I Get Real Sad And Stress When I

Why do I shave my head whenever I get stressed?

obsessive compulsive disorder
commonly characterized by intrusive, repetitive thoughts resulting in compulsive behaviors and mental acts that the person feels driven to perform, according to rules that must be applied rigidly, aimed at preventing some imagined dreaded event. In severe cases, it affects a person's ability to function in every day activities. The disorder is often debilitating to the sufferer's quality of life. Also, the psychological self-awareness of the irrationality of the disorder can be painful. For people with severe OCD, it may take several hours a day to carry out the compulsive acts.

Experts believe OCD is related to levels of a normal chemical in the brain called serotonin. When the proper flow of serotonin is blocked, the brain's "alarm system" overreacts. Danger messages are mistakenly triggered. Instead of the brain filtering out these unnecessary thoughts, the brain dwells on them—and the person repeatedly experiences unrealistic fears and doubts.

hope this helps

What do you do when you are stressed, anxious & depressed (SAD)?

I start enjoying my loneliness because once I know that it is inevitable I start thinking how to use my stressed, anxious & depressed mind.First of all I go to Barber shop and take a Head Massage with some fragrant Navratan Or Bhirngraj hair Oil. If I have no money I start massaging my head of my ownThen I take some sweats and if I have no money I eat toffees or chocolates. Then I take some desired soft drinks If have less money then I drink tea or if have no money I prepare some tea my self at home may be a black tea. Then I take a bath with Luke warm water and get ready as I am going to some cheerful party. Then I come out of myself and start taking a walk around some park or at places where I get some innocence small kids playing balls or flying disk etc.If I get chance I participate with them and make them learn how to play better.I talk to them and try to find out answers of my many questions which even an adult can’t reply. such kids are full of energy and strength and they give a meaning to life and meaning to survival.I return home and in my loneliness I write poetry and if mind get distracted I do art of any kind and never think to do finishing. Because Arts & poetry are the real exploration of your mind. I give finishing when I get stable. What I never do is never take any thing which may cause addiction in future like consumption of alcohol or drugs or any thing else.

What do you do when you get depressed and stressed?

Recognize that you are experiencing the depression and the stress,But who you are is not depressed and stressed. These are not qualities of what you are, because you are not a personality. You are not a personality of a body-mind-persona, because you are the presence of the Awareness that knows and perceives these experiences. You are the watcher of the experience and are not defined or limited by the experience. This can be difficult to realize while experiencing a depression or stressed state, but it is possible and within your capabilities.Sit quietly and feel how you feel. That means bring your attention to your heart and to the sensations in your body. Pay attention to these sensations. A feeling is a sensation + the story that your personality has given it. Without the story, it is just a sensation. Feel the sensation of the depression or the stress. Feel it by paying attention to it. If your awareness notices the mind thinking or talking to itself, just bring your attention back to the sensation. Sit with the sensation without trying to change it. As you sit with it, it will gradually become familiar to you and you will become desensitized to its entanglement with the story. At a certain point, you may find clarity and the story with which it has been attached can be analyzed. As you see that the story does not make sense, when you look back at the sensation, it will have changed, be gone, or won’t matter so much anymore. In combination with this, while feeling that state, ask yourself, “Am I aware?” Before you can find the answer, your mind will have to stop and your Awareness will have to look in order to check if you are Aware, then the mind will start back up again in order to provide the answer. In that subtle moment of checking, pay attention and you will notice that there is a silent presence that becomes evident when Awareness looks for itself. This is the essential practice of being self-aware. Practice maintaining that state all throughout the day, and gradually your ability to hold it will expand. Practice while experiencing stress or depression and you can witness the experience without being confused into thinking you are defined or limited by it. Practice observing while being aware of the observing and feeling the experience and it will suddenly disappear, because it is a fabricated illusion of the personality, thinking it has a problem, and thus making itself into the problem.

What will you do when you feel sad and stress?

There are many ways to de-stress. Here are a few I use. Turn off the lights and light a few scented candles, put on some soft music, daydream about places on the beach, burn some incense, read a meditation book and/or the bible (1st.Cor. 13), write how you are feeling in a personal journal, take a long walk and lighten up on yourself about your studies and a personal favorite, sponser a child from a foreign country. Hope this helps and remember, "this too shall pass".

Why do I get stressed so easily and how do I prevent it?

Start you day with Forgiveness & Gratitude; it is the best thing to do and most importantly forgive yourself for everything and be thankful. It really helps, we keep on beating our self for so many small things like for not waking up on time or missing some work (in my case), don't stress too much, just do the work and make your comfortable routine, forgive yourself and act.Feel the abundance; it's all in mind, just feel it. I suggest to read books like The secret and The power of sub-conscious mind, you understand the law of attraction.Don't take things; and 'importantly yourself' too seriously and forget about other's, (if they make you stressed) just don't give much damn to what people say and think, choose you mentors, ask them when in doubt and leave the crowd.

How do I reduce the urge of masturbating when I am stressed/sad/lonely?

The following is copied from a site. You can go through this and I have shared an article at the end, written by my friend. I suggest you to talk to a counselor nearby or online at YourDOST - An Emotional Support SystemI'd like to begin by saying that masturbation is a perfectly normal and healthy exercise. Experts believe that there's no number when it comes to a healthy masturbation habit. However often you masturbate, it's not a problem till it starts affecting your life in negative ways. Since, you're finding it difficult to concentrate on other things, it indicates that you're dealing with a problem behavior here. So if you have a problem, there are two ways to address it.1. Cutting yourself off 'cold turkey', which means to stop masturbating altogether for a few days or weeks untill you find yourself able to concentrate on other things. Then you can gradually restart masturbation in moderation.2. The 'harm reduction method'. This method involves deliberately reducing the number of times one masturbates. Every time you feel a strong urge, go for something else you find enjoyable, like reading a sports magazine, watching your favorite program on T.V or eating a snack, etc. Some other helpful tips are:1. Empty your bladder often. A full bladder may lead to sexual stimulation.2. Increase your level of physical activity.3. Strictly reduce watching pornographic materialLastly, tell yourself that you can reduce it. It's not a disease. If you're determined, you can gain back control of your mind. All the best!P.S: Here is an article by my friend Sabu John on Masturbation.Masturbation – Is It Normal?

