I Have A Bad Heart Because I

Is marijuana bad for your heart?

The only negative effect marijuana has on the heart is at times it will force it to work harder. After a couple tokes most people notice their heart rate quickens, what they don't notice is their blood pressure drops too.

Increasing heart rate while decreasing blood pressure at the same time can lead to irregular heart rhythms and in those with already compromised circulatory systems more serious problems. Yes a heart attack is a possibility, slim chance though it may be but it's something to keep in mind.

"One study has indicated that a user’s risk of heart attack more than quadruples in the first hour after smoking marijuana. The researchers suggest that such an effect might occur from marijuana’s effects on blood pressure and heart rate and reduced oxygen-carrying capacity of blood."

Keep in mind that the article this paragraph came from is most likely prejudiced but the effects they speak about are real. Anyone who's ever smoked high grade weed KNOWS it'll raise your heart rate for a short time.

Is smoking hookah bad for your heart?

A hookah technically refers to a method of smoking, rather than to a definite smoking material. If used to smoke either tobacco or for example cannabis, both remain just as harmful to the heart as if the were smoked in the more conventional way.

Is a heart-rate of 56 beats per minute bad?

Don't worry, if you were a long distance runner and work out a lot, a lower heart rate is very normal. A normal heart rate for well conditioned athletes or people who work out all the time and run, etc. is 40-60. The more you exercise or the better shape you are in the more efficient your heart works.

Babies to age 1:
100–160
Children ages 1 to 10:
60–140
Children older 11 to 17:
60–100
Adults:
60–100
Well-conditioned athletes:
40–60

The above data was taken from webmd.com and personal experience.

Is eating burned food really bad for your heart?

There are harmful chemicals produced when foods are burned. However, I haven't heard that they're bad for your heart; to my knowledge, they are just a little bit carcinogenic (meaning they can contribute to cancer).

The amounts of carcinogenic chemicals produced in burned food are really really minute, though. Like we're talking unbelievably tiny amounts here. I wouldn't eat burned food every day, but once a week or less should be fine.

I should note that while burning pork chops is not bad for the heart, pork chops themselves (and pork in general) contain a lot of saturated fat, which IS bad for your heart. So I wouldn't eat pork chops more than once a week either, regardless of whether they're burned or not.
