I Bought A Package Of Hotdogs And Left It In The Car Over Night. Is It Safe To Eat Them Even If I

Cooked hot dogs left out overnight are they okay to eat?

hot dogs do not need to be "cooked" or even heated up!! they are fully cooked when you buy them. you only need to open the package and eat.

Yes, they will be fine to eat the day after they were heated. But do not leave them out on the cabinet longer than 12 hours!

Is it safe to eat a hot pocket thats been left out in the car for 3 hours even tho i refroze it?

here's the deal: I think yes, but that's just my opinion because I believe that processed foods are so far removed from anything resembling real food that when it's subjected to extreme heat or cold it responds chemically like nothing natural anyway. Would I drink milk left on the table for 15 minutes - nope. Would I pick up a hot pocket off the road, heat it in a microwave, eat it and expect to get sick? probably 50/50 if I didn't at least brush it off before putting it in the microwave.

Left hot dogs out over night but they were covered...?

If food stays between 40 and 140 (F) for more than four hours, it must be thrown out. That number is cumulative.

If you leave it out for two hours, refrigerate it, then leave it out for another two hours, it must be thrown out.

The link below sites two hours as the maximum. I was always taught four in culinary school, but that's taking the food from start to finish.

I'm assuming the link below is accounting for any amount of time the food was in the danger zone before it got to your home.

Regardless, throw it out. It's no longer safe to eat. Sorry.

I left my hot dog buns opened just a tad overnight can I still use them?

If they were just normal hotdog buns with no mayonnaise or anything spread on them, they are totally safe to eat. Sealing bread products on the bag is not a food-safety issue, it's a taste issue. Bread left open gets stale faster, especially if you live in a dry climate.

If the buns did dry out, spread a little butter or margarine on them and lay them open and buttered-side-up on a cookie sheet. Pop this under the broiler for a minute or two, until they start to turn just a little brown around the edges. Use them right away while they're hot. If you aren't having hotdogs, turn them into garlic bread for whatever you are having. Mix a little garlic powder into the butter before spreading it on the buns and proceed as normal.

If it's not ground beef, the bacteria will be on the surface. If you cook the surfaces well, maybe fry in 1/2 in. of oil, it will be fine. In fact, the bacteria may give it a better flavour.Hunters and farmers regularly "hang" their beef and venison for a week or 10 days, usually, they rub it with a rag soaked in vinegar and salt every few days. There are traditional aged beef dishes in the UK that use beef, aged for up to a couple of weeks, until it is "high". I have cooked some of these recipes. The meat smells rotten. A sensible person would throw it away. When it starts to cook, it smells pretty bad. Once it reaches a point in cooking, the aroma changes, the meat starts to smell good, and, when it's done, it's absolutely delicious.

Dogs are scavengers by nature and will eat just about anything they can wrap their dog lips around. Their stomachs are a little different than people’s so they can handle eating some things that might turn our stomachs. It's why dogs that go through the trash and eat food that has been there for a couple of days are usually fine.If the chicken smells okay and is deboned, let him have it. If the meat smells a little funky or is discolored, toss it. Any meat on the bone should be removed before feeding to dogs and cats. Chicken bones can break and splinter causing injury to a pet's mouth and digestive tract.

Can I eat hot dogs that were left out if I cook them?

How long will they be without refrigeration?
If it will be several hours I suggest that you freeze the hot dogs before you go. Put them in the freezer overnight so they are frozen solid. I would also put the buns in the freezer and a few bottles of water. All of this will keep the hot dogs cold for quite sometime.
If you are packing for a weekend and the hot dogs have to last an entire weekend get the cooler and pack properly. Even though hot dogs are pre cooked they can still provide a great place for bacteria to grow. they need to be kept cold. If you really don't want to be bothered to keep items cold bring canned meat. that you do not have to worry about temperature at all. Any left over should be discarded. Depending on where you are camping you may have to hang it and bring it out with you.

Baked potatoes left in hot car for 3 hours...is it safe to eat?

I wouldn't eat them. Especially if they had sour cream, cheese, or anything on it.

It doesn't matter that you put them in the fridge because all the bacteria has already grown on them. Now you are just keeping them in tact.
