I Cannot Find A Job What Can I Do In Order To Make Some Money

What can I do when I can't find a job and I wanna die?

I was laid off for 8 months once, and it wasn’t a great experence. I remember being frustrated. I couldn’t pay the bills, and didn’t have money to do anything. I went on many job interviews, but just couldn’t land a job; at least one that would pay the bills. I had no savings as I just went through a divorce, and while I was able to walk out of that fairly unscalthed here it was all slipping through my fingers. My house, new truck, and any hope of moving on. The depression I remember feeling was out of frustration; feeling trapped. Wanting to die seems odd to many, but I’ve been there many times. When we feel trapped like that it is hard to see the opportunities that are present. We are so focused on what are unachievable goals that we blind ourselves to anything else. It doesn’t matter how hard I hope and prey a million dollars isn’t going to drop in my lap, so why waste the energy? Just because I can’t make it happen doesn’t make me less of a person, or a failure. On a side note, I have worked at Burger King and have had 100k a year corporate jobs. I can tell you that no matter how much money you have it is never enough. Spend your time and energy doing what you can to help others and the rest will fall into place.

Jobs for a 17 year old who can't count money?

I know that not knowing how to count money at 17 is a huge deal, and I'm trying, it's just I don't understand numbers, they confuse me, and I can't find a job that works for me. I need a job where I don't have to deal with money ever. Any suggestions?

I need money and can't find a job?

I don't get it, I have worked all my life up until a year ago when I lost my job. I have never had such a hard time finding and getting a job. Right now I am attending college online and so far have all A's and B's. I have filled out applications and resumes and apparently no one in my area is hiring. I have been a cashier all my life and my choices are limited so that doesn't help. I'm also a pretty good photographer and great in photo shop with some artistic talents in that area, but yet I can't figure out what kind of work I can do with it. I don't want to do wedding because they are too risky and I also am not completely confident with my actual photo taking skills. That being said, does anyone know of anything I can do, somewhere I can go to make some kind of money. Times are getting hard and I can't take it anymore. Any advise would be much appreciated.

I cannot find a job and I'm unemployed, what should I do?

Unfortunately it looks like you need some advice, a change in your mindset to beam positivity and a sprinkle of hope to give you a confidence boost.Firstly consider yourself lucky, you've got access to the internet and you're still very young! Also you've found a great resource using Quora for advice instead of hiding away and feeling lost...My best piece of advice is to be very careful when proofreading your content being sent to new contacts. I understand English may not be your first language but it is extremely important to spell check and not make simple grammar mistakes (I'm no Shakespeare myself). Read your question again, think about how it should read (I cannot find a job and I'm unemployed, what should I do?) and remember that this is the first thing anyone will notice, most likely the reader will have an opinion on you already. If you are looking for a job or interested in attending some type of academy you want to make sure your initial intro email/letter is very well written and contains no mistakes.I actually have a fairly decent network in Greece and may be able to connect you with some good contacts depending on your skills. I've got 8 years recruitment experience across the UK, Europe and the Middle East so will know quite quickly if I can help you. Please get in touch with me directly on LinkedIn and I will be more than happy to help you get your foot in the door for a new job.Look forward to hearing from you.

I moved to Los Angeles and can't find a job?

i'm 23 and moved to los angeles (north hollywood) two months ago because I have always wanted to live here and make it out here. I moved from Omaha. I graduated college with a degree in marketing last spring and quit my job back home because it was a boring desk job and couldnt find another one. I've lived with my parents my whole life. Anyhow I decided to move out here(los angeles) two months ago and signed a 6 month lease in hopes of finding a job and making it out here. The only problem is I can't seem to find any jobs that pay very well. My rent is 1000 a month and I am going through my savings like crazy out here. I've had a saving account all my life and now its dwindling. Now I just stay at my apt and watch movies all day and send out my resumes online. I've tried going door to door businesses but all I can find are jobs that pay minimun wage or jobs waiting tables. I also figured I would go out more, I have a couple of friends that live here, but things are so expensive and they have money and I dont. I also left behind a guy I was dating back home who was amazing, the first guy I ever loved, he was so good to me and we had amazing chemistry, and he didn't want me to leave but I figured since I was young and have no kids I should just go for my dreams. We were talking on the phone every night but now we rarely talk at all even though we are on good terms he said I coule call him if i needed anything but I'm afraid he may meet someone else and I am stuck here with no job and no income. What should I do?

I cant find a job? im 19 years old?

It's tough for a young person to get an administrative job. Keep checking monster and hotjobs on the internet. Try looking at places like Starbucks, Target, and other places at a mall thats close by. Also, check online for cell phone companies in your area, just pull up their websites and click on the careers section - often times many of them are looking for help in their stores. I have a 19 year old stepdaughter who works for Sprint and she makes great money, I also have a 22 year old son who works for Starbucks, he's been there 3 years and loves it and makes pretty good money too.

