What is a good song to do a senior high school dance to?
My dance team always has the seniors do a special dance for half time at the senior night basketball game but we need a song to do it to. We would like to do some sort of lyrical with the song talking about leaving your past behind and moving on but taking all the good memories with you. HELP please and thank you (:
Dance playlist for the high school dance?
That covers like 1 hour and a half doesn't it?? You need a lot more songs.. Ok no offence, but i'm going to assume you're not the dj right? Cous according to the order you have ur songs, the BPM (Beats per minute) would not work at all. I'm no pro dj or anything, but i've djed for several school dances and i've been playing around with turntables and software since I first started high school, 5 year ago. Rule of thumb is never put slow songs at the end, slow songs have a tendency to empty out dance floors and if you leave it for the end, your party will end with half the people sitting around.. What you want to do is ease into the slow songs midway through, i'd recommend going from the hip-hop to some r&b, and then making the switch to slow songs. Eventually you'll have to get out of the slow songs, just lead out with a couple of rock songs. It's very easy to smoothly make a transition from rock to any genre you like. Also, you should really add some more songs from other genres.. Right now that list is looking really dull and all you have is hip-hop... Try the "Dance" genre, like Cascada, Axwell, Benny Bennasi... stuff like that. I can tell that you want to emphasize hip-hop in your dance but really.... you NEED more genres in there. And sorry but I don't have time to list 2 hours of songs for you to use and like most dj's I charge for sharing previously used playlists. Good luck with the dance.
