I Failed 2 Exams Chem And Maths And Got Really Bad Marks On My Other Subjects How Do I Tell My

I failed in two subjects (physics and chemistry) in my pre-boards. Is there any chance of me getting 95+ in my boards?

I won't advise anything.I will tell you a story,Story of a guy, who was busy in his own life spoiling the expectation of his parents and teachers, ( as he was exceptionally well in physics and was very good in Mathematics ) but he was always busy chatting to his girlfriend every single time except for sleeping and infront of his parents, he used to hide everything but suddenly everything was opened to his parents and some hoping teachers and they felt so disappointed and pushed away all the hopes they had for him, as he nearly failed in chemistry in pre-boards and physics & mathematics result was also not very well. He was really depressed. All was blur and diaphanous. He kept his phone aside and held the books too close and tight. ( Close and tight here refers to started working hard and made friends with PCM )He is me..!!I scored 92% percentage and still am disappointed as I missed 15 marks just of being slow in physics exam..!!It's all about determination because as for now you have a bulk of time left, I started from January end.All the best..!! Stay calm, make notes, work hard, be motivated and believe in yourself.

Today I got my CBSE class 11 final exam mark. I failed in chemistry and physics. Will I pass 11th?

Hi!First of all I would tell you not to get disheartened. In most of the cases where a student scores low marks or fails, it is either due to the incompatibility of the subjects they are pursuing with them or it is due to a faulty system of learning the subject that the student is following. We as an Educational Institution would recommend you to first have a career counselling thereby making sure that the subjects you are pursuing is actually suited to you or not. And if it is so we would recommend you and help you with the model of education that would best suited for you to retain information and knowledge. We invite you to attend our free counselling session with us. You can register at Free Trial and we will set up a session with you soon.

I failed my math and history exam...?

Just tell your parents, they will not blame you. Your parents will still love you. So just tell them what you got honestly and they'll understand you. For subjects like math and history, you'll always have to practice enough to score better. You're still young so you still have time to study prepare for.

IM FAILING CHEM AND MATH! HELP?

Before I get too deep into advice, let me first say that I can see how desperate you are becoming, especially when you mention the stress with your father and "feel like killing myself" (!!!). If that's really true, then please speak to a counselor. In fact, it sounds like you could use help dealing with the stress in any case.

It certainly seems like you're working hard enough, but "not getting it", particularly with the math and chem stuff. And all the hard work seems to be doing the same thing over and over. We call that "bashing your thumb with a hammer to see if it will hurt the next time, too." Your frustration is really that no matter how many hours you're spending, it's just not there when it comes to take the tests.

The best help with this is probably the tutoring -- and make sure you ask questions. Don't just nod and say, "Yep". Ask "why?" Try alternative solutions to see what works or doesn't. Make mistakes and learn.

Your record of marks shows you're struggling (in fact, if 67, 64, and 53 give an average of 74, I can see your math problem right away :) ). These are not high scores, definitely. And that's fine -- I can't skate or speak Tibetan, and I have a lousy jump shot. I can do some other stuff pretty well. Everybody's different. (Your dad is forgetting that, but he wants you to do well).

It would be great to be a pilot, but it does require a great deal of math competence. You don't need quadratic expressions, but you need to THINK in problem-solving ways, using computations, and that's exactly where your weakness shows. It's not just about working harder (you're doing that) but working smarter. Focus on understanding the material, not just doing repetitive exercises.

Ask your math tutor to give you navigation-related problems, or aviation-related problems, to help you get your head around the real-life applications. Drag co-efficients, storage tank volumes, weight to wing-span calculations, anything!

Same with chemistry. Problems involving cleaning fluids (bases? acids?) and properties of gas under pressure, for example.

Good luck. Things do get harder and harder as you go along ... the best way to beat that is to learn HOW to learn. Teachers (the good ones) and tutors (anybody who's getting paid) should be able to help you with that.

Hang in there. Per ardua ad astram. (Through adversity to the stars ... the motto of the RCAF)

HELP!!! If i fail in CBSE Class 11 , will i be allowed to repeat class 11 again?

Well, technically it WILL affect your future. It will be 1 year's lost earnings. You would work 1 year less in your lifetime. So the last year's income when you'll retire will be the loss as you'll work 1 year extra if you get promoted this year. Also, it would mean having people your age as your seniors in college and people younger than you as your classmates. I know these are not drastic effects but it depends on person to person.

