How Would I Use This As A Lesson To Draw Conclusions

What does it mean to draw your own conclusion?

My daughter has an assignment and she has to read a statement and draw her own conclusion. Does that mean what she thinks what the outcome is? or does it mean that she should explain what she thinks that is going on. For example:
someone helped with slavery in NY in 1942 and fought for peoples freedom. What would be the conclusion?

What is the definition of drawing conclusions?

We use information from reading, from the world around us, and from our own life experiences to draw conclusions. For example, consider the fairy tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Goldilocks entered the Bears' house without being invited in. We know from our own experience that this is not the right thing to do. We can use Goldilocks’s actions, plus our own knowledge, to draw the conclusion that she was rude.

When we read the biography of a person, we can use information presented in the biography to draw conclusions about the type of person he or she was.

To draw conclusions is to come to a reasoned judgement. It is to come to an opinion based upon reasoning and evidence. It is to be able to make a statement based upon logic. It involves using good judgement and evidence presented to evaluate or to validate. It means to come to a determination of what is true about one thing, based upon knowledge, opinions, observations and facts about something different but related.

There are factors that affect the method you use to draw conclusions - particularly the sort of information you want to find, and the assumptions you make in order to get to the information you want.

It is really quite difficult to define "drawing conclusions" in simple terms. The term assumes a certain level of understanding of semantics and critical thinking.

I have included a couple of links. I hope this is of some help.
