How To Stay Fit On Vacation

How do you stay fit or workout during vacation?

I have lots of great ideas for you!! If you like running, walking, hiking you can do that. You can find a local gym and buy a week membership if that is in your budget. You could bring workout DVDs. Or you could do some HIIT in the form of circuits- you wouldn't even need any equipment. I have some great workouts I designed here:

Vacation workouts are fun! Have a great trip!

How to avoid gaining weight while on vacation?

So I'm leaving on Saturday for the shore for a week with my family - and every year we go, there is always delicious fatty foods. We go out to eat a lot, get desserts a lot (because you can really only get them there)...etc...you know how it is. I really am scared to gain weight this year...I think I only gained a pound or two at the most last year, but I really want to watch it this time. We always go for a morning walk (but sometimes I bike or run) for about 2 miles, sometimes more sometimes less, and then I boogie board in the ocean for a few hours. Does anyone have any tips, like foods that would keep my metabolism up? I was thinking that snacking on healthy foods frequently would rev up my metabolism. Thanks :-)

Wife wants to get too 'wild' on our vacation. Should I pull the plug on the whole thing?

Wife and I have been married 21 years, both in our mid 40's but stay very fit and both look much younger. My wife at 44 is still incredibly sexy and attractive. This september we just sent our son to his first year of college and decided to plan our first vacation ALONE in 18 years! I told my wife to make all the arrangements and we could go wherever she wanted to go.
The other night she told me she had booked our trip and showed me this place on line we weer going to go to. It is a tropical resort out of the country and I freely admit looks fantastic! One of the things she was overly excited about was this resort has a 'Poolside bar/lounge/club where the women are encouraged to go topless.' (It actually says so right in the description and photos online!) and my wife says she really wants to 'cut loose' and try it out. We have never done anything outside the box or crazy like that and I'm thinking she is letting this new freedom for us cloud her judgment. I told her that I am on board with this trip, but we are absolutely not going to that club where she can get topless. She got a little defensive and gave me the "Fine, I'll go by myself then!" routine.
I obviously can not tell or dictate to my wife what she can and can't do -nobody has that right- but I'll be damned if my wife is going to go gallivanting to some club/lounge and hanging around topless just to see what it's like! I find it incredibly inappropriate and just plain wrong. Nor am I going to go and watch other men look at my wife's boobs and act like I condone such behavior. I'm seriously thinking of going in and cancelling the trip and telling her to start over and pick a new spot -this time without any nudity!
is this a good idea? Or do you think this would do more harm than good?

BTW, if it was a nude beach etc. I wouldn't mind because those places have a 'naturist' non-sexual mentality. But a club/bar where everyone is drinking and women are encouraged to be showing their ta-ta's and whose web page itself describes it as "A fun, flirty place where woman can show it all off in a hot, sexually-charged atmosphere!" is COMPLETELY different. It isn't appropriate for a married woman whatsoever.

Any advise on how to stay fit while travelling?

Since I gave up on a 'home' and started to travel constantly, one of the questions I often get is: How do I stay in shape while I'm on the road?I've experimented with different routines and systems in the past 2-3 years. I've realised that for me, 'routine' is the keyword. Once I found a system that I could follow any day, anywhere and independently from any equipment, it became much easier for me to stick to it.If you improve by only 1% every day, you improve by 37x over the course of a year (1.01^365 = ~37) - this realisation convinced me to give the 7 min workout a try. There's various apps (I use one called 'seven') and the idea is that you work out for 7 mins each day. None of the workouts require any equipment and you can this do them anywhere you find enough space. 7 mins is so easy to fit into your day and that’s what made mit stick to it - there’s never a good reason not to do the workout - even if my day is packed with meetings or if I’m camping in the desert - like yesterday.Yesterday, in the desert of Jordan, marked the 365th consecutive day for me. 7 mins are easy to fit into any day and once it had become a habit (after about 30 days) it became easy to include it in my daily routine.I've always struggled to build a workout habit while I was relaying on any equipment and / or gym. I'm sharing this as I know that a lot of you travel often and might be able to profit from building a similar habit. Happy new year!#distributedliving #habits #lifehackPS: I usually do the workout in the evening and use runtastic's apps in the morning for an additional workout.

How long should I stay at my part-time job?

I just got my first job (I'm a junior in high school). It's barely above minimum wage (of course) and while the workers there are chill, I just don't feel comfortable. I feel like it's not the right fit for me. On a side note, I have no vacation time, and it is a food-service job (casual cafe/bakery place)... Meaning I clean tables and serve dishes and stuff.
The thing is, I have a part-time job waiting for me at a family friend's business. The owner said I would be hired whenever I decided I want the job, and I'm friends with him. I would get a raise of about $2 an hour, and vacation time/days off whenever I wanted. Here, I would just be doing paperwork tasks and book keeping.
The second one fits me so much better, and I have way better benefits, but I don't know how long I should stay at my current job. 3 months? Would 2 be bad? I plan on staying at my family friend's business until college, once I start.
