I Had This Idea About Making An Android Game And Had A Few Questions.

What can I use to MAKE Android games?

first off, the ? poster is totally wrong. Android uses java, not C++.

Second, look into the videos at ThNewBoston. They have 200 android video tutorials from setting up the program to write app and finishes with publishing the app. Not every video deals with games, but it'd be best to watch them all to learn.

Suggestion for android game maker?

Well Unity is a great option, Javascript is easy to learn.
But there are a few Game Makers that require little or no programming that can compile to the Android platform.

Game Maker Studio:
This one is one of the best game makers that I've seen in my whole life. You don't need any programming but you may add scripts to increase the functionality of your game if you wish. For around $300 you can create Android games with it and publish them.

GameSalad:
With this game engine, it can compile and publish for Android, but sadly it isn't free to do so as it is with iOS, for Android publishing you must pay $299 a year for it.

Stencyl:
This one isn't quite released for Android yet but it's getting close, check back every week or two. Pricing for it hasn't been announced yet.

Construct 2:
This one is a HTML5 game maker but certain tools can be used to convert it to an Android game, pricing is £259.00 for the business edition.

Multimedia Fusion 2:
Haven't tried this one, but it looks quite promising, check it out.

That's all I can think of right now, good luck :D

I have an idea for a puzzle Android game. What should I do?

If you’re passionate about it, find some game design communities, and get feedback on it. I think /r/gamedesign on Reddit is good. Then, if you think the idea has legs, develop the simplest prototype possible. If you don’t know a game engine, I recommend Game Maker and Unity. but if you can do a paper version, often this is enough.Keeping it simple is key, as you want to quickly build a version so you can test it with people. Then, test it. As many people as possible, preferably people who like puzzle games. If people find it’s fun, you’re probably on to something. All this said, it takes a lot of resolve, creativity, focus, hard work, etc. to finish a game. Just because you have an idea doesn’t mean you have to make it. The mark of a creator though is to have hundreds of ideas, and execute well on their best ones.

What can I do if I have a very good idea for an android/ios game but I don't know how to script it?

A2AYou can try GameSalad (GameSalad - Make Games for iOS, Android & HTML5 - Drag & Drop - No Coding Required. Game creation for everyone) to do a prototype of your game idea. No matter what steps you are going to take, you will need a prototype. If you want to get a team to continue the development, the prototype will help them understand your idea better. If you are going to get investors to put money and hire the team, you will need the prototype to show them that the idea is feasible. Even if you decide to do it yourself, you have something to start with.

GB/GBC games on my Android phone?

I would like to play Gameboy games on my android phone, but I have a few questions:

Can I download the roms straight to my phone, without involving my computer?

What is a good safe site to download the roms that would be compatible with the android emulators

which emulators for android would you recommend?

A step by step explanation would be greatly appreciated. I understand that I am only able to legally run roms for which games i already own, which is fine, i would just prefer to use my phone than to carry 2 devices. thanks for the help!

Do you have any ideas for an Android app?

I have so many ideas, but I'll talk about only one that I'm thinking about now.I'd like to have a simple app to tell people that I'm in X location, or that I arrive at Y location. The daily use for me is to tell my wife that I arrive to work safely, she doesn't have to ask me, and I don't have to tell her via messaging app. Lot of times I forget to tell her so she is worried for nothing. The process of telling people this information should be triggered by GPS location when I enter the corresponding area. And the message can be sent by any messaging app (SMS, WhatsApp, Allo…)By the way, I see that Google Maps is launching a new feature to tell people where you are, but for my case I just want an app to do it in one time, not sharing all the trip.Currently I'm doing this with some trick apps like IFTTT, Automate, … but a dedicated app will be very helpful.

Can I get some feedback for my Android game?

First off, let me virtually shake your hand! It’s always nice meeting other indies building for Android.Your game has a unique idea, but the graphics don’t blend very well with each other. But maybe that’s just the artist in me nitpicking.Either way it’s sad how little exposure indies get for their games. I have 1000+ downloads, but that’s thanks to AppGratis which shut down just recently. If you’d like you can check out my game here Soundscape - Android Apps on Google Play which people have gone to town on with bad reviews. I’d appreciate honest feedback if you’d give it.

I have an Idea for Android app which I want to develop. But there are quite similar apps in play store. Can I be banned for copyright or something?
