I Had A Heart Problem In The Past Which Occurred About 4 Years Ago Everything Has Been Fine Since

I'm 26 years old and I've been experiencing mild chest pain frequently for the past 2 months. Is this an indication of a heart attack?

The original question is:I'm 26 years old and I've been  experiencing mild chest pain frequently for the past 2 months. Is this  an indication of a heart attack?Answer:Chest pain (angina) could be an indication of coronary insufficiency (insufficient blood flow through one or more of the heart's arteries), which could lead to a heart attack. You should see a doctor as soon as possible. If treated early it can be prevented from becoming catastrophic by medication or a medical procedure. It happened to me and as a result I had a heart attack, lost 40% of my heart's capacity, and had to have triple bypass operation. All of that could have been prevented if only I had seen my doctor at the first sign.

I'm 16 years old and think I have a serious heart problem!?

Your symptoms could easily be from panic/anxiety disorder, and people telling you to relax and calm down, will not help you.

They also could be from an irregular heartbeat. Here's my experience:

One day I woke up with my heart feeling all jumpy and quivery, I was sweating, short of breath, dizzy, and anxious. Turns out I was experiencing an episode of atrial fibrillation. Which made me start having panic attacks over the worry that I was having a heart attack.

After educating myself on A. Fib, I realized that while this is really really scary while it's happening, it's mostly a benign condition, that's just inconvenient.

Some people stay in A. Fib, continuously, and never have a normal rhythm, and they live long lives.

You had an abnormal EKG, find out what was abnormal about it. Don't be afraid to ask questions to your doc. The more you know, the less scared you will be.

Edit: I totally missed the Atenolol - you could be experiencing side effects from starting this drug too.

They call it Panic/Anxiety disorder because it just comes on for no reason at all, you could be sitting outside relaxing and have a panic attack.

Scared of having a heart attack 16 years old?

Hi everyone
I'm 16 years old male not overweight, people say that i am too thin but i do eat alot
I'm having slight pain in the heart area since more than two weeks . It happened before like 4 months ago but now it's back. It comes and goes (not the whole day). The thing that is good about it is that when I'm busy and having fun it doesn't usually come (the pain) but at some times of the day i feel pain in the heart area so i really get depressed and i start searching on the web for what can cause heart attack and sometimes i feel pain in my left arm but as i said it's slight pain.
What can it be?? I am sporty guy since i was young, i play football and i can run for many kilometers without getting tired or getting pain in the chest
Can it be muscle strain? because i bike to school but on the way home the road is going up (i don't know how to explain it) and i carry a heavy bag.. so i also had pain at the lower back and shoulders but they are gone
I have heart murmur and in about two weeks the doctor will check my heart by echocardiogram
I really get too worried about my health that's why the thought of getting a heart attack is always in my head
and you know everybody wants to live a normal healthy life
so please advice me
and thanks

What are the chances of a 19-20 year old getting heart attack?

You're not going to have a heart attack because of two months of bad food, unless your father and grandfather also died of heart attacks at a very early age.  You probably know this already. You will die of a heart attack faster / younger than your healthy-eating peers, but it will take a while--like 50 instead of 70, or 70 instead of 90.You will be much more likely to get Type2 diabetes, which increases your heart attack risk, as a result of your lifestyle choices. In all of the "lifestyle" diseases, you have a buffer--20 years or so, depending on what your parents and grandparents gave you in the genetic lottery--of "good" health, before the macaroni hits the fan.  The hard part is realizing when you're 20 how close 40 actually is.  Many of us on the high side of 40 rather wish we'd understood those years & choices differently.Good luck.

Can a 15 year old have a Heart Attack?

I know this might be a really ridiculous question, but I recently had some sort of anxiety/panic attack (chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, etc.) and ever since that I had some sort of fear of having a heart attack.

Again I know it's pretty ridiculous. Anways, I'm 15 years old, I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs (of course). I am overweight, but I play lots of sports. I occasionally eat fast food when I need to eat a quick dinner or something, but not often. I usually eat homemade meals mostly healthy.

I know I can't get a heart attack, but my family has a record of Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and I think Heart Problems. All I was wondering was if it was possible for me to get a heart attack at my age. I was also wondering if you guys have any advice for those anxiety/panic attacks.

Thanks! :D

Can a 19 year old have heart disease?

Yes but is not as common as say the 50+ age bracket.

I had problems with palpitations of the heart when I was 18/19 years old. I had to have ECG's, and consultations with the doctor/cardiologist. I even went to hospital on one occasion because I had got myself into a panic!

So yes, you can have disease or problems of your heart at any age. But it is more common in the older patient due to lifestyle issues such as wrong diet and lack of excercise, such as coronary heart disease etc

So don't go worrying! If your an in shape muscular built 19 year old, then your doing great! Hope this helps?

If you could tell your ex one last thing, what would you say?

I am really thankful to you for teaching me some of the finest lessons of my life. You taught me how great I look. It was you who made me feel wonderful. After meeting you I realised that “Beauty is not how you look. It's about how you represent yourself.”It was the relationship with you that taught me that sex is not a necessity in any relationship. Your relationship can survive without even hugs. We never hugged or kissed each other, still we were together. It was you who taught me that looking in your partner's eyes is the sexiest gesture you can pull off. It's amazing gazing continuously in the eyes of your loved one and talking to each other, without uttering a word.It was you who taught me that you should be ready to make some extra efforts to make a relationship interesting. From love letters that we passed secretly to phone calls that we made even after knowing the worst outcomes, I remember everything. Finally, it was you who taught me that if you want to stay happy in life, learn to detach yourself from the people who are gone. Thanks once again for the most important lesson of my life. You left, and I cried for days. I waited for you, for months. But, you didn't appear. And when I heard about you after a long, it was about your engagement. But, by then, I was emotionally stable. I just smirked. That's it. I didn't laugh. I didn't cry either.Your absence made me stronger. I hated you for few months initially. But, then I placed you as one of the most beautiful parts of my life. I don't hate you anymore. You were amazing. I respect you, still, for all the love and care that you showered on me.I had many questions for you. But, I don't want answers anymore. Some questions are better unanswered. Some paths are better unwalked.Thank You. May God Bless You, And Your Husband.
