I Have A Fat Lazy Unemployed And Aggressive Dad

How does it feel to be jobless even after having graduated from top institutes of India?

I was jobless for 6 years by choice. I am from NIT Kurukshetra. I took a plunge in a notorious exam called Civil Service Exam. During that time CSE had 4 chances for a general category student.During first two attempts I didn't even manage to clear Prelim. It was during the 3rd attempt I managed to reach till interview somehow. But failed to be in the final merit list. By the time 4 yrs had already gone in a row. Somehow I mustered up the courage to appear in the final attempt. This time again I attended interview ... but finally BANG .... no name in the final merit list. Then followed the period of depression. I felt like guilty of committing some kind of cardinal sin. Most of my friends had already settled in their respective jobs like Banks, MNCs, Academics, etc.I had to start all over again at entry level jobs. My resume got rejected 99% of the times. Even any kind of reference didn't work.I was 28 yrs by the time. You can imagine the plight of a jobless man at that time.Even people used to say behind my back, "Jab aukaat nahi thhi Engineering karne ki toh kia hi kyun, ... BA hi kar lete." [Trans: "When you didn't have the acumen of going with Engineering, ..then why did you even do that .. you should have better enrolled in BA (Arts)"]But the remarkable aspect of CSE preparation was that it gave me an enormous stamina to deal with this miserable period of life.I started giving Chemistry tutions to Class XI & XII students to stay alive. But I wasn't satisfied and felt that  void a big time. But from that point of life, ... I had left nothing to lose.It was a friend settled in Adelaide who came to my rescue. He advised me to apply for Australian immigration with whatever visa I was eligible for. There were only two ways to get the visa. Either by marrying someone there or applying for a student visa. I went for the latter. Got my student visa after some struggle. Took a loan for 1st sem fees.Reached there and worked day and night without looking back. I had to pay my fees, loan, survival, medical with whatever little I managed to earn. Had to learn the real art of passing the semester exams with whatever little I studied after back breaking labor of entire day.Last year, I got PR and succeeded to get my course done on time. Currently, working in a mine in Perth. I don't mind working hard.

What is the best revenge against a cheating husband and his mistress?

A friend of mine told me this story years ago, not sure how true it is though.Anyway this couple is married, the lady has a corporate job and is always travelling. The husband is nice and supportive of his wife but has a young mistress on the side he see’s when wifey is away. Wifey suspects nothing. One day she has to travel outside the country to sort out a crisis. She’s expected back on a Monday. Husband uses this opportunity to bring his mistress home. Unfortunately for both of them wifey manages to sort out the crisis early and gets back home a day earlier, on the Sunday. She walks into the house to find a strange woman wearing her bathrobe and washing the dishes. Hubby is on the couch watching the tv with a towel wrapped around his waist. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out what’s been happening. She greets her husband warmly, even hugs him, greets the mistress warmly and rebukes her husband for not introducing them. Hubby is tongue-tied in shock. She then goes to the bedroom, unpacks her suitcase and comes back to the lounge to find the mistress has quickly dressed up and disappeared.Hubby is waiting for the worst but wifey behaves like nothing has happened. She chats merrily about her trip, asks him how he’s week has been, even makes dinner. After dinner they go to bed like nothing has happened. This continues for two straight days, wife behaves like nothing happened, isn’t moody or angry, is in fact very chirpy and cheerful. On the third day the husband broke down and confessed to everything. The torture of silence was too much to bear. He couldn’t even sleep because he thought she was plotting some nefarious scheme against him. He confesses to everything and promises never to do it again and he never does. Wife eventually forgives him and they live happily ever after. Sometimes psychological warfare really does work.

How did your parents punish you for a bad grade on a report card?

