Two laptops cant decide. $1500 mac vs. $500 pc?

Just don't see one or two good things of PC because the features and experience you will get from Macbook Air it is just amazing. Also as you are a student so it is perfect for you because of its portable size which you cannot get from a PC.

I would suggest a newest version of Macbook Air which is going really good in the market. And you will get this one in $1235 which is under your budget and here is a link of that laptop:

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook-MD761LL-13-3-Inch-VERSION/dp/B00746YTLY/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1374221850&sr=1-3&keywords=macbook+air&tag=hawmekm-20

This link shows it has really good features which include

Up to 12 Hours of Battery Life and OS X Mountain Lion
1.3 GHz Dual-Core 4th-Gen Intel Core i5 Processor (Turbo Boost up to 2.6 GHz ) for fast processing
13-Inch LED-backlit Display with 1440x900 Resolution and Intel HD Graphics 5000
802.11ac Wi-Fi
It has good storage with 256 GB Flash Storage and good multitasking through 4 GB 1600 MHz LPDDR3 Memory

So overall it is really superior one to go for. And if you want to know further about this laptop than here is a good comment from an actual user which will help you in your decision:

How do I decide between A Desktop and Laptop?

Mr.  Dilip's answer is meaning less. Don't worry will provide you with proper solution. I don't know if your total budget is 40k or you can add some more to it. But if you want to play games then keep your Vaio and get a desktop.  But the desktop should be assembled. Never buy branded like Alienware. The other option is to get a desktop, sell you Vaio and get a small convertible laptop/tablet.A desktop for 35 - 37k and Acer one 10 s1002 for 15K.Trust me a desktop for 35k can play most of the games on high settings. And you can do you college work on you acer convertible. It's a win win situation. Here is the link for acerhttps://www.flipkart.com/search?...Desktop configuration :Core i3500GB hddNvidia 7504 or 8gb ram22inch led monitor Cooler Master devastator gaming keyboard and mouse. Asus motherboard. This configuration is enough.I own 10 pc just for gaming. 4 laptops and 6 desktops. 1 Alienware M18x, 1 MSI gt780dxr, Sony Vaio F series, Lenovo y50, desktop with 980 Sli,  desktop with 630, Desktop with 650 synergy and another one with just 650 simple one, and two more. As you can see I own all kind of configuration therefore I know which is best for whom.  I have also used Sony Vaio e series with AMD graphics and it's not that good. Message me if you want to know the Complete configuration.

Apple VS Microsoft? I Cant Decide?

I have this laptop and its almost 3 years old, obviously its a microsoft one. Well I really want a mac, and i have sat and asked apple people questions left and right about macs. Well i think they just want the money. So now I came to you. I am a huge apple fan, with the Ipod and Ipad, but is a mac worth the 900$ ( yes , believe it or not I found one for that price)? Also how is it different from Microsoft? I want people who have macs to answer that, the next question is for people who have microsoft and went to mac. I really also like the Sony Viavo computer. Pros Cons? How much? Is it worth it? I really dont care about the gaming part, because the mac I want isnt supportable on games, so I have my old laptop for that, i dont really want to slow down my computer. My budget is 900$ Because I have to buy it. So no mean comments about anything I have because I work just as hard as you to get that stuff. Thank you 10 points best answer! DO NOT ANSWER THIS FOR THE POINTS

Cant decide on Asus laptop (lower level gaming)?

I'm consider buying an Asus laptop, however I am on a bit of a budget and have about 645$ to spend. the two models I am currently looking at are the Asus K55n-ds81 and the Asus x57a-DS51. it would be used mainly for light medium-lower level gaming and normal computer stuff( you tube, word, internet) nothing intense and i was wondering if either of the these computers could run Arma2 or Dayz at medium or low level graphics( preferably 30-50 fps if possible, or so its not really laggy or Skippy if you get what I mean). I dont know much about Laptops so help is appreciated, thank you for your time.

I can't decide if I need a 2-in1, laptop, or Chromebook for work. I currently use Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Adobe Creative Cloud to do my work. What would you suggest?

Cloud services such as Dropbox and Adobe Creative Cloud should work on a Chromebook providing there are no special Apps that have to be installed. Microsoft Office covers a wide spectrum of services and applications. Although a Chromebook does offer some spreadsheet, word and presentation facilities, Office offers a lot more facilities. You are probably thinking of Windows for your 2 in 1 versus laptop if you decide against the Chromebook. Although I am using a 2 in 1 Windows 8.1 PC at the moment I never use the touch screen. Touch screen operation within Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 are abysmal compared with an iPad or Android tablet. The extra complexity of having a detachable keyboard/touchpad on a 2 in 1 does not offer enough (or possibly any) benefits that justify the extra costs. If you want to try out Chrome OS, download CloudReady from Neverware and install and run it from a pendrive. It will be slower than a real Chromebook or a full installation of CloudReady on a Windows PC.

Want to buy a laptop - ci5, stuck between 2 Dell laptops - can't decide between 3rd Gen and 4th Gen? Please Help.

The next generation Intel processors are always better than the previous ones; the question is, are they worth the extra you have to fork out?Let us look at the statistics. Intel claims that the new Haswell processors (4th generation) are 6% faster (single and multi-threaded operations) than their predecessors, Ivy Bridge. The total increase in performance is about 3%, which may not seem as a huge deal. However, this time Intel concentrated on not only increasing performance, but also battery-life, which traditionally was neglected in favour of performance. And indeed, tests show significant strides in battery life extension. On one hand, when the system is tasked lightly like reading a PDF or working on a Word document, battery life may increase up to 2 hours. Tasks like browsing the Web will also consume slightly less power as compared to the 3rd Gen. On the other hand, heavy duty tasks which eat through the battery quickly have been shown to actually drain the battery faster than the older processors. It can be said that 4th generation processors will improve battery life depending on what you run on your laptop. Intel actually claims 50% better battery life. The 4th generation is really built for mobility. These processors can now manage to remain in idle for up to a week, pulling your email, social media updates and all that (i.e. for an OS like Windows 8), without breaking a sweat (much like your cell phone).Coming to your problem of selecting the model. This is quite a no-brainer, actually. If you can manage to get the Inspiron 15 for 500 USD, (which is a lot less than the 35k INR for Vostro), I suggest you go for the Inspiron. The Vostro series have traditionally been targeted toward small business establishments which cannot afford to spend money on unnecessary luxuries. In other words, it is cheaper than the Inspiron series while providing more or less the same specifications. Dell brings the costs down by making sacrifices like reducing battery life, removing customizing options like colours, lid designs, and also reducing support service to 12 hours a day,as opposed to Inspiron's 24-hour service. On the bright side, Vostro comes without most of the Nagware that comes with Inspiron. The bottom line is that if you can manage to get hold of an Inspiron with better features than the Vostro at a cheaper price, then all you have to do is shut your eyes and get the Inspiron. Thanks for the A2A.
