I Accidentally Called The Prophet Pbuh And The Day Of Arafat

Why are these 5 people so important? why did Allah SWT.....?

"Well well. What we have here is a Mexican standoff, except we ain't got no Mexicans." (A funny line from a funny movie that popped into my mind after I read some answers here).

TO: PEDRAM, NINETY9, HAPPILY HAPPY, SHI'E MUSLIM, SHAHKY RAMADAN:

You all have referred to & stated, for all to see & read, the GREAT ESCAPE CLAUSE (as it has begun to be called) resorted to by all Muslims, i.e., whenever it suits you, all Muslims claim that all the hadiths are not worth the paper they are written on because "they're just man's writings". YET @ the same time, all of you must agree as nonmuslims do that ALL fiqh, sharia law, etc. could not exist without them (hadiths). Listen, if Islam relied on the Quran alone, it would be totally unrecognizable. Do you not even realize that?

All of you (& all Muslims reading this) please make up your collective minds about what exactly is your position on hadiths & stop accepting / rejecting them as the circumstances & questions demand from nonmuslims.

I do hope all Muslims see how deliberately contradictory you are on the subject of hadiths whenever you are confronted with a question about Islam's teachings.

Excellent question Pedram. I wonder if I'll see it here again or if my answer &/or some other very particular answers have been deleted.

I've read also that all Muslims believe all prophets have the same importance just like magic of dawn stated.

May you seek the one true God, Jesus Christ who is God's Word (see John 1:1-18 for the incarnation of God) & His one & only Son, & His Holy Spirit,
K

EDIT:

You can only kiss during Ramadan fasts but once you have broken the fast until the next sehri you can be like any husband and wife without any prohibitions.Sexual activities are banned during fasting only and there is no block once you break the fast for the day and before the next sehri fasting starts. Obviously you need to purify yourself before going to next fast as well.

Islam is a religion that requires faith and works. According to Islam, we are placed here on earth to test our level of faith and obedience to God, so that our place in the hereafter can be determined.Obedience means doing everything that God commands us to do and avoiding everything that God commands us to avoid doing.Faith alone is not enough. There are five mandatory acts in Islam (pillars of Islam) that you must fulfil in order to be a good Muslim. They are as follows:1. Declaration of faith, through the statement "I bear witness that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is a messenger of Allah"2. Performing the five daily prayers3. Giving alms4. Fasting in the month of Ramadan5. Pilgrimage to Mecca (for those who can afford it)The declaration of faith makes you a Muslim. Not performing the remaining four, unless you are really prevented from doing so, makes you fasiq (one who violates Islamic law). You can also become fasiq by doing what God forbids. As a fasiq, while you remain a Muslim according to some jurists, you continue to sin in a big way, for as long as you don't perform the mandatory acts of Islam, or you don’t stop doing the things that God forbids.Reading the Quran and remembering the names of Allah are good deeds but cannot outweigh the sins of not performing the mandatory acts, including praying.Muslims whose sins outweigh their good deeds can also end up in hell. Please do your best to stop being fasiq.

Verse 9:5 which is an oft quoted verse of Surah Tawbah (repentance) because it translates roughly to kill all the polytheists wherever you find them and most non-educated Muslims and non-Muslims take this as a general call for murder. They often take everything out of context because they don't read the whole surah to figure why this has been said. Allah/God is only talking about fighting against those polytheists that betrayed the Muslims despite having a peace treaty between them. Verse 9:6, which is the verse that comes next, tells the Muslims to grant asylum to the polytheists who seek refuge from the war/during the war and literally 'escort them to  safety'.  Seems like a division of interests to first command the murder of all polytheists and then grant them safety if they desire it so. This is because,if the whole surah is read and the context understood, Allah is only commanding the Muslims to act in self-defence to those polytheists who broke the peace treaty between them not to murder each and every non-Muslim there is. Most people and unfortunately many Muslims do not understand Islam any better than a non-Muslim does. It takes an open mind and an eager heart to learn this religion and realise that all this fuss about the Quran commanding terrorism is baseless and unfounded. You do not take a random sentence from a book, let's say Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in which there are a couple of lines that clearly say"time to kill... Rip..tear...kill...I smell blood". Keeping in mind that the average age of the books reader is 11/12, these lines/sentences seem hardly appropriate. But why don't we hear that Harry Potter is a terrorist book promoting violence and bloodshed, because no one in their right mind would judge the whole series, the author and the fans based on 3 lines that are taken out of context. So, how can people then judge a whole religion with centuries of history and billions of followers based on a verse that is not even read/understood in context and nor in its actual language (Arabic)?

Zero evidence in this thread, apart from the Shia post, which was informative, even if non-determinative for Sunnis.Despite what has been said here and elsewhere, there is a disagreement among the scholars as to whether inhaling smoke is (1) haram or not; (2) breaks the fast or not. Same question applies to vapour for those of us who vape - the question of whether inhaling vapor breaks the fast is also subject to disagreement.

Shedding tears is desirable in prayers as long as it is caused by the love and fear of Allah. There is a hadith narrated from the Prophet which says: O Abu Dharr! The Lord has given me the news [saying], ‘I swear upon My honor and glory that my slaves will never comprehend the reward of crying and its value. I have established palaces at the highest levels of paradise for those who shed tears and no one will share it with them’.”As a resul , crying in your prayer could be considered a good sign, but you have to be cautious about some points in this regard:1.Prevent yourself from being arrogant. Some might assume that they are a very good servant of Allah and this would lead them to the danger of arrogance.2.As an obligatory precaution, if one intentionally weeps, silently or loudly, over some worldly matters, his namaz will be void. But, if he weeps silently or loudly due to fear of Allah, or for the Hereafter, there is no harm in it. In fact, it is among the best acts.3.You love and fear Allah at the same time and that’s why you cry your love for him. This would definitely affect the way you behave in your life. Try to follow Allahs order in your life. Crying at nights and doing the right things at days are good signs that show Allahs consent to his servants.4.Read this article about the result of crying. http://www.islamportal.net/bookp...