Why do we feel stress?

Hi Friend,Stress is such a common thing in our lives. Some call it lifestyle issues, some call it something else.I have been reading a Mystic of our times, Acharya Prashant and the way he explained the relation of Stress with a life deprived of the pull of the Heart, was incredible. Please allow me to share an excerpt from one of his books:If something is continuously there in the mind, it is circulating in the form of the thought, then rest assured that there is something that you are resisting. Either you are doing something per force or there is something that needs to be done, but you are not doing it per force.Only these two options are there, nothing else. You have the solutions. Just do not resist the solutions. It is that simple. There will be side-effects. Take them, nothing will happen. It is guaranteed that there will be side-effects. Somebody will say something, somebody will take away something, you may lose some money, somebody may get upset. These things will happen but take the side-effects. It is worth it.Living by the Heart is always worth it, whatever be the side-effects, whatever be the price you have to pay.Q. Is it right to say, “The life of an average human is the result of the force between the Heart and the mind”?Acharya Prashant: Beautifully said! And that is why there is always some tension. One thing pulls you in one direction; another thing pulls you in another direction. The result is tension. Now do you know that why our lives are infested with stress? Now do you understand what is ‘stress’?Stress is – mind versus mind, mind versus Heart.Don’t you want to recover? When you open the television, do you see Health? Or you see the same game of ambition, loot, fear, insecurity, competitiveness, greed, jealousy, possessiveness? What do you see? And do you want to participate in all that?It is extremely important to realize that we live in an extremely sick world. When life gives you opportunities, take them. If you come to a small oasis of Health, take shelter there. It is a barren desert of sickness. A small oasis is a very-very fortunate place. If you by-chance come to it, thank God for it, and stay put. Such a chance may not come again to you.*Remain associated. From the book 'The Beautiful Heart' by Acharya Prashant'Visit: Advait Publications

Why do I feel stressed with no reason behind?

My apologies for the delay. For starters, feeling stressed for no apparent reason is generally considered anxiety. Stress usually has identifiable things that set you off. Some considerations:Are you safe? Are you in a healthy, supportive environment most of the time? Sometimes we think nothing is specifically triggering our stress but don’t realize that our lifestyles and relationships are toxic or otherwise draining. Are you physically healthy? Eating well, sleeping well? Exercising? Poor health can create or exacerbate stress.Have you had your blood work done recently? Hormonal and neurochemical imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental or food allergies, sensitivities, or toxicities can cause anxiety. What is your schedule like? Are you maxed or beyond? Do you get and take down-time? What can you do to switch up your schedule? Some of us are just more anxious than others. You may fit in here. If it has become life-interfering, you may be describing an anxiety disorder. The most common mental health disorders that can create anxiety without an obvious or immediate causal agent include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), and acute or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but the one that might best fit your brief description is called generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).From the generalized anxiety article above: People with the disorder, which is also referred to as GAD, experience excessive anxiety and worry, often expecting the worst even when there is no apparent reason for concern. They anticipate disaster and may be overly concerned about money, health, family, work, or other issues. Here is an overview on (conventional) treatments for anxiety disorders: https://www.adaa.org/sites/defau...I hope this is helpful. Feel free to write back if you have more questions, or you might find help in some of my other answers. :)8/3/17 edited for clarity

If I am just sad a lot does it mean I'm depressed?

I'm taking Psychology in school and we just learned about Depression.

To actually be considered depression it must last at least 2 weeks and have some of the fallowing symptoms:
You will probably find that your eating a lot more or barely eating.
You will feel almost no motivation to do anything.
You'll probably feel Low Energy.
If you are depressed you will feel worthless or guilty.

Remember to be considered an anxiety it must interfere with your everyday life. Such as a person scared of dogs if they see one in there path will change there path and go the long way just to avoid the dog. Or a person that is scared of elevators but has to got up to the 24 floor will do anything to avoid the elevator and walk up all those steps.

Personally I think your just a teenager. I think your suffering more from not feeling accepted than actually being depressed or a social anxiety. Don't worry. I was there once too. I felt like no one liked me or that I was never actually going to get any trust worthy friends. But I have. I'm finally getting accepted by my peers and I don't feel lonely anymore. So just keep the strength and keep moving forward because once you graduate even though it is some time away you may never have to deal with these people again and will have a chance to actually be accepted for who you are and not what people want you to be. Try finding acceptance through academics and books. I know it sounds lame but I found that some of my bestfriends when I was in 7th grade to 10th grade were characters in books because they would never judge me and felt the way I did. So good luck! By the way I'm 17 so I do actually know some of what you are going through.

Whenever I'm alone I get depressed?

That is a major symptom of Borderline Personality Disorder. The symptoms of BPD are:
- Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment
- A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation
- Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self
- Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating)
- Recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior
- Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days)
- Chronic feelings of emptiness
- Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights)
- Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms

However it is more likely that you are actually already depressed, and being alone gives you time to reflect on it, where as being around people means you are distracted and don't have to think about it. Or maybe you get lonely very easily. Talk to someone you trust and see your GP if this problem is getting in the way of your life. Take care xx
