Can I eat chicken after surgery?

I can’t say.Did you survive the surgery? Are you conscious? Are you a vegetarian? Can you catch the chicken?OK more seriously, it is going to depend on how major the surgery was and how long ago it was- hours, days, weeks, years?Speaking personally, I had a knee rebuilt under general aesthetic following a ski accident. Not trivial surgery, but not the most serious either. I couldn’t keep anything other than water down for about 18 hours after waking up.I was simply told ‘eat normally when you feel you can’,but it is clearly something you should ask about before your surgery. Clearly if the surgery is to the mouth, stomach or digestive tract, there is more likely to be restriction on what and how you eat.

What is the funniest thing u seen a tourist do in GREECE!?

This is something which I did when I was in Aegena
as a 'tourist' although I hate to think of myself as such
if I am in Greece or one of the islands.
Anyway, I was waiting for a bus and sitting next to me was
an elderly man who struck up conversation with me in broken
English. He asked if I understood or spoke Greek and I don't
know what possessed me but I said 'no' We continued talking,
he in broken English and me in my Queen's English, lol!
After a while I asked him if he could tell me what 'malaka' meant
as I kept hearing everyone use it. "no good" he said. I insisted that
he explain so with various hand movements and actions he tried to
tell me that it's what the boys do when they don't have a girlfriend.
He then called a friend of his over and told him what I had asked so
he too tried to explain. By this time I was in fits. I let them both finish
and then thanked them very much in Greek! Needless to say they both
thought it was very funny especially when I confessed to having understood
everything they had been saying!

@ Christophoros,
Are you sure that it wasn't Greek Cigar?

@ Min. wish you would ask questions more often,

What are some ideas beyond the traditional sausages and steak on the bbq?

Kochie!!!

#1 - For me, and I know this is a stigma for some, but SHRIMPS (lol prawns thank you) taste amazing on the barbie- especially loaded up with a puree of olive oil, chilli, garlic and lemon juice, I skewer them and peel the skin but leave the tails on for presentation.

#2 - Breakfast on the barbie- perfect holiday hangover cure. Cut some capsicums into 1 inch rings. Place on the barbie and crack an egg into the center of each. Some ultra thin strips of streaky bacon, and some thick slices of turkish brushed with olive oil , salt and rosemary on the grill side. Served with bbq sauce!

#3 Portuguese flattened chicken - brine the chix overnight in salt water. Then before you marinade, pour a kettle of hot water over. Pierce the skin with a prong. Marinade in red pepper pesto, garlic, chilli and lemon. Grill that on low heat until cooked.

What happens when a vegetarian eats meat for the first time?

I think I can answer this: It’s somewhat life-changing.My mother became a lacto-ovo vegetarian in her teens, and so I was conceived and raised without meat. I subconsciously skip meat on menus and at the store. It’s just never been a part of my natural life. In fact, I can immediately tell if there’s meat in a dish due to the very unfamiliar flavors and textures.I was in my teens when I worked in fast food. I took maybe ten nibbles of meat and didn’t understand the appeal. (I mean, I had to cook chicken so I never ate that. It literally looks like a hairless, headless bird when you cook it! Then it gets chopped up and you feel the bones and sinew rip apart— but, I digress.)My first ‘authentic’ taste of meat occurred in my mid-twenties. It was filet Mignon at a fancy fondue place, and I ate a few solid bites. Here’s what went down:Blood. It tastes like blood, end of story.Flatulence. Embarrassing, never-before-experienced eruptions of mostly odorless gas from a place in my bowels I did not realize existed until that very moment.Energy. Not the kind I get from soda or coffee, but a tranquil sort of energy that sustained throughout the evening. That’s it. Over the next several years, I’ve had a few more bites of steak and fish. This morning, I ate a bite of my roommate’s steak. I feel that silent strength right now, and so here I am. I say it’s ‘life-changing’ because it alters the way I feel when I eat it, like a drug I never knew I needed.I’ve suffered from weight loss, depression, anxiety, and fatigue for 33 years, and today I just feel better.(This is my first post/reply, so please let me know how I’m doing.)Update: Thanks for being so welcoming, Quora! I never expected to get this kind of feedback!
