How To Run Away From Home Successfully

Has Anyone Successfully Ran Away From Home?

Have You Ran Away For Months Without Getting Caught? What Did You Do? How Old Were You? Where Did You Go? I'm Not Trying To Runaway I Just Like Hearing Stories About Real Run Aways :)

How to run away from home successfully?

To begin with, i'm not planning on running away. I'm trying to write a story about a 16 year old girl who runs away, but i want it to seem realistic as possible so i'd like to know if the story i have come up with is possible. She lives in new york, but is running away to stay with a friend in california. She has $600 dollars. The plan is to skip school one day, pack up her stuff & write a letter saying she ran away, so the police won't think she was abducted & go looking for her. Also, in the letter she'll say "i have everything i need to live on the streets of new york" so that will throw them off of the idea that she could have left the state. Then she'll call a cab to take her to the airport. Pays in cash for everything, & leaves her cell phone behind. She'll end up changing her appearance and even her name. Does this sound like something that could actually happen? If not, what details should i change / add?

Could you successfully run away from home and society with $50,000 saved in the bank?

Technically you could do that with no money at all. But if you're asking if you could live the rest of your life on $50,000, the answer is not likely. That being said, it's worth noting that around 1 billion people live on less than 1$ per day, and 2.7 billion live on less than 2$. Your money would last about 68.49 years if you could maintain the 2$/day standard. But unfortunately, living on that sum usually leads to a life far shorter than 68 years...

Were there any teens actually successful in running away from home?

Yeah, but you'll wish you didn't when there's a warrant for your arrest. They don't take this lightly, especially with all the young girls that have been going missing recently. You'll be on amber alert, and then you're ******. It's only a matter of time until someone recognizes you, but something tells me you're not cut out for life on the streets. I grew up on the streets, and you've gotta be wise to survive, and it's not something you're born with. If you have a good reason to run away, like abusive parent(s), addicts for parents, etc., then go for it. You'll get caught by the cops, but they'll probably take you out of the unhealthy environment. Unless you're just like one of those spoiled brats who wants to run away because "you hate your life" for some ridiculous reason.

How do I run away and live a successful life at 15?

You can’t…. not in this day and age. There is no easy way to be successful or easy way to get rich - if there was… then everyone would do it. Including me.Unless you win the lottery, which you can’t cause you are not old enough to play.Unless you are child megastar/superstar (singer, movie star) that is making a lot of money.Unless you have this truly original idea/invention and everyone wants it.Unless you are highly educated and experienced professional that every company wants and will pay big money…My only advise, for whatever reason you want to runaway… bury it deep. Unless, you’re being physically/sexually harrassed/abused (then seek professional help). If its about being grounded/time-outs, whatever…. just know that your parent/guardian is looking out for you.In any case, work hard in life (school, work and/or other extra-curricular activity) and keep working till you get out of the rut that you are in now…I know this is probably not what you want to hear right now… but think about what your going to do when you runaway? You can choose to sleep on the streets or choose to stay with someone you know… but even then…. not everyone is willing to keep you under their care forever. Then, you are indebted to them…Eventually, the person that is older than you and knows better than you…. will exploit you or use you… worse case scenario - throw you into prostitution.Always think about what you are about to do and think about its consequences (cause there isn’t any going back, there is no magic time machine).

Could a runaway successfully board a plan without getting caught?

I don't see why not, unless the police are looking for you in the city you fly out of, and even then you might slip through. But remember, once you're on that plane, if you slipped through, they are going to know exactly where you are, and have a long time to prepare to catch you while you're on the flight. Don't be surprised if there are police waiting for you when you step off the plane.

BTW, is it illegal to run away from home?? I had no idea the police would even be after someone for doing that.
