I Got A 2.2 At A Top University Im Struggling To Get A Job Any Advice

I have a 2.8 GPA in college, can I transfer to a University?

It's always a good idea to try to get your GPA up before transferring! Remember that there are all different kinds of factors that Admissions Officers consider when they review an application. Yes, they'll look at your transcript and see your grades, your GPA, your test scores, but they'll also read your admissions essay and pay close attention to your goals, your resume, your letters of recommendations from professors and they might want to interview you to see if you'll be a good fit for their university (vice versa).

If there's a reason why you have a lower GPA than you'd like (for example, perhaps you were enrolled in the community college's "Education" program, when really you figured out that you want to study "Criminal Justice"), then you can explain all of that in the college admissions essay. Trust me - it's not ALL about grades -- it's really about ambition, motivational drive, dedication and passion for your field of study or learning in general.

Here's a link to some really good articles written by college counselors about what they look for in an applicant: http://www.unigo.com/featured/counselors/

If you're unhappy at the community college, it's best to transfer sooner than later because you want your college experience to be the best it can be -- Don't worry about staying there long enough JUST to get your GPA up... You're GPA will be higher when you're happier with your learning experience.

I keep having constant health problems, advice?

I just don't know whats wrong with me. I wanted to make sure I gave all the symptoms. I work at a job on a computer, and I'm on the phone about 3/4 of time, sometimes more. I really really dislike my job. I am always tired. I keeping having really bad sinus headaches and normal headaches. It's hard for me to even get myself out of bed. I can't explain it but my body is always achy. I sit down all day for a living, so this makes no sense to me. I get frequent stomach aches. I think all of this may be due to the fact I can't see as well as I used to be able to. I have a hard time reading things my boyfriend can read with ease, like signs and such. I have been missing work because I feel so sick sometimes.

I do have a rare enzyme deficiency called Fabry's, a small heart problem (doctor said it was no problem that was a couple years ago), and I did have childhood leukemia. Bad health issues run in my family. I'm almost afraid to go to a doctor. I don't want to be sick, and I have no health insurance. Any advice on either going to a doctor or my symptoms? Really any good advice is appreciated.

Should I stay in school long enough to raise my gpa above a 3.0 or should I focus on & begin studying GRE?

I have 81 credits right now with a 2.2 average, after this semester I will have 90 credits and 2.35 gpa. I have struggled with school because of medical issues. I transferred from a two year institution to a highly competitive 4 year university. My first two semesters I did not do the best of my ability. I received a few As but also accumulated a handful of Ds, thankfully no Fs but the Ds are just as bad. I'm doing really well because I am part time, taking only 3 courses this semester and anticipate Nothing less than an A. ,I plan on graduating May 2013 but if I do, there's no way my gpa will be above a 3.0 unless I retake the courses I got Ds in. If I retake those courses, I will have to stay an additional semester and I won't graduate until I'm 24. I need advice, is it worth staying an extra semester to raise my gpa? Or should I be channeling all my energy on the GREs? Do I have a chance at getting into a good graduate program with out retaking those courses?