Good luck in your job hunt! I hope you get some great ideas here, and find something soon.

Why can’t I get a job? What am I doing wrong?

As your question is missing a description, I guess no one could tell you what you are doing wrong, but there are some points you may consider for improvement:Education. I put it first because most people choose higher education so they can find good job, but the fact is that no one learns everything they need for their first job after it. And now, you are wondering why swimming that way. The answer is not simple, there are many factors: better reputation of school, good self esteem and self confidence, some side qualities, way of thinking, conclusions etc.Job search access. You may have not that successful method of job seeking. There are many different ways to find a job - ads, business networks as LinkedIn, your personal contacts and contacts of your contacts, companies’ websites etc. You will find some of them useful more of less, it depends on you. As for me, personal contacts and recommendations did it great.Contacts. As mentioned before, it is really important. It is good to have someone who can say a few good words about you or maybe tell you about their experience. You don’t have to find the job, you can find someone who can find it for you (in ideal world) or to help you (best case scenario). Is it job you really want? Before you start any search, you make sure what you are looking for. So, the same applies for the job. What is your dream job? Is there any company you like? Why?Exact steps you need to make. If you know what you want, you should find out what steps to make to get it - and do it!Selling yourself. This point can even beat education, happened not just once - a lot of times. Selling yourself sounds rough and ambiguous, but it is really important not to take it wrong. As much as everyone of us needs a job, every company needs people to give it to. Ask yourself why should they give the opportunity to ME - not to someone else? Prepare for test/interview, do your homework when it comes to researching company, make good CV, be confident. Read some book on that subject, ask someone relevant.Don’t be afraid of failure. If you fail, don’t get it too serious - it’ll be all right next time, but more important: use it right. Ask your interviewer what you did wrong and improve in that direction. And for the end, as someone said on LinkedIn: If you don’t have a job, your job is to find one - literally, search for it 8 hours a day.

If most people with a degree from uni cannot get a job, is it worth studying?

Questions like this really irk me because it presupposes that the only value in something is if you can make money with it.While some educational endeavors will give you skills that are directly useful in a job, you first have to be educated in order to acquire these skills. In my view, an essential role of education in people's lives is to show them how to think, to explore and to use information in their world around them. There is education and there is fact acquisition -- they are not the same despite what many people say (especially politicians and business leaders).A school setting of any level provides access to resources and knowledgable people who can impart information of all types in a relatively easy way. Students can certainly learn on their own, but having a mentor show them how to navigate complexity is not only efficient but engaging. So education can indeed be valuable to people who know what it is. Otherwise, they should just recognize what they want from an institution and regard wherever they are as a trade school that will have a specified program demonstrating future economic value.

I'm 17 and I can't get a job anywhere?

I've been applying for jobs for over a year and i've only gotten called once, and i still didnt get it. I've literally applied to every place in my area and nothing. I asked if i was doing something wrong and im not but i just dont get it. Everyone around me is getting jobs its frustrating bc i really need the money since my mom get laid off and my dad lost his job and is now working a jib that earns him half of his paycheck from before. I have excellent grades, leadership experience from extracurriculars and am very well spoken. I dont have work experience but i have plenty of volunteer experience. I mean how can i get work experience if no one will hire me. I get frustrated bc i couldnt even get a job at mcdonalds but this guy with a giant marijuana tattoo on His arm got my job. Im not applying to be a lawyer or a doctor just a simple min wage job. Everyone around mr gets a job on like their third try but its taken me more than a year. Its bad enough that i cant get hired, but how is it possible that of the 113 applications ive filled out, i havent gotten one call. I literally double check everything to make sure its right. Ive even applied to local jobs like tutoring and babysitting and summer camps and have high availability now bc its summer but nobody wants to hire me.

What is the best way to find a job in Dubai?

Do you want the truth? None of them. Unless of course your job profile is so unique that the employer cannot find or locate a person of your skill or calibre.Keep this much in mind - at the end of the day these Job Sites are in existence ONLY to make money. They do not care if you are the right candidate or if the client is happy - They are interested in making their money because they need to cover their expenses. And they exist to make money. So if you have the normal-run-of-the-mill job profile, then either you will never get called or if you do get called - they will employ you in droves - that is only if a company is starting from scratch (Hotel or Large Establishment). And over there - they will always go for the cheapest and best deals - which is why they normally employ people from Asia directly from agents. My suggestion to you is either check Gulf News or go through references. Thats it. And the ONLY way you will get a worthwhile job in the Middle East is through Contacts (or as they call VASTAA) in the Middle East. Please do not bank your hopes on Job Sites as 90% of all the jobs advertised are either Fake to collect Resumes for their Resume Bank or just to show the public that they have a massive demand for jobs. After all - they need to keep the ball rolling right?Loy Machedo
