I Deleted All Cookies In Chrome And Now It Doesn

Why does Google Chrome take time to delete the cookies even when they expire?

Browser checks for expired cookies when a page is requested from that domain. If a cookie has expired, the browser does not send that particular cookie to the server with the page request, and deletes it.If a page has not been requested from that domain, the cookie will reside on your browser till it is overwritten by another cookie (happens when memory allocated for storing cookies gets used up ).

Can Chrome delete all history on shut down?

If you browse in Incognito Mode, Chrome won't even keep hostory in the first place. It also doesn't keep cookies or other temporary files. It's very useful for web development. You can get to it by clicking the Menu button, then clicking New Incognito Window.

How do I delete all cookies in JavaScript?

As far as I know there's no way to do a blanket delete of any cookie set on the domain. You can clear a cookie if you know the name and if the script is on the same domain as the cookie.You can set the value to empty and the expiration date to somewhere in the past:var mydate = new Date();mydate.setTime(mydate.getTime() - 1);document.cookie = "username=; expires=" + mydate.toGMTString();

What do you think of the fact that Chrome will not delete cookies created by google.com?

What do I think of it? I think it’s exactly the sort of behavior I expect from a company that makes money selling your personal information to others.Remember, you are not their customer; you are the product being sold. The fix is simple; Don’t use Chrome, and minimize your use of Google services.I use the default browser on my laptop and phone; it’s the second-most popular browser by market share, and the company that makes it doesn’t sell user data. On the contrary, they have what’s probably the most pro-user privacy policy of any major tech company.I’m happy to use that browser because it renders pages faster than Chrome, even while using fewer system resources (memory and CPU). It’s a no-compromise browser. In my opinion, it’s better than Chrome. For search, I use DuckDuckGo, which also has a strong commitment to user privacy. Unfortunately, it’s not yet a better search tool than Google. It serves most of my needs, but occasionally I use Google when I’m not happy with the results I get from DuckDuckGo. That’s easy, because if I just add !g to my search, DuckDuckGo does the search on Google, instead of using its own search results.

CCleaner messed up Google Chrome?

So, i ran CCleaner and it deleted the cookies, now i need to login my YouTube Account, but after i put my User name and Password it says in the site bar something like this: "http://www.youtube.com/loginXXXXXXXX-Ch... and does absolutely nothing for like30 seconds then this appears:
This webpage is not available
Google Chrome could not load the webpage because accounts.youtube.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

Please Help.

What about Google Chrome Incognito mode?

Incognito mode allows you to browse without any cookies, temporary internet files, or browsing history saved in Google Chrome. Google promotes it as useful for those instances you want to plan a secret trip for your spouse or make a surprise purchase without them known. However, it has obvious less than moral actions it will cover for as well.

"For times when you want to browse in stealth mode, for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Here's how the incognito mode works:

Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito aren't recorded in your browsing and download histories.
All new cookies are deleted after you close all incognito windows that you've opened."

However, though it doesn't save it in the browsing history, the web pages you've visited can be viewed on the Google Web Browsing History from your Personal Google Web Page. But that's a different topic.

Google Chrome won't delete history. Im screwed.?

So i just watched porn in my dad's pc and now i cant delete the history. Google Chrome won't effin delete browsing my freaking history. WHen i tried to clear it, it gets removed from the history page but the website still appears on the toolbar when i type the site in it. I tried to remove the sites individually, but still no luck, still the same. Screw this stupid google chrome. Now i dont know what to do sh*t

If I browse the internet at work on Google Chrome & delete the history after browsing, can my company still know?

Definitely yes,They can track each and every activity(related to network) you do on the system connected to the office’s LAN.Even non-network things if the computer is allotted by them.I am an under graduate CSE student. In our college the network administrator controls the internet access for each and every computer on the LAN. He can monitor each and every web page we visit. He can even trap the packets beeing transferred in the network.for example, we have about 3 labs dedicated for CSE department, ~2 for ECE and 1 for S & H. Each CSE department’s lab can efford ~120 systems. The ECE department have 30–35 systems. The S&H department's lab holdes ~120 computers. There will be an authentication portal for logging into internet. The Network administrator will allot login credentials for college faculty. Who cares, we know those credentials. We login. We surf the internet. We don't use VPN. We don't use proxy. We don't use any such things. We directly login to our social accounts. Will he track and punish us?No.Why?Monitoring such a great number of systems by a single person will be a burden. So, he don't. Of cource there will a lab incharge but, he will be busy in some other work. If not, we know when should we use and when should not.Think now, our collage is just a four staired building. What about your office? It is a Multi National Company. They ignore. But one thing, if they realize that crazy people like you and me do creepy things. They will start strict monitoring. That is why I am going anonymous. :p
