I Have 2 Concerts And I Have To Choose One

Should i go to a MUSE concert?

Muse is an absolutely amazing band. I'm going to their concert tomorrow, and it will be the first Muse concert I've been to. I hear from my friends that they do indeed have the best stage presence over any other band.
my opinion is, as long as you can get the money, and you really want to go, then go! there shouldnt be a reason not to if it's all there for you.
if you dont have the money, maybe you could lend some from a friend or your parents (if you're the right age for that). Also, if you haven't checked sites like StubHub, i would do so.
go for the middle prices, like $150, maybe. That'll get you decent seats if you dont mind spending a bit more. (then again, nosebleed seats rarely make your nose bleed...)
I am an obsessive Muse fan myself, so i know how bad you can get when you need to go to their concert.
also, for concerts in general, do NOT buy tickets from scalpers (people who satnd outside the stadium selling tickets cheap at the last minute), bring money for merchandise if you're into that (usually 25-35 bucks for a shirt, 10 for posters, and 5 for keychains and stuff like that). I'm bringing $60 when i go, seeing as that allows for the highest price a shirt could be, a poster and a keychain.
also, get there about an hour before to get food, merchandise and find your seats. you may have to wait outside a bit, but you dont need to fight for a seat (unless your venue is set up with a 'first come gets the best seat' lawn...stadium seating shouldnt be a problem in this area)
It's also always nice to look up the opening band (which would be Silversun Pickups if you're in Chicago).
Shows are rarely on schedule, so expect the opener to come on about a half hour after the official start time, and for Muse to be on about an hour after that. Usually the headliner will play for about three to four hours. There's usually a short break, but thats when everyone gets up. if you have to use the bathroom, i would advise going during a song you wouldnt particularly mind missing, to beat the lines (mens bathrooms have shorter lines than ladies, as you would assume)
Hope that was helpful. I know I was confused my first concert, so i hope i spared you some grief.

What are George Jones concerts like?

You lucky dog!! I had to answer this because George Jones is my favorite singer! Ive only been to one of his concerts and I totally loved it! I live in Kansas and I went to see him in Missouri which isn't far. He did all of his hit songs! When he sang Tennessee Whiskey, he sang it like, .your as smooth as Kansas whiskey, your as sweet as Missouri wine and the crowd went wild! Mostly the women! I love him so much that I ran as fast as I could (when his show was over) to try and just touch him,but it was too late and the guards wouldn't let me.So I stood by the fence, asking the guys who were packing up to please let me see him,but of course I didn't get to! What I did get was one of his spare guitar strings there were only six of them and since I was the first to get to the fence I was the first (of the few) person to get one! I swear to god! haha,it seems so funny now,but as you can tell, even though that was yrs.ago Im still totally obsessed with him! He put on one hell of a show, and I'll never forget it! Im looking forward to seeing him again someday soon I hope! So go have fun and Im sure you'll love it!!

Should I go to a concert alone if I am under 18?

It depends on the concert, it's always safest to take a friend or an adult with you. Depending how far under 18 you are it isn't always possible to actually get in on your own.Either way, make sure you have a fully charged phone, a way home and have organised a back up plan just in case. Something like texting an adult after every set and every ten or twenty minutes following the concert until your home safe.Personally I'm 18 and I wouldn't be comfortable going to a concert alone simply because some people are bad people, especially when drunk and talking from experience it's much less unsettling if you have someone you trust just in case.Hope this helps

What do you wear to a concert?!?

This is my third concert and I have NO IDEA what to wear. The first two I went to were the American Idol concert tour, where my friend and I made shirts for David Cook, and one for Gavin DeGraw/Absentstar that we made shirts for too.

This time though, we didn't make shirts so I'm clueless .. haha. I'm going to see Push Play, they're kind of like an alternative rock band - a lot of Panic! At The Disco. Here's what they sound like, in case you're curious ;)

But anyways .. what do people wear to concerts?! What should I wear? I usually dress pretty "preppy" ... jeans and a nice shirt [like a tunic-y kind of thing a lot of the time] ... hollister and american eagle clothes ... and basically the only shoes i wear are flats.

So anyways .. any suggestions?! Please help me :(

Can you get a BTS merch and an army bomb at their concert?

Yes you can! Although keep in mind, as the crowd get’s larger the prices go higher and if you want to be one of the first’s to get one, you’d want to go early before the sell out.Furthermore a lot of generous fans after the concert sell their merchandise at a reasonable prices!I’d highly recommend you to get an ARMY bomb, not only will you own a merchandise you will be part of the army bomb wave of colors!!!Enjoy! <3

What should I wear to a concert?

