My computer monitor screen is like super blown up and it's very hard to use how do I fix this?

It sounds like your computer is in what is called "safe mode." When you install a new software application or add drivers for some new hardware, sometimes the computer will start itself in safe mode. Safe mode is a special way for Windows to load when there is a system-critical problem that interferes with the normal operation of Windows. The purpose of safe mode is to allow you to troubleshoot Windows and try to determine what is causing it to not function correctly. Once you have corrected the problem, then you can reboot and Windows will load normally. You probably will not have to do anything too difficult to fix this. Just restart your computer and press f8 before windows comes up. Then, when you get to the black screen with a few options there, choose "normal mode" and it should be fixed.

Help!!!laptop screen stretched!!!?

i let my sister hold my laptop for like 20 minutes...and when she gave it back to me the computer screen was stretched! how do i put it back to normal? i have a compaq with windows vista

I accidentally dropped my Lenovo laptop...?

First let me explain a bit about hard drives. Hard drives are very sensitive devices which require ambient air pressure to maintain proper read/write head to platter clearance. The distance between the head and platter in a hard drive, if you were to magnify it, is equivalent to a Boeing 747 jumbo jet flying at maximum speed 6" from the ground, never varying it's height more than 1/4 inch, FOR THE ENTIRE LIFE OF THE PLANE. In fact hard drives have a little hole on them which says "DO NO BLOCK THIS HOLE". This is because they need air to work. As the platters spin they generate an air current from their movemet, and this air cushion generated is what keeps the read/write heads from crashing into the surface. This gap is measured in millionths of an inch, that's how close it is. When you turn your computer off, the motor which spins the platters turns into a generator, using the spinning momentum of the platters to power the read/write head back to it's PARK position (in days gone by, you used to have to do this MANUALLY, or you killed the drive as when it stopped spinning and the air pressure vanished, the head simply crashed into the platter, and when the drive spun up again it would wreck it). When a hard drive powers up, the read/write head doesn't even move from it's "landing zone" until the drive is up to full speed, as it needs the air cushion to operate without a "crash".

What does all this information mean to YOU tho, is what you want to know, right? Quite simple, really. The tolerance in the hard drive is so tight and the force keeping them apart (air pressure) is so delicate, when you DROP a hard drive, very little exists preventing the hard drive head from crashing into the platter, and that's just exactly what happened, and why it's trying to run disk repair to fix it. When this happens, you physically damage a portion of the platter, and probably the head too. The drive MUST be replaced. The drive may indeed still function, but the fact remains the head crashed into the platter, and caused physical damage to the drive.

When you replace it, I recommed going to an SSD (Solid State Drive). These drives have no moving parts, and thus can tolerate damage from dropping about 1,000,000 times greater than a standard hard drive, and I'm not exagerating.

How do you completely factory reset a laptop?

If you want to reset the BIOS, there is a reset Bios to Factory Default/Reset in the settings. You have to shutdown your computer completely. Switch on your computer and press one of the key on your keyboard to enter BIOS Settings. Some PC is F1 key and some might be different. (Probably different varies among laptops.)Basically, a laptop without a hard disk, you won’t able to do anything because will be no bootable drive in others words, there is no operating system. However, your BIOS is still accessible. Unlike mobile phones, especially android phone does have factory reset. If you are talking about PC, I am not sure about other operating system. But, if you are having problems with Windows 10, there is a function in Settings under Recovery, you can click on Reset This PC.If your initial OS is Windows 8/8.1 that is built in into your laptop, it is possible that your Windows 10 will be reverted to Windows 8/8.1. But, if there is no built in OS of Windows 8/8.1, whether you reset or not, you still will get Windows 10.
