I Have A 5s None Of The Tweaks Are Showing Up On My Settings

Which router settings are best?

1) Generally set the speed to the highest speed, however, on 2.4 GHz, the limited number of channels may mean that 40 MHz bandwidth (used by the higher speeds) is not feasible as this requires two channels to work. 2.4 GHz offers fewer channels and is more heavily used than 5 GHz. The lower frequency should provide better coverage than is possible on 5 GHz providing there is no interference from other networks.

2) On 2.4 GHz, the channels should be at least 5 channels away from other used channels. This is not always possible in urban areas (or blocks of apartments). In the US, this means the recommended channels are 1, 6 and 11. In Europe, changing to 4 channel spacing can give rise to some slight interference over longer distances but means that channels 1, 5, 9 and 13 become possible choices. Automatic channel selection by the router does not always work properly. The router might see a channel as being empty, but at the other end of the house, the channel that the router has picked might experience heavy interference from another nearby network. On 5 GHz, the selectable channels are normally spaced sufficiently far apart that there is no channel overlap. Also, as 5 GHz is less popular, has shorter range and there are more channels available, it is normally possible to find an empty channel on this band.

3) Make sure you are using encryption, preferably WPA2, with a good random pass phrase. Keep the MTU size at the maximum. On 2.4 GHz, use non-preferred channels if the preferred ones are already heavily used.

Go to http://www.netstumbler.com and download NetStumbler. This will show you which channels are used in your area, and the signal strengths on each channel. It will also show you channels with hidden network names (SSIDs) that most other tools do not detect. Personally I dislike hiding a SSID. It makes virtually no difference to security as the network name is still broadcast unencrypted by clients connecting to that network. A hacker will have the tools to sniff the network names of hidden networks. As many tools do not detect hidden networks, a channel might appear to be empty but there is actually a hidden network using it. NetStumber will tell you it is there although it will not tell you the network name.

I hope this helps.

Quotes in "Tweak" by Nic Sheff, help?

I have the book but I can't seem to find it and would like some help finding a quote from the book. and its fairly deep. so if you've read the whole book, i'd like some help.

The setting was when Nic was in rehab with someone named Spencer and one of them was talking about multi-color.

My computer is running so slow i could write a letter mail it and get a reply the time its taking me to reply?

It could be a couple of things first check to see if your PC is fragmented by going to start then all programs accessories and then system tools. From there click on disk fragment and click analyze it will let you know to def rag your PC or not. If its fragmented then def ragging it will speed up your PC. Also adding more memory always will speed up your PC.

Lately, I sent a WhatsApp message to a friend who was online, but my message shows only one tick mark. How can I do that to my WhatsApp too?

I think i am eligible to answer this question and sort out your problem by making your doubts clear.Firstly, single tick means your message has been sent over the network and now if the reciver has a connection to the internet and active whatsapp account, it'll reach him definitely(unless blocked).Second tick is the confirmation for sender that the message has been successfully delivered the other end.Again it fulfills all the above conditions and still you didn't see any second tick, it might be due to some conjunction in the network or your whtsapp contact, to whom you have sent the message, is using a moded version of whatsapp.Yeah, you read it correctly, as we see in internet every 2nd software or app has its moded version available, there are many moded versions of whatsapp too.For example:GBWhatsAppWhatsApp + and many more.I have been using GBwhatsapp for a couple of months, when my best friend(female) begun keeping an eagle's eye on my whtsapp activity. It is furnished with many salivary features such as:Hide second tickFor contactsFor groupsHide last seen(online)Hide blue ticksExtra themes and many more.At the same time it allows you to run two whatsapp account in a single smartphone. But as soon as i realised that i was cheating myself and everything is worthless and time wasting, i deleted my whatsapp account and switched to Quora.PS: it is a third party app and not available in google play store(unofficial too) , please install it at your own risk.
