I Ate Badly When I Was A Kid It Wasn

I ate raw chicken, is that bad?

Does it mean you will drop down screaming in pain as you slowly expire from vital bodily fluids escaping your body from every orifice? According to a lot of people you might, but from personal experience, no. Not a very good idea unless it is properly prepared, but on average, no.Case in point. I worked in further processing for poultry which is your KFC type production of chicken. I once had a "gaylord" of chicken dumped on me by accident. A "gaylord" is a large plastic bin, about a cubic meter and it was full of raw chicken breasts. I certainly did ingest the marinade that is present on raw chicken, that is the slimy coating you feel when handling it. It didn't kill me, but I have to tell you a secret. You can learn to live with salmonella. It was not uncommon for me to get the "green apple two step" when I was working in the business as well as some nausea, but after a while very little. The real concern is listeria which has a case death rate of 20%. The bacteria is everywhere and is usually transmitted by dirty foot wear. I have seen chicken dropped on floors and people throw it back on the line. I have also seen the same people fired and the entire line stopped, stripped down and sanitized and the existing product in or on the line destroyed. It is really that serious. I will leave E.Coli out of this as that means a lot more typing, but possibly worse than listeria.Anyway, raw chicken, unless you know what you're doing is a bad idea.

Is it bad to only eat 3 slices of pizza for a whole day and nothing else.?

Right, as someone who's never had a problem with her weight I will let you in on a little secret ;-) .

If you're hungry, eat, if you're not hungry then don't eat. It's as simple as that, when your hungry your body is pretty much telling you it needs nutrition! So I just eat when I'm hungry, I hardly ever snack and usually just stick to main meals, and if I'm not hungry then I simply won't eat. I have gone a whole day without eating before because I wasn't hungry and some days I will eat a lot, if your still hungry after your pizza then pick up an apple or something with low calories to eat if your really worried? but to be honest, worrying about calories all the time is just stressful, just sit back and enjoy life, your not going to get fat overnight and as long as you exercise and are sensible then you should have no problem :-)

What happens when a vegetarian eats meat for the first time?

I think I can answer this: It’s somewhat life-changing.My mother became a lacto-ovo vegetarian in her teens, and so I was conceived and raised without meat. I subconsciously skip meat on menus and at the store. It’s just never been a part of my natural life. In fact, I can immediately tell if there’s meat in a dish due to the very unfamiliar flavors and textures.I was in my teens when I worked in fast food. I took maybe ten nibbles of meat and didn’t understand the appeal. (I mean, I had to cook chicken so I never ate that. It literally looks like a hairless, headless bird when you cook it! Then it gets chopped up and you feel the bones and sinew rip apart— but, I digress.)My first ‘authentic’ taste of meat occurred in my mid-twenties. It was filet Mignon at a fancy fondue place, and I ate a few solid bites. Here’s what went down:Blood. It tastes like blood, end of story.Flatulence. Embarrassing, never-before-experienced eruptions of mostly odorless gas from a place in my bowels I did not realize existed until that very moment.Energy. Not the kind I get from soda or coffee, but a tranquil sort of energy that sustained throughout the evening. That’s it. Over the next several years, I’ve had a few more bites of steak and fish. This morning, I ate a bite of my roommate’s steak. I feel that silent strength right now, and so here I am. I say it’s ‘life-changing’ because it alters the way I feel when I eat it, like a drug I never knew I needed.I’ve suffered from weight loss, depression, anxiety, and fatigue for 33 years, and today I just feel better.(This is my first post/reply, so please let me know how I’m doing.)Update: Thanks for being so welcoming, Quora! I never expected to get this kind of feedback!

Is eating pumice stone bad for you?

There's a bigger issue here. It sounds like you have a condition called "Pica"; an urge to eat things that are generally inedible. If you find yourself experiencing urges to eat other inedible things, it might be wise to consult a therapist. That therapist will be able to tell you if pumice in harmful in some way.
