Yahoo Group Calendar keeps sending reminders with wrong time!?
Hi, This occurs most often because someone's group time zone and personal time zone are not set the same (Specifically, I see this occurring in your account at this time). If you allow members and moderators to modify events, it's possible that anyone modifying the calendar events (who doesn't have their time zones set correctly) could alter the reminders and times in events unintentionally. Please make sure anyone who modifies your group's calendar has both time zone areas on their account set to the same time. Cannot delete Calendar Event reminders?
Hello kraftyhl I have exactly the same problem. I set up several reminders on an old yahoo email account. I have been able to delete all of them except one. The answers below do not help and there is no option for this query in the help pages. If I find the answer I'll let you know and could I ask if you find the answer could you let me know. Thanks in anticipation of your help.
Permissions to edit a yahoo group calendar?
Yes, I changed the permissions to allow people to edit and it did not work. I did this exact same thing with a group I created last year and it worked...but this time, all members started emailing me saying that they could not edit the calendar. I go into the calendar and create appointments and then want to give permission for Members to go in and schedule themselves to those appointments. The Members get an error that says "Edit' Permissions not available". They way I have gone to give permissions: I have gone to the Management - Group Settings - Web Tools (just as you've said), I then click to "edit" and under "Calendar" I choose the button that says "Members (create/modify/delete events)"...but is still not allowing any Members to do that.
Group Emails are delayed ot not received by the members?
Update 4/6 @Nubia - LOL! I wish there were a way to get the headers of messages never received! But note I said "the longest-delayed" messages. Within the Received: fields of the message header are time stamps that may reveal where the delay occurred. This can help distinguish between an issue within Yahoo's servers or one at the members' email service. Levine's mail parser (cited below) will calculate the delays for you. @Echo - When reports like this are widespread, and especially when they affect multiple receiving services I'd more suspect a problem within Yahoo's outbound farm than with greylisting or similar problems at the hand-off to members' email services. ----- Yahoo Groups has over six hundred outbound mail servers, sometimes one or more of them go bad and then you get these situations where outbound messages are delayed. Because of the way messages are routed, messages bound for some members can be delayed while other members receive them promptly. This does crop up from time to time, and it usually is temporary (lasting a day or two before Yahoo finds and fixes the faulty server(s). The best thing to report here would be the name of the group(s) affected. The best thing to report via the Get Help link would be the full headers from some of the longest-delayed messages.
Incorrect Time displayed in Group Meeting Reminders?
There is only one group's (calendar) reminder time zone setting, so if different members were using different ones then they were changing the group's setting. That problem with the new calendar (members changing a group setting) is why Echo suggests that you use the "limited" setting to the calendar access option. That said, it is most surprising that you received two reminders with a different offset. Unless the arrival of the first reminder prompted a member living in offset -0300 to go "fix it". I think they would have had to "fix" both the event and the reminder time zone setting. The GMT offset used for generating reminders is shown only in the group's (calendar) reminder time zone setting, found in the Options page under the Actions button. My suspicion is that it applies at the moment the reminder is sent, and is not stored in each individual event. If that's true then when you create an event there would be no way to know that the reminder time zone wouldn't be changed later.

Yahoo Group - adding members AND sending invites?
Can I invite as well as add the same members to my Yahoo Group? I sent invitations but they haven't received it yet (sent it 1 day ago). I need to send some announcements to the Yahoo Group so I was thinking I could add them as members until we work out the issues with the invitations. Is this feasible?
