How To Straighten Teeth Without Braces

How to straighten teeth without braces?

Depending on the severity, a very affordable option is a corrective appliance that looks like a retainer.
It cost me $485 and worked in 5 months with monthly adjustments.

I consulted with 3 orthodontists before the last one said it should work fine and it did.
The others recommended braces or Invisalign - ranging $1,200 - $4,800 and would take a year.
When I asked my orthodontist why the others didn't recommend it, he said likely because it's a small profit margin.

I had 4 crooked teeth and they now look almost perfect. I still need to wear it at night because one tooth is the culprit in trying to push on my straight teeth. Many have crooked teeth as they get older due to many reasons and a retainer is often needed to keep them straight.

How to straighten teeth without braces?

One way to do it, and this will sound strange, is with a popsicle stick. When I was young, I had my teeth grow behind my baby teeth, and we moved them into place using a popsicle stick.

The orthodontist actually was the one who showed us how to do this. Here's how to do it:

1. Get a popsicle stick.
2. Push the popsicle stick against your tooth in the direction you want to move it for about 90 seconds.
3. Do this each day.

The time it takes for this to finish depends on how much you want to move it, but it's the best method I've found for moving teeth, and I'm actually doing it right now to move my top canines out a little bit since they're too long and come down on my teeth. You'll start noticing change within the first couple weeks.

How can I straighten my teeth at home without braces?

Yes. But it depends on how stubborn your teeth are. Sometimes, the simple home treatment won’t work as effectively or as fast as you need them to. Sometimes, it needs the help of some implements. Some of the alternatives are:-Clear Plastic removable aligners. They can be bought over the counter. It’s simply like a mouth guard that aligns your teeth the way you want, but doesn't encumber it the way braces do.-Retainers. Retainers work in the same way that braces and aligners do, except instead of all the complicated wiring of braces you just work with one big wire guiding the teeth for the upper jaw and another one for the lower. Ways to straighten out your teeth WITHOUT braces?

The only way to straighten teeth is with some sort of braces (Invisalign is a brand name for a type of braces). If you have crowding now, it will get worse as you age. Your choice is to have braces at age 17 or to have braces at age 30. Your choice. Make an appointment with an orthodontist to find out your options, how long you will have to wear them, and the cost. Remember you will also have to wear a retainer after your treatment, possibly every night for the rest of your life. That is required to keep your teeth in their new position.

I do not recommend Invisalign for teens, and they are not for all problems. If you think they are gross, then don't go with them if they are an option.
