How To Reword My One Sentence Topic Sentence For My Intro Very Easy And Thank You

Opinions NEEDED for my paper Thesis PLEASE - Paper will be on Angelman Syndrome?

Common everyday cases of people who have syndromes of some sort tend to exhibit only negative consequences with many troubles and difficulties during their lifetime; rarely do we encounter a joyful person with such a case until the discovery of Angelman Syndrome.

How does this sound? Clear? Enough said? Also I'm thinking about instead of writing entire first paragraph why not introduce my thesis of my paper then immediatly start my first paragraph.....
Just want some feedback.

Thanks!

I need help in revising my thesis statement.?

First off, NEVER announce what a paper is "going to be about." It's a very unprofessional and unnecessary thing young writers do. Seriously, look at ANY published paper and see if they ever do that. Just start writing; the reader understands it is a paper/essay and if you write clearly they'll understand your topic.

I've taught technical and research writing for 15 years at the university level. Your actual thesis statement appears to be, "Physician assisted suicide should be a legal option to individuals that have become terminally ill." That's it and nothing else. The thesis statement clearly and succinctly makes a stand. All your reasoning and evidence will come out later in the paper; just keep it simple. Also, depending on how your teacher has instructed you, the thesis statement occurs at the start of your introduction paragraph or, more often, as the final sentence of the introduction paragraph. When ending with the thesis statement, open with a 'hook' (a quote or surprising fact) related to your topic to draw the reader in. Follow the hook up with general background information without beginning your argument and finish the introductory paragraph with your thesis statement. Hope it helps.

Please tell me how to improve this paragraph! (short!)?

I would consider myself very good at writing, so first, you need to keep in mind that you need to write from a third-person point of view! No "I" "you" and no advice either!
A good chunk paragraph looks like this:
Topic Sentence
Set-up
Concrete Detail (parenthetical citation)
Commentary
Commentary
Set-up
Concrete Detail (parenthetical citation)
Commentary
Commentary
Concluding Sentence

For your topic sentence, do not state what is going to be in the paragraph, although it does need to revolve around your thesis.
Your set-ups should be leading into your quotation in the same sentence.
For example, in a literary analysis I wrote about Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet: "Juliet's immaturity is a little different than Romeo's; Juliet wants to be like a modern woman of society and play hard to get, but she is easily won by Romeo, "Then have my lips the sin that they have took" (1.5.119)."
Next, parenthetical citation is done like I have above. But since I was writing my essay on a script, the parenthetical citation was done by act.scene.line, but for a book, you will put the authors last name followed by page number with no punctuation in between. For example: (Smith 223).
Also, when you do parenthetical citation, you will not put the ending punctuation from the quote. You have to put it at the end of the citation. You can see how I put the period from the quote above in my first example. But if you continue your sentence after the quote, the citation will come at the end of the sentence, not next to the quote, and as well you will not put the ending punctuation from the quote until the end of the citation.
Your commentaries are good so far, but you really need to go more in depth with them! Pick out words from your quote and see what they really mean. You need to go deeper. A trick I use while writing an essay is not to think when I write my commentaries. I just type and type and usually I am satisfied with my result. You need to remember that you can make your opinion whatever you want it to be. An essay is never wrong. Infer things from your concrete details that you do not believe anyone else would pick up if they had not read your essay.
Good luck! Writing for me is so much fun! I hope you enoy it as much as I do!

How do I study for the 10th ICSE exam in English Language?

A2A.Study for minimum 16 hours before your English language paper.1 ) You must be well versed with at least 2 types of essays. (Although everyone demotivated me to attempt the story question, story writing is my forte.) You must know that each style of writing requires a special skill. After all these years, you must have understood what you are good at. Do what you feel comfortable with. Usage of quotes can be very interesting. Underline them. So prepare well for that. (2 hours)2) Letter writing formats. Be thorough with it. "Thelayout of the letter with address, introduction, conclusion, etc., will form part of the assessment" (1 : 30 hours)3) Understand the text. Comprehend it and then answer it in your words. Be specific in your answers and your grid writing. (you don't really have to prepare, still 30 mins)4) Wren and Martin. That's it. Remember, grammar is like math. Know the formula and you would get your sentences right. At worst cases, write what sounds good. But remember, some sentences might be deceiving. (6 hours )Solve past papers ( 3 papers , 2 hrs each = 6 hours)GET THEM CORRECTED by your English teacher. And do visit your mistakes and rectify them.Remember these during the exam:1) Conquer time : 45 mins for essay, 20 mins for letter, 35 mins for comprehension, 15 mins for grammar, 5 mins = reserve. During the first 15 mins : Read and decide which essay you would attempt. Read the comprehension passage, then glance through the grammar questions and then read the letter. All this while, deep inside your head, you must be planning for your essay. As soon as the writing time would starts, jot down important points. Only then amplify your points to make the essay. Same goes for letter writing and the 16 mark question in literature.2) Present very neatly and let the important lines be highlighted.Basically, be free and let your thoughts flow in your essay. Don't worry, everything will be good. Best wishes.Utilize your time properly.

Questions about thesis statements?

I'm writing an essay for my English class, and I want to know a few things.

Can you have more than one introduction paragraph in an essay? If so, can your thesis be in the second paragraph or does it always need to be in the first paragraph? If not, should I just combine the two paragraphs into one super-long one?

Second, what if you form a thesis statement, but when someone else reads your essay, they think the thesis is something else? What do you do then?

Thanks for your answers.

What are some tips for writing a 300 word essay?

300 words is very brief, so you’re not writing a standard 5-paragraph essay. Depending on requirements, you might have two or three standard paragraphs, or multiple shorter paragraphs with bullet points or quotations to support them.Tips:Choose a very specific topic. Something like two or three reasons why the new model of some product is better or worse than the previous model, what animal best represents your personality and two or three reasons why, or tips on how to write a 300 word essay. I realize that these are unlikely essay topics, but they give you an idea of how specific you need to get.Don’t waste words on a long intro paragraph or summary conclusion. Dive right in with your statement of opinion or discovery or fact, then throw down your supporting facts or anecdotes or prior evidence, make everything point to an end sentence that ties it all together with an outcome that gives purpose to what you’ve just written. If you’re not writing a timed essay, start writing as if you’re talking to someone and don’t worry about spelling or paragraph breaks or logical progression of sentences. Imagine you’ve got to get your idea across as you walk from one class to the next, so tell the person what you want to say without any extra crap. Once you’re done, look at what you have written as if it’s a photograph that’s been torn into pieces and try to reassemble the photo. (Your photo may already be assembled.) Put the similar pieces next to each other on the page, then arrange them above and below each other so the ideas flow from one to the next and lead toward the end. After you do that, take a word count. If it’s too long, start cutting things out. What you’ve just read is approximately 300 words, so shoot for something this size. This answer isn’t particularly nerdy, but if you like it be sure to check out my articles on The Nerd Manual, a guide for nerds and the people involved with them.
