How Will The British High Commission Inform Me By Sms About My Visa Was Refused

How can I know status of my UK standard visitor visa application status?

If during your visa application you had opted for SMS/Text notification you'll get notified by text message of the processing. However it will not be revealed to you by text or email if your visa is approved or rejected. All you will get info from Consulate/VFS/High commission that document has been received and if it has been processed. So sit back and wait for the Passport, you'll get to know the status once you get the Passport back.

My Schengen visa application reached the French embassy in the morning and I have received an SMS of it being dispatched in the evening. What does such a quick processing suggest about the approval?

French Embassy in India is really fast in reviewing and processing visa applications. Their endeavour is to release visa applications within 48 hours of application. However, their official processing time is still 15 working days. So, you cannot contact them until the application has been delayed past the official processing time.—RegardsStampMyVisa

What is the meaning of “your processed Visa application no. Xxxx couriered to you”? I got this SMS today from VFS, and I applied for a Schengen visa one week back. Can we guess whether my visa has been rejected or approved by this SMS?

In most cases, when you receive such a message, it means that your visa is granted. If your visa would have been rejected you would have been called to the VFS Centre to collect your passport and sign the copy of the visa rejection papers.Did you apply at VFS France/Germany/Switzerland/?

How can I track my UK visa application status if I had applied via the Visa4UK website?

Okay, first off I know this is an old question but there is so much incorrect information on it and it bothers me. I have applied for 4 UK settlement visas. (I was denied for the initial one because we misunderstood the monetary requirement, I applied a few months later and was approved! I have applied for all of my visas myself, no lawyers or other paid help.)Depending on where you are applying from and what visa you are applying for (neither of which are included in the question) makes your question difficult to answer.Basically, no there is no way to find out where your application is in the visa process. The process seems needlessly opaque. They have an email and phone number you can call, but they both cost money and it's a waste because you are reaching a call centre that has no access to your application who mostly dispenses incorrect advice and wrong status updates. They charge in GBP at more than a pound a minute or about £5 for the email.UKVI time scales are business days. For the US their aim is to process a settlement visa in 60 business days, which is 12 weeks from your receipt of the first email from them that your application has been received. During busy times it can be weeks after your application shows it arrived at UKVI through your package tracking. It's a process that's nerve wracking, the worst time to apply is May-August as that's when everyone and their brother applies ahead of the next school year. You can only apply 3 months before your requested travel date, and your visa can take more than 60 business days to process from when you receive that email. Did I mention not everyone receives that email?

How do I track my UK visa application?

The visa process for any country can be a long and stressful process. If you’re thinking about a move to the UK, I’ve outlined some things below to keep in mind. This is a brief overview but if you want a more in-depth analysis be sure to check out this website for more information on relocation assistance.Average Processing Times:UKVI has released a site wizard called Visa Processing Times that provides the expected turn-around for each issuing post by visa type. The user can enter their home country and visa type and is then given historical data broken out by processing time. A sample for the USA looks this:Email & SMS Alerts:You can opt in to receive SMS alerts but most people find that the SMS facility is not granular enough to suit their needs, especially when they are awaiting important news. Unfortunately, there's actually no other way to learn more. The UKVI internal systems only have about 5 status' anyway.Your T2 sponsor (if applicable) has access to the UKVI Sponsor Management System and can query the database on your behalf. The only information that your sponsor is likely to get is what you already received via SMS.IN COUNTRY applicants can be notified of their status by email. So your renewal or subsequent applications can take advantage of that method.Exceeding the Time Limit:UKVI has agreed a service level with Parliament and as long as your application falls within their agreed time limit, they are not obliged to provide ‘extraordinary status’ information. Once they have exceeded the time limit and they have not reached a decision, they will notify you. Also at that point you have the option of initiating a query on your own. This holds true for all visa applications across the board, but each visa type has a different target.Hope this helps.

The VFS Application tracker says 'Visa Application Tracking ID No. has been dispatched VIA courier' in the result page. What does it mean?

Means your documents has been dispatched to the VFS office, go and collect. Open the parcel and check your passport, if passport has any Visa seal followed by a grant letter from high commission means you got your visa or else you would get a visa rejection letter.

What could I do if US embassy is taking too long to return my passport stamped with visa?

What can you do? Be calm. The reason for the delay probably has nothing to do with you. However, unless your passport with visa arrives today, you'll likely have to wait a little longer -- Holidays play hell with bureaucratic processes and mail. http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/ho... Also, as I recall, the month of September is usually extra-hectic in an American Embassy, as the senior officials try to get everyone organized after the Summer "transfer season" and deal with the end of the fiscal year on September 30, while Washington (the State Department) asks the Embassy to look into aspects of little things like the UN General Assembly, and Washington begins to become mired (buried in $#!+) in general as the election season nears. Can the Embassy withhold your visa and passport (not your application) indefinitely? Indefinitely is a month or longer. No, they "can't" hold your documents indefinitely. If the delay is protracted, the Embassy's Counselor for Consular Affairs (or even the Deputy Chief of Mission) might want to know that the Consulate needs to smooth out its operations. http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/of... Give the Consulate another week or even two, and then call the Consular Counselor's [pun] office Tel: (91-120) 4844644 or (91-40) 4625-8222 -- You may find that the Counselor's administrative assistant/secretary/office manager will ask you to explain your problem, and will take it in hand.

How can I know that I have been approved for a UK visa?

The UK High Commission or Home Office would write to you or your legal representative with the decision
