I Failed Chemistry My Sophomore Year Can I Just Take Physics My Junior Year To Meet Requirements

W/F (withdraw fail) from AP Chemistry junior year? Hope for college? help!?

I never should have taken this course to begin with.

Sophomore year I entered a science-obsession phase, got an A in a regular college prep chemistry course. For junior year I enrolled in AP Chemistry and the experience has been absolute hell for me. I repeatedly received C's and D's the first half of the year but kept through it because I thought if I worked harder, it wouldn't be so bad. I've encountered some stressful situations since (parents splitting up, moving, crap like that ect.) and I find it harder and harder to put in the work. I now have an F in the class and the date for withdrawal has looooong since past. I can still withdraw but have a "W/F" (withdraw/fail) show up on my transcript....

My other classes are going decently...
C+ in U.S. History
A in Precalc
B in French IV
B+ in Honors English

My weighted cumulative GPA for freshman/sophomore year was 3.6 (out of 5.0) and I was 54th in my class rank out of about 240. I've never been a "bad" student. But I have suffered tremendously from AP Chem and if I don't drop it, I am going to lose my mind and probably start getting even more declining grades in history (which have started to suffer).

Next year (senior year) I plan to take-
Economics
History & Hollywood
AP Statistics
Honors Physics
Calculus
AP English Lit

I'm also traveling to Africa this summer for three weeks on a service trip for impovershed kids that will bring me 60+ hours of community service.

I have not yet taken the SATs but am projected to get around 1800-2000 due to my previous PSAT scores.

I'm also involved heavily in the arts at my school and will have participated in 7 drama productions throughout high school by the time I graduate.

I NO LONGER want to go to college for ANYTHING science-related. I am looking to go to a liberal arts school to embark on a study course that I hope will culminate in a career in sound production and/or music management.

Given my records, experiences, and activities, will a W/F in AP Chem seriously affect any of these plans? If I know what I want to be doing in college, is it still going to be a huge problem with my admissions process? Am I going to end up in community college? Please offer any advice you can.....I'm starting to scare myself a little....

Which class should I take along with Organic Chemistry? Physics or Genetics?

Which Physics do you plan on taking? If Physics I, then I would take Genetics and Organic at the same time. If Physics II, I would take it and Organic. I thought Physics II was easier and a lot more intuitive, in my opinion.
Genetics isn't easy, but it isn't that hard either. Just a lot of thinking outside the box.
Biochemistry I and II were super easy when I took them, especially after taking Organic: just a bunch of memorizing random structures in biochemical pathways, like glycolysis, TCA cycle, gluconeogenesis, etc.
Remember, though, that when you go to apply for Med School, they will not only look at the grades you got in your classes, but will also assess your schedule as well i.e. they don't look too well on you doing really well in a class if you take a course load like Organic and then some filler classes like Walk, Jog, Run or Volleyball (or other typical "easy A" classes). They want to see you to 1) be able to handle a heavy course load and 2) do well when you are put under the stress and pressure of a heavy course load.

I failed a class my junior year in high school? What does this mean for my future?

It's not the end of the world if you fail a class in high school. What I would recommend is taking a Geometry class at your local community college so that you "make up" the grade, most ideally during summer vacation. I had the exact same situation as you in high school, except my failing grade was in Chemistry. I had always preferred Biology and Physiology over Physics and Chem, but I had to take one year of physical science to get into college, and frankly, my Chem teacher was a b*tch. I worked with my dad for three hours every single night on the homework and still didn't pass her class. So the next summer, I took an Intro to Chem course at my local community college, and something I realized was that at CC, the professors are A) more reasonable, B) more organized, and C) are more willing to help you if you go to them with questions. I got a B in my summer Chem class, got into my dream college, and actually recently just graduated. What I'd suggest is having a chat with your high school counselor and your parents to find out which class you should take over summer that would be the equivalent of your school's Geometry class, and sign up for it. Another advantage to taking it over summer is that you won't have any other classes to worry about, so you can focus just on your geometry course.

When should I take organic chemistry?

I am a sophomore in college, and I want to have my Bachelors in Biology in two more years. I took my 8 hours of Gen Bio my freshman year, and I'm about to finish my Gen Chem I credit. Next semester I'm taking the the second part of Gen Chem and the first part of Physics. I am wondering if, I should take Organic Chemistry I and Physics II the fall of my junior year? By the way I'm trying to take the MCAT and I would really like to take it Spring of my junior year, but by then I will only have one part of the Organic Chemistry. Would you recommend I still take the MCAT?

Should I do online schooling for my sophomore year?

So I'm fifteen, and I live in the state of Texas. Currently a freshman in high school, and I've already planned on graduating right after Junior year.
My district requires 26 credits, in order to graduate.
4 math, 4 science, 4 english, 4 social studies, 1 PE, 2 yrs of languages, 1 fine arts, 1 health/speech, and 5 electives.

9th grade(now): Health/speech, geometry, french 1, world geography, english 1, art 1, biology.
This summer: Journalism, and chemistry
10th grade: english 2, algebra 2, world history, french 2, physics, art 2, volleyball.
Next summer: english 3, french 3, U.S. History
11th grade: english 4, pre cal, floral design, gov/econ, psy/sociology, anatomy, volleyball.

Equals to the required amount... but, I was just curious as to see if I could take my sophomore year online.

so it'd be

9th grade(now): Health/speech, geometry, french 1, world geography, english 1, art 1, biology.
This summer: Journalism, and chemistry

ONLINE SCHOOL: english 2, algebra 2, world history, french 2, physics, art 2, algebra 1 .english 3, french 3, U.S. History

11th grade: english 4, pre cal, floral design, gov/econ, psy/sociology, anatomy, PE.

I have personal reasons on graduating early. But tbh, what I'm really worried about is, will colleges or universities still accept me if I do online schooling? And does this sound like a good plan?
I plan on applying to Baylor University, and attending their Pre-pharm program in 2016.

Or should I just do the 2 more years in public school..?
