I Have 1 Car Is Couple Under $10 000 . I

19% APR on car loan?

Auto finance is what I do for a living and unless you expect something to change in the next two weeks, I see no reason to wait.

If you have been turned down for anything lower, what is it that's going to change in two weeks?

This is not a good rate, but if this is the best you have been approved for it's a good place to start establishing good credit.

It will take longer then 6-mo. of good payments to qualify to refinance this loan. The dealer is simply telling you this so you will go ahead and sigh up. In reality, it will take more like 12-payments as agreed.

Additional information.

OK, so your problem is not bad credit just a thin file. Try your own local bank or credit union they should be able to beat 19%.

I am a 20 yr old college student looking for a $10,000 car loan since i need another reliable car to get to work and school. I have had a credit card for about 2 years and thats about the only credit i have. I just started working again about 3 weeks ago and make about 430 a week before (taxes 340 after). A couple simple questions about Jeep Wranglers...?

For the most part, Wranglers have always been available with automatics, but they're not as common as the manuals. This is due to it's reputation as an extremely capable off-roader, which is what Wrangler is designed to be. This doesn't mean it can't be a daily driver, it just means be prepared to give up some creature comforts that you may be used to in a regular SUV. No power windows/locks/mirrors, trucky ride, wind noise, etc. However, since the fun factor in a Wrangler is so high, you may not miss any of those options anyway. It's not unlike driving a really big go-kart. Top down and doors off - what's not to like?

Wranglers are no more dangerous to drive than any other SUV, as long as you don't drive like an idiot. If you're interested in speed, forget it. Minivans can beat me in my 2009 Wrangler, but it's not meant to be a speed demon. It's meant to go anywhere, on or off road, in mud, snow, sand, whatever.

Ever heard the phrase Just Empty Every Pocket? Jeep haters have their own definition for that, but Jeep enthusiasts also subscribe to it for a different reason: the amount of accessories available for Wrangler is simply staggering. Entire catalogs are dedicated to Wrangler - I have my own wish list of stuff I want to get. I've got birthdays and Christmas gifts covered for the next few years at least. LOL

For $10K, you're looking at probably late 90's maybe early 2000's. Stay away from the 4cyls - they're seriously underpowered and the gas mileage is actually worse than that of the 4.0L 6cyls that were available then. The 4.0L is a great engine and a workhorse. Very strong and will last a long, long time.

Why can't you legally take more than $10,000 out of your bank account?

I'm assuming this question only applies to a US bank. You can take as much cash as you own from a bank but the bank is required to file a report of all withdrawals greater than $9,999 for possible further review. This is done to flag transactions that may be done for money laundering reasons. When you think about it, most cash transaction are small notional amounts. It's common to buy a beer with cash but it's uncommon to buy a $100,000 house or a $10,000 car with cash. Usually people use some sort of check or wire to transfer funds. It makes sense for practical purposes such as security and convenience. It's much easier to rob $10,000 out of a briefcase being carried around by its owner than it is to rob the same amount from the bank at a loss to its owner. Even if the money is successfully stolen and not recovered, the owner of the $10,000 deposit is insured for the whole amount by the bank and the FDIC. Security is a priority and can become a problem for businesses operating and generating high amounts of actual cash. They become targets for robbers and security costs become significant. I once deposited more than $10,000 in cash and I promptly received a call from the bank investigating the reason for the transaction. It's part of the regulatory “Know Your Customer” requirements implemented on all banks. The fact that our society is moving away from a cash based economy to an electronic transaction based economy is actually a positive development in the sense that you minimize robberies and security costs incurred.

What's the most reliable used car to buy for under $10,000?

If you are looking for specific makes/models/years, Consumer Reports in its Annual Car Issue (April 2018) lists the most reliable cars in the $5000-$10,000 price range. You can find the information on their web site, ConsumerReports .org (subscription required) or the magazine at your local library. These ratings are based on actual owner surveys as well as the company’s own test results. Some examples of their recommendations are:Honda Fit - ‘09–12Kia Soul - ‘10–12Mazda3 - ‘09–12Scion xB - ‘-08–12Toyota Corolla - ‘08–11Toyota Matrix - ‘08–10Toyota Prius - ‘08–09Honda Accord - ‘08–09Of course, any used car including those listed above can have problems related to previous abuse, poor maintenance, and accident damage that will affect its future reliability. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to have a professional mechanic check out any used car before you buy.

Is there a car that I can buy for about $10k as a weekend car (putting on maybe 6-7k miles a year) that I can sell after 2 years for ~90% what I paid?

Unless you’re put off by the styling, find a moderate mileage (low 100k-ish miles) 2000–2005 Lexus SC430. Heck 2006–2010 if you can find one…but $10k is pushing it.Exceptional build quality. Super, fun retractable hardtop (close to open in 30 seconds). Beautifully made leather and real wood interior. Decent power (enough to have a little fun, but not so much that you’ll find yourself in a heap of trouble quickly). Decent stereo. Decent handling. It’s a 4 seater, but consider it a 2 seater unless you have very small rear passengers. They’ve bottomed out in pricing for that age range….sitting somewhere in the $8k–13+k-ish range for the next few years at least. But you can easily negotiate one to under $10k these days. It’ll retain a significant amount of what you pay for it over the next couple of years if you’re putting so few additional miles on it.It’s a fantastic weekend car if you like something fun and well built, with a tiny bit of attention (don’t expect tons of attention, but it’ll get you a few smiles and waves now and again).Make sure it has a verifiable maintenance record of its 90–96k-ish timing belt replacement (which would have included the tensioners, water pump and all the belts). The timing belt is built like a tank on these and we actually ran ours up to 116k before replacing the belt (and the belt/pump/tensioners were still in excellent condition when they came off). But it’s a pricey $1500+-ish job if it hasn’t been done yet. If you find one that’s above the recommended interval, and there’s no proof that the belt was done, and the car is running excellent….consider negiatating the price down another couple grand. Some photos of the 2005 my wife owned in black, saddle and burl with special edition wheels off of a Lexus 350 I believe. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I enjoyed it (and I’m a diehard 60s musclecar fanatic).

How do I convince my father to let me get a BMW?

Okay so I'm roughly 14 years of age and a freshman in high school. Please do not allow yourself to think I am foolish for wanting this but rather "ambitious" as you will.

I want atleast a BMW 3 series or preferably a 1M or M3 (with leather seating, ///M sport package, etc..) for my first car. In one of my bank accounts I have about $10,000 already. (I don't work) My dad has a couple BMW's so he said I could either get his BMW x3 or I could get my own. He said he would buy me I. believe the entire price of the car (he makes around $60k to 100k each month) and gas (because he has a corporate, company gas card = "free gas") all I have to pay for is insurance and possible damages/repairs that occur. The main issue with him not wanting me to get a BMW is for these 2 reasons,

1) he spent $25k for his first car but it was used so he says I can't have any car that is new for that reason(stupid right..) I would get a 2014-15 model when I turn 17.
2) I've driven his x3 (main car) many times and I tend to drive fast, but he says he is very impressed.

We tend to argue a lot about it and says he wants to make sure I don't go fast on the roads, which I wouldn't go above the speed limit (in most cases)

But what do I say to convince him that I can being safe and responsible in this car? I told him about all the safety features but it didn't prove anything to him. The entire reason I'm asking this is to start being responsible early, and show him respect, and honesty.
