If so, call customer care & ask to sign up for the extra feature that lets you block text messages & phone calls for a specific phone number. Some phones have an option called a rejection list. It would be under call settings if you have this option. You would simply add the number to the rejection list and the call wouldn't go through. Actually the caller just goes straight to voice mail. If you do not have the rejection list, then assign a silent ringtone to the person. That way the person calls, you won't hear them calling. You can just ignore the call. Maybe try this...text the person saying "Your messages have been blocked by (state your own number). Message 303." The person will think you blocked their text messages. If they text again, reply with the same message. You also change your number if you wish to go that far. You also tell the person that every call and text is now being forward to the police. That should hopefully scare them and then they would stop!

Even if the cell network tried to deliver a text to the person because it thought the person didn't want text messages blocked, the phone would reject the text. It is like me going to the post office and telling them I don't want mail from a certain person or business. They will not send out any mail from that address or business.

If you wish to only block text during that time period, I would use Do Not Disturb. You can set it for that time period and it will block everything. If the contact is in your Favorites, you can set Do Not Disturb to allow calls through from that specific contact during that time period, as well as other contacts. There have been some changes to how Do Not Disturb operates now, and also allows for individual emergency pass through for individual contacts. Usually, with SMS text messages, the block feature on most phones doesn't really “block” who ever's incoming text messages..“Ignore” would be a better fitting name for the feature.And it's also very phone dependent.When you block someone, on most phones, that will just send their calls straight to the voice mail.. Incoming text messages will still go through..New phones though, will actually block the incoming text messages.. Although, like I said, it's not really blocking. The text message is sent.. So it has done its rounds through the network. Then, when it reaches the phone, the phone will recognize that the incoming message is from someone that is blocked. So it will not set off the notification ring tone, and it might even delete it..It's a fake block..More of a filter than a block.Anyways. I hope that helps.

Depends on the Straight Talk phone you are using. This will work for some Straight Talk phones. Go to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, Security, enter your 4 digit security code, Restriction. Then choose the contacts option. This means that only the people who are listed in your phones contacts list will be able to call you. You will only be able to call the people listed in your phones contacts list.
Can I see text messages from someone I blocked?
Any message sent, while you had them blocked is gone, and when you unblock them, you only get NEW messages that are sent after they have been unblocked.So if you want to ignore someone for say a week, put their contact info on silent, that way you don't hear they have sent text. And then you can greedily read everything they send. Otherwise you are playing that stupid Block UNBLOCK game that most people are playing, but wishing they could see the begging and pleading to text or call them. (at least that is what they are hoping is happening while they are blocking people).
