I Have A Bump On The Side Of My Neck. Dangerous

I have a tokay gecko with a lump under the skin on the side of its neck...what is this and is it dangerous????

It may just be a calcium sac, tokays are one of several gecko species that store calcium just behind the jaw. It forms soft looking visible bulges and is usually seen on both sides of the jaw. If the lump you see is very obviously on one side only then it may be something else like an abscess.

What are the dangers of a punch in the neck?

The danger from a punch in the neck depends on direction of the punch, the force behind the punch and the ability of the individual to accept such a punch.A punch directly to the front of the throat can have three effects. A light strike may elicit a choking response. Slightly harder can cause laryngeal spasms in the airway and closure of the airway. A stoke involving the hyoid bone could fractured of the hyoid and cause swelling and closure of the airway.Punches to the side of the head can cause fracture of the cervical spine. Lighter strikes can affect the cervical nerves which, in turn, can interrupt the use of the arm.A strike collapsing the jugular vein or the carotid artery can cause unconsciousness. Deep penetration from a punch could affect the cranial nerves running through the neck. Interruption the vagus nerve affects the heart. Penetration this deep will probably have more direct on the surrounding structures.A strike to the back of the neck also risks fracture of cervical spine. In addition, if high enough, even slight separation of the spine from the skull, will cause death. With all those negative affects, it is entirely possible, with the proper training, to survive the above attacks. Proper muscular control and breath control can prevent damage to the underlying structures with little or no side affects.Seiyo Shorin-ryu Karate & Kobudo - Leach HanshiRon Leach Karate | Facebook

I have a huge red bump on the back of my neck, what can it be?

Hi, thereConcerning about your bump, it might be due to inflammation(if you are belonging to a country where summer temp. varies between 30–45 degree celsius) ,insect bite , might be due to some cyst formation and many other things. I am categorizing it into two categories-Its painful , red centered and the swelling increases day by day - if these happens nothing to worry. It mostly because of insect bites or because of inflammation caused due to heat. It sometimes goes by it self and sometimes medication is just to prevent the pain caused due to it. It mostly be gone by between 2–20 days. Some times some painful bumps are also dangerous but you must check for the swelling part. if its not increasing and not getting any pus then also it might be due to some serious condition. If its not painful(less pain), the blood vessels can be seen by outside, that bump got increased and does not got away within 10 days, then it might be serious. Sometimes cyst is also happened, and it can be cancerous or non-cancerous also. so better to check up by doctor if you are concerning too much and if the swelling is not decreasing at all for at least 15 days.Hope, you will find your answer. best of luck

Could it be serious if I have a lump that moves on the right side of my neck?

I'm assuming it's a lump that's under your skin. In that case, it could be serious. Could. Here's my advice as a person who has experienced moving lumps:Don't panicStop touching it. If this is a lymph node and it's reactive, then playing with it isn't going to help. Stop touching it.Wait one week.At the end of that week, if the swelling hasn't gone away, then call your doctor. You have lymph nodes all over your body and they swell up when they are working. They are made to swell a little. Most of the time, swollen nodes are part of a normal reactive process.Take care. And stop touching it. Please.

My dog has a big, hard bump on his side?

I've had lots of experience with bumps and growths on dogs, as my old miniature schnauzer had quite a few.
Basically, my vet told me that if it's regular round shaped, mobile from the skin, and doesn't grow rapidly, they are usually benign and fatty lumps that grow under the skin. This is more common in older dogs tahn younger dogs.
If the lump is bumpy, irregular shaped, 'stuck' to the skin, and grows rapidly, it is very likely a malignant tumor which means that it is cancerous.
In any case, the size of the bump and the fact that it's hard, and that your dog is a little chihuahua would be cause for concern. I would definitely get it checked out at the vet.
If it is something suspicious, they will usually take some cell samples from the lump and send it off for a biopsy to see what the cells are, whether they are cancerous or not.
I wish you the best, but I would really get it checked out. Also, really monitor the bump, look for any changes in size, shape etc.

Good luck!

I noticed a bump at my lower back near left side of my spine. What could it be?is it dangerous?

I noticed a week ago that my lower back near the spine is not even.there is a slight bump, a round-like movable hard thing (i don't know if it is tissue or bone) located at the left side of my spine. It is on the same level to my navel, only that it is located at the left side of my spine.sometimes it is painful, sometimes it is not. I am quite concerned about what is it. if i bent down,it is clear that my lower back is not even because of this bump. Do you have any ideas, or similar problems? Please share me what do you think it is? Is it very dangerous? I plan to see a doctor but i wanted to search more about this, sadly i don't know what to search because i don't know what it is.

I’m a 14 year old boy and I have a lump on my neck that has been growing for years. What cancers are common among 14 year olds?

Cancers very very rarely occur in teens. Most cancers also grow much more quickly than a “lump that has been growing for years”. However teens do get Hodgkins lymphoma. It’s an important thing to know about early because the treatments are less severe although either way, it’s a highly curable cancer. The chances are very high that the lump is not a cancer but could be a reactive lymph node as teens frequently are fighting an assortment of viral infections they are exposed to at school and social events.A trip to the doctor would be helpful to sort it out.

I have 1 or 2 little bumps on my neck?

Could be any number of things. Probably a bug bite, or since it's summer your sweat will block pours, and you get pimples. Or sometimes your nymphs get inflamed from allergies.

Bumps on throat/back of tongue? Help?

I'm a very paranoid person so give me serious answers please.

I don't have tonsils btw. So, don't say strep because i dont have tonsils.

I have flesh colored bumps on the back of my throat and they are hard to the touch. The back part of my tongue is covered with big bumps (I don't know if this is natural or not). My throat doesn't hurt at all and im having no weird symptoms. Well, my throat did hurt for alittle while after kissing someone, but now the pain is totally gone. It felt like i had a lump in the back of my throat. Not anymore though! I do have swollen glands on the side of my neck.

I haven't been sexual in an entire year.
Please help. I'm very concerned

There is a swollen lymph node at the left side of my neck for a month. The biopsy concluded that it was not due to cancer nor TB. But the lump is still there. What might be the possible cause for this?

Not cancer or not TB is not the report of the biopsy. The biopsy report will specify the types of cells and structures present; this will give a clue as to a likely underlying cause. For example, there may be granulomas, while TB will cause granulomata there are multiple other causes. It could show a pattern suggesting mononucleosis or other infectious diseases.Often patients have come in to the office and state that a biopsy showed “not cancer”; this is only a small part of a true biopsy report.
