What is a Google verification code?
Verification codes from Google (and other online platforms that allow you to integrate a domain, like Facebook, for example) is just a long string of characters that would be impossible to guess. Once you’ve posted the code, you can ask Google to go look for it through Google Search Console. If it finds the code and it matches, you become a verified owner of the domain.
I didn't sign up for SMS Verification and yet got a verification code. What do I do?
Maybe someone has used your phone number for their email's verification by mistake. Check your account settings if you have added any of phone verification methods, If not then no need to worry. make sure to change your password and maybe set up a very hard security question or a 2 step authentication.
Why did I get a Google verification code I didn't request?

I just keep getting texts from phone number that says imo veirfication code. Tell me where did that come from. Verification code email not receiving?
Yahoo will used your secondary email address as alias. It cannot be used as Alternative email address. You need a difference alternative email address for example; Hotmail or Gmail or your ISP email account for Yahoo only way of Contacting you. I think you need to change your Alternative email address by going to your Account information profile page.
