i agree with excile. only way they would know is if they knew how to look at security logs. They are in the Control Panel - administrative Tools - Computer Management - System Tools - Event Viewer area. I have a story on it. I was at work near the end of a government project and about to go home for the day. My boss comes into our room (we had to have a locked room for this project). He is all nervous. He has an urgent project for a user acceptance meeting coming up in a couple of weeks. He needed me to do a Powerpoint presentation on this project. I never did one so he gave me the basics and two hours later I finished it. But he needed some things changed on it. This went on for a couple more hours. Then he accepted it and I went home for the day wondering about his odd behavior. Why I was given this weird assignment. Well, when I got home, things became obvious. I rely on my cell phone for a clock/alarm. None of my three clocks in my apartment where on the right time for a few months after a power outage. One clock was always flashing. When I got home, all three clocks were displaying the approximate time of day. I checked my security logs. Someone unsuccessfully tried to log into my computer several minutes before my boss had this weird assignment. Several minutes after a successful login was I allowed to go home for the day. My webcam is on motion sensor activation aimed down the hallway to my apartment doorway. The file numbering system was off. Recycle bin was emptied when there should have been a few files in it from last weekend. I wish I would have used file recovery software. Mentioned to my boss what I had found and told him if the government needed to check my home computer, all they had to do was to meet me at my place and I would have given them access. He claimed to know nothing. And what else could I do about something like that? Nothing. Odds are your guest does not know about the security logs. The question you need to ask yourself. Do you feel your guest has a right to some privacy even when using your computer? I have had guests use my computers in my guest house. I just scan for viruses when they leave. Otherwise, I respect their privacy.

Gotta get ahead of the boy a bit. Open "Internet options" from tools tab at the top of the browser. Under the "Browser history" catagory, click "settings". In that box, click "view files". If he's savvy enough, he's wiped them but worth a try. Look for odd sites you don't recognise and jot them down to search later. Nothing there? He's pretty smart. Let's go deeper. Right click "Start" left click "Explore" Scroll down to "cookies" and see what's there. Still clean and nothing there? Hmmm... smarter than a lot. o.k, let's get serious! There is DANGER in this step. Be careful and forget you even have a "delete" key. Just look, don't touch. Click "Start", click "Run", type in regedit in the box. Go. This takes you into the soul of your machine where everything ever done is stored. Search the registry one key at a time and look for odd websites you don't know. (The "keys" are all on the leftand say "Hkey... Each goes to a sector of the OS.) Write the URL down for later use. DO NOT DELETE OR CHANGE ANYTHING!. The registry is sensetive. It doesn't mind if you look but gets cranky if you touch. Deleting anything you are not certain of can make your computer hell to work with and possibly useless. It's fun and educational and will take you hours. Worth it though! I caught my wife and her internet boyfriend the same way! Surprise! Put the kibosh on that for sure! They never met because I scared them off!

At the risk of giving you a “that all depends”-answer, it really is something that requires some preparation.But to directly answer your question, there is no way you can see the browser history using the router. The browser history is located on the client computer, which controllong the router really doesn’t give you access to.However, assuming that what you actually want is to be able to see what internet sites somebody else has been using your router to access, this can be done by the clever application of a proxy and logging, if your particular router is capable of doing so. From experience I know that routers that have the DD-WRT os installed can do this, but the transpatent proxy service and the logging need to be set up before the use of the router in order for the traffic to be logged. So if your router has the capability and you have followed these steps ahead of time, you are able to see what your router has been used to access.This brings us to the subject of privacy.