Hey how's it goin'? Wear some comfortable clothes....that's it. Whether you're indoors or outdoors, just dress comfortably. T-Shirt, Jeans/Shorts, Comfortable Shoes/Sandals...I'm tellin' you. I've been to a ton of concerts and watched overdressed people like they belong in the Hamptons or overdressed people like they're preparing for a Winter storm. Then on the flipside, I've seen girls in bras/bikinis. Last show I was at? STP and this one girl was wearing a bra/panties all over the place. She had a line of drunken fools following her around, she's lucky if she walked out of there unscathed. Just wear what feels right, and have fun.

Which concert or gig have you been to and thought that was brilliant?

I went to see Motion City Soundtrack, but this ain’t about them.I only went because:they’re a close friend’s favorite band,I love that one song, The Future Freaks Me Out…...and what can I say, I was bored and wanted a show to see.So we’re at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, and this band I’ve never heard of comes on.They’ve got this pianist/lead singer plus drums and guitar.Pretty sweet luck for me, a pianist, getting to see a band with a keyboard featured as anyone’s instrument as an opening band I had no prior knowledge of, especially as the lead dude’s main instrument! So I’m getting all excited, hoping it’s not just a synth or a chord banging guitar-substitute, and then, just casually, piano/lead dude starts warming up.I’m like: Oh, well shit. And then: D-a-a-ayummm!‘Cause y’all, he wasn’t just banging out some chords ‘cause he couldn’t play guitar or some shit, this dude was truly “tickling — the — ivories,” so to speak.By that I mean, and this doesn’t happen so often in rock bands: He was fucking better than me!And not only better than me, but like, in a league of his own, like fucking Matt Bellamy.Except he was playing 100% his own shit, not splicing classical music into his songs… I totally love Matt and I love his original stuff as well as the classical interludes, but like, if we’re critiquing pianists - what a trip to be able to critique rock pianists! - I can’t not mention that.Yeah so then unknown-tickling-ivories dude starts singing. And you’d expect him to be better at one thing than the other, but you’d be fuckin’ wrong. Like, he was no Matthew Bellamy on vocals, but I swear to god, dude could still have kept up with Matt, and y’all know that is high fucking praise.Plus, I think this dude played better than he sang, and his singing was a lot more…approachable?…than anything Muse puts out.Like he’s got a song, Schizophrenia, that sounds like he probably has it himself. It’s not a metaphor for some other experience, that’s for sure.As far as I know, very true and very personal. Plus it’s still catchy and bouncy and almost-mainstream-pop as hell.IF YOU DON’T KNOW BY NOW:JUKEBOX THE GHOST!Schizophrenia. I think it’s fucking brilliant, please correct me if it’s not!I bought two of their albums on the spot.Brilliant!Katie❤️

Are concerts dangerous?

hey, i know some people joke about this stuff, but i really have to say fairplay to you for wanting to take care of your hearing!! DJ's for example, can develop bad hearing because of the constant loud music.... but thats DJ's, you on the other hand don't listen to loud music constantly! so ye i say you should go.... because your hearing is good obviously! You can wear ear plugs if your worried... but you will still hear the music even with them in.

I know a few people with tinnitus and its a constant ringing in the ears that will never go away (though they are working on cures as we speak) .... even kids get it from standing really close to the speakers. There is no cure for it... so protect your hearing by standing away from direct speakers....no concerts aren't dangerous you have to live your life without fears and our hearing is pretty tolerent but good also to have the awareness like you do!!

What is the best seat in a concert? Why?

It depends on the experience you want.If you want the best audio experience: Somewhere in the middle to back of the venue. The audio engineers mix the band to sound best all the way back to the rear. This is why if you stand really close to the stage, especially at a rock or metal concert, things will sound extremely bassy and garbled. The speakers are set to pump out a lot of volume, because the sound waves have to make their way through hundreds of bodies and other objects in the venue. If you want to experience the highest level of energy: Right up front or near the pit. There's nothing that can compare to being as close to the band as possible. This area will feel the most "electric". If you want the best visuals: Somewhere at an angle when facing the stage, probably near the middle. If you want to be able to see as much as possible during the performance, being slightly at an angle will help out with this. The human eye naturally responds more dynamically to depth and varied object size, and being able to see each band member "visually staggered" will give you the easiest path to this result. If you want to record songs on your phone: Further back or in the balcony. This is what I do when I'm capturing songs to view later. The mix usually sustains above the crowd, and you get a clear shot of the drummer as well as the rest of the band. Nothing compares to the balcony for capturing all elements visually.
