Anyone know why I am unable to compose an email or even reply to an email?
Switching to Basic Mail may help if you cannot send mail using full featured mail. Go to Settings under the gear, Viewing Mail tab and get Basic Mail at the bottom of the next screen.

If you're using a web-browser based email (hotmail, yahoo etc) then try deleting all of your browsing history and cookies. Sometimes flash won't load right and this is the way to fix that problem.
