Why do the tiffany & co necklaces and bracelets say "please return to tiffany and co" and there is a number?

it's just part of their line

i think the concept is REALLY cute personaly =)

"The Necklace" Short story, need new ending?

I think the woman who lost the necklace gets herself a lawyer. They sue the woman with the necklace, claiming that the fake one was replaced by a real one & now they want the real necklace back. The necklace is returned & sold. The woman who lost the necklace now has a fortune & she lives the rest of her life in comfort & luxury.

Does Aragorn ever lose Arwen's necklace?

I was watching Return of the King today and noticed Aragorn was wearing Arwen's necklace. It seems like he lost it or dropped it in The Two Towers...? I'm not sure, maybe I had a really vivid dream that he lost it, I don't know. Help?

Is it rude to return a diamond necklace to an ex boyfriend after a breakup?

I think it's a mixed bag. On one hand, there's an implication of "I don't even want to remember the relationship." I would be rather hurt by that. I tend to be sentimental about that sort of thing. Yeah the relationship ended, but it's a part of us. I want to remember it, and knowing she doesn't would make me feel bad. But that's me, and my emotions aren't necessarily the ones that matter in that choice, and there's no reason to assume other guys would feel the way I would. In another respect it could be the polite thing to do. You're giving him the opportunity to sell it, as opposed to doing so yourself. It's very generous.Perhaps offering to return it, as Madeleine said, gives you the best of both worlds. If he'd like to have it back, he can say yes. Or he can say "no, I want you to keep it."

Do you return gifts from your ex when you break up?

The NICE thing to do would be to ask him if he wants them back. Although, a gift is a gift and if he is'nt a jerk, he would just tell you to keep them. If you guys were serious and dated for years, i dont believe he will ask for them back.

On the other hand, if you guys were just a fling and nothing too serious, he might want them back if they were fairly expensive compared to the kind of money he makes!

Why did no dwarf or elf dare to rob the Necklace of the Dwarves from Lúthien?

This is Sauron, the Dark Lord, feared by everyone in Middle-earth at the time of Lord of the Rings: Lúthien, with the help of her dog Huan, kicked his ass.And this is Morgoth, the spirit of Evil, Middle-earth's equivalent of Satan. He was mighty enough to face down all the other Valar put together on equal terms. He could raise mountains and overturn continents. He ate elf-lords for breakfast. Lúthien humiliated him in his own home, overpowered him with her magic and took his most valued possession. And this is Námo, Lord of Mandos, the Doomsman of the Valar. Unpitying, inexorable, feared by moral and immortal alike. Lúthien made him cry like a little boy and grant her heart's desire, something that nobody else has ever done, before or since. And this is God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth:Lúthien persuaded him to bring her lover Beren back from the dead, which was impossible: and to grant her, an elf, mortality, which was also impossible. Only Eru Ilúvatar can do the impossible, since He's omnipotent. So: given that Sauron, Morgoth, Mandos and even Eru himself all failed to oppose Lúthien's will, what possible chance did the Sons of Fëanor have? They might have been oath-sworn and doomed by fate, but they weren't stupid...

At the end of Titanic, why does Rose throw away the necklace?

It's the whole reason she went to the boat in the first place. If you think about it, why would Rose, a woman of advanced age and delicate health, take such a physically demanding journey to a ship in the middle of the ocean, just to tell a long, rambling story that she could have told over the phone, or on the mainland had the crew gone to visit her instead? She wanted to go to the Keldysh because the vessel was over the Titanic's resting place. She told the story because it was a central, defining chapter of her life that deserved to be heard. And Jack's sacrifice, and his place in her life, deserved to be honored. So she told them the story in all its heartbreaking detail, in the most appropriate place in the world for it, the place where he gave his life for her. Then she did what she came to do. She returned the necklace to the ocean. This was done for a few reasons. One, it reveals to the audience that Rose still had the necklace with her all this time, instead of using it—cashing it in—to start her new life in America as an otherwise penniless immigrant. She couldn't use her real name or anything from her previous life, or her fiance would have found her and dragged her back into that prearranged marriage. The fact that she still had the necklace meant that she built her life in America from nothing, and that it meant too much to her to let go of. This says a great deal more about how strong Rose had become.Secondly, it shows that she has loved Jack all her life, even through future marriages. She's given that place in her heart to Jack for all time. She's never forgotten him or what he did for her. Finally, she's letting Jack go. By dropping the necklace in the ocean, she's ensuring no one else ever finds it, essentially giving it to Jack's memory forever. That's the true reason she went all the way out to the research vessel over Titanic: it was her opportunity to give the necklace to Jack, so that it was never worn by some other woman, converted to cash by anyone else upon her death... the Heart of the Ocean was her own heart, in the romantic sense. And it belonged to Jack."A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets."She then rests in peace, everything in her life finally where it belongs.

Is it good to return the gifts after a breakup?

No way. Gifts aren't gifts if they’re exchanged with a clawback policy in tow.If it was a happy, honest relationship at the time the gifts were exchanged then they can serve to remind you of the good times you had.If your partner was in anyway acting uncouth during the time that the gifts were exchanged then feel free to burn them to the ground, but returning them? That just makes an unnecessary statement; best to keep the focus on building/maintaining a happy, fulfilling life in their absence. If you were in anyway acting uncouth during the time the gifts were exchanged, still best not to return them. It will only serve to rub salt in the wounds whilst they're trying to move forward with their life.
