What’s the third picture on your phone? How does it depict what’s going on in your life right now?
This is my current knitting project:I am knitting a wool hat (the yarn is hand dyed in various shades of purple thanks to Ariella at Jennifer Knits - Jennifer Knits).The reason I began knitting was because it is a great distraction from physical pain, and the process of knitting feels meditative and soothing. I'm not taking any pain meds now, and I am exercising and walking three times daily following a revision of my left hip.I needed and had left hip revision surgery on November 8 because I was hit by a car making an illegal (prohibited) turn more than a year ago, on January 10, 2016. That traffic accident fractured my pelvic bone and caused my left hip prosthesis to dislodge inside of me. They couldn't fix the hip until my pelvic bone healed. The pain is and has been excruciating and I often writhe in pain.I just finished making and mailed a cashmere double cowl in blues and grays for my sister in law, who is having her own medical issues; and I just finished a green sweater for my daughter.The hat in this photo is for me. It is pouring and cold in LA today. I'm wearing my only wool sweater (red), and purple Five Toe Socks with my white flip flops. Quite a sight! I know the addition of this hat to my outfit will seal my winter wardrobe with a warmth I will really appreciate. I can keep the heat off, once the hat is finished. — Can't wait!
