How To Show A Video On My Computer On The Tv While Doing Something Else On My Computer

Should you avoid playing video games/using the computer when you're sick?

Depends on what kind of sick.If you have a bad cold or something, you could, but I would avoid any fast paced games, especially competitive ones, as you might notice that you’ll be a little slow and sluggish. You may also find the fast movement might be nauseating, so I’d avoid those. But if you have a game like Civilization, Divinity: Original Sin 2, XCom, or like Ryan Rynjah suggested in a comment, Skyrim, I would go play those. When I was younger I would play Minecraft when I was feeling like that. I wouldn’t anymore, because I have Civilization and Divinity, but you get the point. Casual slow games are great, especially if it’s a single player game with a good engaging story but not super fast pace gameplay. With those games it’s sort of like watching TV, but it’s far more engaging and they’re not as fast paced as other games, so you won’t feel like you’re lagging behind and there’s almost no chance it’ll make you feel nauseous. However, if you have anything more than a cold, like a really bad fever or a bad flu, I don’t recommend it. You should be resting, lay on the couch and watch a good comedy show that you enjoy. Keeps your spirits up. Typically if you have one of those you’d be better off staying off the games completely. I don’t think it’s good to play PC games at all when you’re that sick, cause if your stomach decides it doesn’t like it’s contents, it’s going all over your setup. In all honesty though, if there’s someone home with you, stay off. Even in the first scenario, people don’t understand just how relaxing games like Divinity or Civilization can be for someone who’s got a bad cold, so just stay off and follow the guidelines in 2. It won’t be nearly as fun, but it might be funny, depending on which movie/tv show you decide to watch.Hope this helps.

Is streaming movies and tv shows bad for my computer?

I want to watch some tv series and movies online by streaming but i am not sure if this will take up lots of memory and make my computer slow? Is it safe to stream large videos like that? any help is appreciated

How come my computer chooses to skip frames on the same video one time but on the other it doesent?

One problem that I am having is that when I play videos that I know are 30fps the computer skips frames.

The video that I am trying to play is one that I got from my camcorder in which I am doing a steady pan of my surroundings.

You may think that this is a hardware problem where it does not have enough resources but let me tell you that this is a well equipped computer that cost well over $1000.

The strange thing is that the computer itself chooses to skip frames at random.

For example yesterday that same video skipped frames while today it runs at true 30fps.
It is not a setting either because I haven't changed anything since then.

How can I stream video from my computer to my TV?

If you don't want to use HDMI, I suggest you to use Chromecast. With Google Chromecast, however, you can literally mirror movies on computer to TV.Mirror the movies from Computer to TV Using Google ChromecastThe setup of desktop screen sharing is very simple and straightforward.  You do not need any additional software or hardware.http://1.In Chrome browser, click the Google Cast button, you will see the available Chormecasr devices in your network as shown below. 2.You can click the arrow icon in the right. The  options will be shown as:Cast current tab. This is the default. The Chromecast tab will be cast to Chromecast.Cast entire screen (experimental). This will share the desktop screen, not just a Chromecast tab, to Chromecast.Audio mode. This will only send audio output to Chromecast. The screen or Chrome tab will not be shared.3. You can click “Cast entire screen (experimental)” to start the desktop screen sharing.Note: before sharing the desktop screen with the Chromecast device, there is a warning message letting you know that Google cast wants to share the screen and audio output (with Chromecast). You must click “Yes” to approve the screen sharing.See the following steps in How to Mirror DVD rips from Computer to HD TV via Chromecast?

Is it right to look at someone's computer screen while he/she use it?

NOT AT ALL!! Coincidentally, I'm answering your post at a library, and the computers are placed quite close together. So close you can even glance at the next person's screen!!
Anyway, no, it's not right to look at someone's screen. I wouldn't say it's wrong, but it IS very impolite, and it shows a lack of manners, and respect for the person's privacy (even if he/she is just reading the latest gossip!). Looking at one's screen while he/she is using it is the same as someone peeping into your notebook, or diary while you're jotting down whatever it is you jot down in your notebook, or diary! Wouldn't you call that an invasion of privacy?? If not, you cannot ignore the fact that the act is utterly rude!
Watching a video on your comp doesn't necessarily make it public! If you bought a newspaper and sat to read it in the park, would it be considered public? Would it then be normal that one comes over, sits next to you, and tries to read the paper too??
The bottom line is, no matter how tempted you might be, how interesting the other one's screen might be, DO NOT LOOK AT IT!! Unless of course the person invites you to look! But otherwise...NO WAY! IT'S UGLY MANNERS! If someone peeps into your screen, politely say, "Do you mind?"

Making a computer into a tvo Box?

you can do it by two options

first using tv tuner card that will work with your pc

other one is also called tv tuner card but that card can play cable witout plug in your CPU
means you can diresctly connect that to your monitor no need of CPU this hardware is availaibale in market with remote

How to use a TV as a Computer Monitor?

You comp needs a S video out slot .. Connect that to your TV

Also Apple TV will be making this happen ....

- beware resolutions on TV and a monitor are way different; on even a hi def TV it will look a bit fuzzy compared with monitor

Turning my TV into a computer monitor?

Keep quality in mind if that is an issue for you. Your TV’s usual video signal is called NTSC (PAL if you live in Europe). This signal is different than the one generated by your computer. Computers use signals measured by pixels: 320x200, 320x240, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200. Most TV’s can only get about 500 lines of resolution, in computers this is like 500 vertical pixels. The video amplifiers in televisions cannot handle higher resolutions either. So when you factor these things together you are left with a maximum resolution of 640x480. This is not the worst thing in the world because you can play games and watch video in lower resolutions no problem. It’s just that you will never get close to the resolution your computer monitor will give you.
