will need to have those treated by medication and medical care. Good luck sweetie and next time, use sunscreen.

Would a whitening cream reduce redness?

No, as the redness is caused by your blood flow to your face. Whitening creams are trying to bleach out melanin.

Will ibuprofen reduce the redness of a sunburn?

My toddler got sunburned today (one of those fluke sunny days and the last thing you think of is sunblock) and it was obviously hurting him, so I gave him some ibuprofen, and less than an hour later the redness was gone. So I was just curious.

Does Aloe Vera reduce redness in sunburn, or just make it stop burning?

I used to be a long distance runner, so I am always carrying two things: Sunblock/Sunscreen Lotion and Aloe Vera... one is before the sun (to protect from UV lights) and one is for after (to prevent sunburn).

Aloe Vera helps reduce the burning (instantly cools), but the redness might take a bit while. I just kept applying it day after day. The redness on the skin indicates the superficial of the skin layer is already damaged, so just hopefully it will shed off within a week.

The Sun is very harmful to our skin. Once exposed under the sun for a long period, my skin starts to peel off the next day. So I drink the Japanese Aloe Juice, because Aloe has a herbal effect that helps digestion and rebuild skin. I highly recommend it, doing it the natural way instead of investing money onto those expensive skincare products.

My face got so burnt! How can I reduce the redness by tomorrow?

Try filling a large bowl full of cold water and dip your face in as long as it can stand and keep doing that.
What this does is cool the layer of skin under your first layer and let out some of the heat thats making your skin red.

Depending on your skin, i dont suggest any kind of lotion, itll trap the heat in, BUT if you peel real bad then youll have to suffer through a lobster face, because you need to put hypoallergenic facial lotion on!

keep applying aloe vera, but not too much or youll break out.

and yes, it can make it fade. they have hair protectant you can apply before going in the sun that should help keep the color bright.