I have a funny story though. My father once punished/caned me for a bad grade. It was the only time and I believe the punishment was justified.I started poorly as a kid in school and my father was a little worried. I was improving slowly but that was because the number of pupils in class reduced every session. Then one day, My dad came home visibly worried, and called me and my sister, then he promised to get a bicycle for anyone who comes top three in class(I was 7/8 in primary 3, my sister was 5/6 in nursery 2).Surprisingly , in less than two months, the result was out and I performed excellently well. I was third best in class and I still remember how my class teacher praised me for my sudden rise in good grades. I was motivated by the reward of a bicycle. Yes, bicycle was a big deal then, a really really big deal. Did I mention that i went from 7th in my class and 13th overall(because we have two classes ,A and B) to 3rd in class and 4th overall.Plot twist; The reward was acquired and I went on being top 3 for another session then I started backsliding and playing again. In primary 4, I came 5th in class with a lower number of pupils and 8th overall. My report card assessment from my class teacher and headmistress were incriminating; it says I needed close monitoring and i was becoming too playful. When my father sat down with me to revise my grades, he noticed I was unserious and couldn't answer or grasp things easily. We went through my marked sheets and he flogged me up to 15strokes of the cane. I remember my granny begging him on my behalf. I think my bicycle was seized for a while, my movement in and out of the house was controlled also. The punishnent worked magic and I came 2nd in class the next session. By the end of my primary 5, I was the best overall in class ,scoring the highest in common entrance examinations. I wasn't just 1st in my class, I was first overall. I got a bigger bicycle as reward.

Do looks really matter in life? Do good looking people have an advantage?

Yes, looks matter.Don't tell me that you have not been bullied in school/college/office because of how fat/skinny/nerdy you look?Don't tell me that you were not made to stand in the back rows during stage performances in school, while a few beautiful faces were always there at the first rows?Don't tell me that you weren't judged by how you look,  Fat : you must be eating your siblings’ food as well. Skinny : Don't your parents give you any food to eat? Fair : How much makeup have you applied?/how many visits of parlor do you make in a month? Dark : start applying sunscreen, fairness creams, blah blah blah…Don't tell me your first crush was not because of how cute/sexy he/she looks?Don't tell me when you imagine your future partner the first question that pop up inside your head isn't 'I really wonder how he/she will look like? 'Don't tell me that the person you loved the most didn't chose someone else who was more impressive than you in terms of looks?Don’t tell me that you don’t click on ‘Read More’ whenever you see a picture of someone good looking on Quora answers?Don’t tell me you don’t follow hot/cute girls/boys on Instagram and admire how perfect they look?Don’t tell me that you have not been rejected because of your looks?Don’t tell me that this little kid is famous because of his talent and not looks :Don’t tell me this girl did something extra-ordinary and became an overnight star because of that and not because of her looks and wink and expressions? :And girls don’t tell me your heart doesn’t skips a beat everytime he smiles ? :Don’t tell me that good looking people don’t have any advantage !Looks do matter in the society we live in and this is one of the bitter truths that we need to digest.Good looks matter but it is a good heart that makes all the difference :)-Unnati :)

Why get a male dog neutered?

I got this in the bag for you.

You will have little to no undesirable sexual behavior problems such as mounting, roaming, and masterbating. Yes, male dogs masterbate (some females do as well).
Your dog will no longer mark. Most male dogs lift up their leg when they urinate, either way.
It can help eleminate a few forms of aggression that are influenced by male hormones.
You dog will NOT get testicular cancer. Because it won't have any testicles. It will also greatly reduce the chances of your dog getting prostate disease. Even show dogs that are bred are neutered at some point in their life after they have retired from showing. Castration can also reduce the risk of perianal tumors and perineal hernias.
Population control is the big one though. There are already millions of unwanted dogs in the world and fixing your dog will show your responisbility in that.

As for disadvantages, whatever you hear, it is false. Neutering you dog will not make him fat, your dog will get fat if you overfeed and/or don't exercise him.
He will not become lazy. My dog is just as hyper as ever.
Neutering doesn’t cause a change in personality, guarding instincts, intelligence, playfulness and affection.
Also, as long as you get your pet neutered at a reputable vet and follow they instructions and suggestions, there is no complications when it comes to the procedure of fixing your dog.

Another common misconception people have is that just because they have a pure bred dog, they should not get them fixed and maybe breed him. For those people, your dog is not a show dog. He's the offspring of a show dog. And if the breeder you got him from didn't make you sign a neuter contract, then you got your dog from a bad breeder. No real breeder should allow you to have an un-neutered dog from their litters...

Hope that helps!