Nobody looks at class XI result. The best option would be to change school. You'll certainly find a school which will take you. It doesn't matter if it is CBSE, state board or any other board. If you don't find one, I know this is illegal, but a friend of mine scanned and changed his XI marksheet, and gave the print out as a photocopy to another school which admitted him. Nobody checks that and he studied well from that point and scored good marks in XII.

Another option would be to study on your own for XII and concentrate solely on IIT.These days many schools, especially smaller ones and new ones would let you appear in exams without you having to attend classes. Just talk to every school in your city/surrounding city and you'll surely find some school willing to do this. You can also appear as a private candidate through open school, as a last resort.

If you don't want to do that, then your only option would be to repeat XI. But trust me, at your stage, school doesn't mean anything. Just crack the entrance and pass your XII with school or without school. It wouldn't matter once you are in college. You'll meet many students like yourself in college who would have completed their XIIth privately. But if you are ok with studying for additional year, it is your choice.

If I fail in one subject and pass the other 5 subjects in CBSE, will it be okay?

Absolutely O.K. The subject you failed wont even affect your percentage. Remember, all 5 of them should be full subjects. P.E. wont count. For example-1.Pass in Bio, Phy, Chem, Eng and Maths. Fail in Comp. Final result-Pass.2.Pass in Bio, Phy, Chem, P.E., English. Fail in maths. Final result-fail.Also, you will be disqualified for the fail subject. That means, you cannot claim admission in a university for the failed subject if you pass other subjects and pass overall.Second, you shall still be able to play professional sports and demand sports quota if you fail P.E. It simply does not count.Hope this helps.P.S.-Please check the facts about CBSE circulars properly before believing teachers blindly.

HSC subject selection?

Hey,
I am soon going to be selecting my subjects for my HSC. This is what i have so far:

Advanced English
Maths 2unit
Physics
Chemistry
Economics
P.E

That leaves me with 2 units to go. I don't have a particular career I wish to follow, but I am interested in the sports/science field. I'm trying to keep my options open. I would like to achieve a UAI of 90+ and try to minimize it to around the 75's.

So my questions are, is economics as hard a people claim it to be. I have a few friends telling me that economics is THE hardest test you'll do but it scales well. Perhaps should i opt for business studies, because I am aiming for 1 subject in the business area.

If I choose to go in the sporting scientist direction, will I need biology?

Is engineering studies a good subject?

I am in the higher classes in my year for all of my subjects. I don't seem to struggle in any of the classes and generally do well. I want to hopefully stick with these subjects throughout Year 11-12. I want to know which subjects scale well and which scale bad.

I'm open to all suggestions on any subjects

Any information regarding HSC/Subjects/Scaling/ UAI is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

I HAVE BAD GRADES AND I'M TOO SCARED TO TELL MY PARENTS?

I am very bad at math, chemistry, physics... the thing is that I am studying till midnight almost everyday.... I'm trying so hard to study better but it doesn't help...It's just that it;s not my thing and I don;t understan it....
because of stress I have bad grades from other subjects too..
I'm really scared to tell my parents about my grades.. I know that they are going to be reaaaally mad, they're going to scream at me.. and I don't like when people are screaming because I'm kind of sensitive and I can cry really bad.
I feel paranoid and I have anxiety.. I'm afraid to come back home from school, I'm afraid to talk with my parents because I feel like they're going to ask about school and I will die..
SOO PLEASE help and tell me what should I DO :(

Have you gotten 17-18 marks in physics or chemistry in the 12th CBSE and failed?

No. But I'll tell you my story. I appeared for my 12th CBSE board exams last year. I wrote my physics exam well, and nearly flunked the next exam. Chemistry. From what I've heard, evaluation becomes liberal for maths and physics but chemistry ? You should write according to the question. If you had referred last year’s chemistry paper, you would be knowing. Even 5 marks question had 5 parts wherein 1 mark would be awarded for each part (Just one keyword in each part). The questions were so direct. No steps involved. Which meant getting marks that I deserved. After the exam, I tried counting my marks. I couldn't make it up to 20. (I don't remember how much I scored but definitely it was such a small number that I thought my mark would make the biggest flop record). However I cried out my heart that day and from the next day onwards prepared for biology so hard. Before the results were out, I had told my parents about me flunking in chemistry. I even started searching for CBSE compartment exam dates. On the result publishing day, honest to God, I passed with decent marks. (I got 73 for chemistry which was my least score compared to the other subjects). To this day, I'm grateful to God and CBSE for not making me fail. And for your information, CBSE is a bunch of kind people. Even if you have scored 15+ marks, they will somehow make you pass. They don't just make students fail unless they have written nothing. Trust me, the evaluation will be lenient. No need to worry about something in which you have already passed. God bless. :)
